<Nick> I think Rose wanted to be Lord because she never liked being submissive or passive even before Conquest's influence, she was power-hungry from the moment she arrived in the story, and she had good reason to hate every one of her enemies.

<Clawford> I mean she sabotaged her own awakening to keep the ability to lie to Blake
<Nick> Rose's personality: I like that she's willing to go to great lengths for what she wants (lying to Blake, mostly, exploiting others, etc.)
<Nick> I also like that she has such an identity crisis and cares so much about being the "real" Rusty Thorburn
<Nick> Her interactions with Blake's friends show a different side of her where she's more caring and open, but she still isn't vulnerable.
<Clawford> she was shaped by different memories, a different history, in her version of her life before Blake inherited the house she had been in the running and she had been subjected to the plotting from the rest of the family, participated too
<Clawford> While Blake didn't want anything to do with it and fleed
