Abraham Lincoln
was the 16th President of the United States. he was born on February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Kentucky a small village in the wild with his father Thomas and Mother Nancy Hanks when he was young he couldnt go to school because his family  was poor
he had to work on the farm feed the animals or build fences Lincolns big interrest was self-education in general reading books he couldnt buy any books and borrowed them from others At the age of nine  his mother and little brother Tommy died Abraham was depressed and only his sister sarah was with him They moved to Illinois. His father married a new wife there As a young man he started working
in a store where people started calling him "Honest Abe"
Abraham Lincoln got the nickname "Honest Abe" because  he was always incredibly honest. If he realized he had shorted someone a few cents, he would  deliver it back to the costumers
At the age of 22 Lincoln studied Law and Politics 3 years later he became a Judge
on November 1842 he Married Mary Todd
and got 4 childs Robert Thomas William and Edward
in 1845 Abraham went to the Us congress
After that he went for the Us senate to get a place he lost the debate but got popular for his arguments
in 1860 Abraham Lincoln won the election
a year later on March the 1861 he got inaugurated at Fort Summter
 On April 11 1861 the civil war began the reason was the slavery the nothern states wanted to govern themselfs and the southern states were against. through all that Abraham Lincoln made some speches in Gettysburg Address about the people that had died in the war
4 years later General Robert E lee surrendered the battle
Abraham Lincoln
wanted to rebuild the country but unfortunately 6days after the war ended he got assinated by John Wilkes Booth in a theatre
Now abraham lincoln will be rembered with the memorial in washington DC and
on Mount rushmore you can see his Face
