- BTW, were you ever able to find out whether it was possible to remain an unincorporated association beyond the revenue limit that was mentioned?
- (just with the stricter reporting rules)

- Hi John - just checked up on this again and here is what I believe to be the case (it is possible to check direct with the charity commission also.)
- You *can* be an unincorporated association with an income of over £5,000. The £5,000 marker is when you need to register your charity. Over £10,000 income means you have to start providing annual information to the Charity Commission.
- There is a model constitution here: http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/media/94739/gd3text.pdf and more info on setting up a charity (what type to set up, etc.) here: http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/start-up-a-charity/setting-up-a-charity/
- Hope this helps. The number for the charity commission is on the back of the pdf file, or at the website. I have found they are usually helpful when you get through to someone.
- The main problem with UA's though - trustee liability.
