  1. (11705) Shot__: The ride back is completely uneventful. The other passengers are silent, and for once, the party follows suit - something about the atmosphere makes it hard to talk. As you approach the town, you realize, something is very deeply wrong. The Inn was only the start. Several of the smaller houses are charred husks, a few covered with a strange frost. The temple to the Gods stands, however, and you can almost see a wide circle where the devastaton could not touch, centered upon it. it's like asome sort of disaster wracked the village.
  2. (11705) Shot__: ((Still going.))
  3. (11705) Shot__: The cleric takes you into the temple, where several cots are taken up by forribly injured people, an initiate tending to their wounds to the best of his ability. He looks up when he sees the Cleric return. "Father Rob! Thank the heavens you are safe!" The old man chuckles as he guides the party in. "Not the heavens, boy. These fine folk."
  4. (11705) Shot__: ((Go~))
  5. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Shale an lungrot, wha happed here?"
  6. (11709) Greyhorn: ((I'm back))
  7. (11712) Kindle: Kindle the half-orc had only just been re-awakened by the Cleric's curative magics as they entered the town, and his immediate questions and comments were stifled by his needing to re-orient himself to his surroundings, keepin the normally loud man quiet up to this point as he examined the town's condition. However, after following the rest of the party into the temple, Pwll's question would seem to break the half-orc out of his reverie and he'd speak up as well, once more speaking in the common tongue rather than the tainted demonic language. "Indeed, someone explain. S...Father, how did you and the others get apprehended by MacDuff? And... what happened, back there?" The latter question more directed to his companions than the father.
  8. (11712) Kindle: "I think i remember MacDuff being felled but... With all the flames and confusion, I don't recall what precisely happened afterwards."
  9. ** (11786) Pwll Kennall looks at the others worriedly **
  10. (11705) Shot__: ((Typan))
  11. (11817) Antal: "Are you... feeling alright Ser Kindle?"
  12. (11705) Shot__: ((nvm))
  13. (11712) Kindle: Kindle shakes his head. Not entirely... The entire battle at MacDuff's manor is a bit blurry to me. I'd... appreciate it if someone brought me up to speed with exactly what happened once we entered. And how we got back and such.
  14. (11712) Kindle: ((input quotation marks before Not Entirely and after And Such"
  15. (11712) Kindle: ))
  16. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "In tha wagen, acurse. Didnae think ye were fit ta walk...
  17. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Tha bestard's prebebly ded, tha we dannae ha a head, so be an tha lookut anywho.
  18. (11712) Kindle: "Yes but... was everything... resolved? Is MacDuff dead? Was the man Yli chased caught? Did... Did anyone find out what happened to Krysnt?" He begins to take stock of the people in the temple, the half-dozen injured, and looks between Rob and Greyhorn, somewhat awkwardly. "Are either of you two capable of healing these folk? I have... some skill in the area, but do not have much practice in healing the wounds of others, rather only msyself."
  19. (11705) Shot__: Rob is already healing the people, carefully moving among them and making sure no poisons were used.
  20. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Ah cen recut staens fa ah bridge, ah reface ah builden, ah get tha boonta of tha erth, but ah cannae de ah thin aboot tha flesh.
  21. (11758) Antal (exit): 20:27
  22. ** (11712) Kindle stares at Pwll for a few moments, trying to decipher his speech (as per usual). He looks questioningly at the others, hopin that some of the more intelligible speakers would be the ones who'd enlighten him as to recent events. **
  23. (11817) Antal: "I killed MacDuff with a shot to the heart, Kindle. Of this you can be sure."
  24. ** (11786) Pwll Kennall looks troubled, but doesn't disagree. **
  25. (11712) Kindle: Kindle looks greatly relieved and heartened by the statement, nodding to the halfling with respect
  26. (11817) Antal: ((Wait we saved the chick right? Krysnt?))
  27. (11786) Pwll Kennall: ((Nah, she buggered off))
  28. (11712) Kindle: "And what of the..." He snaps his fingers, thinking. "What of those crystal things? I do recall hearing the clink of at least one, yes? Did we recover any of those corrupted stones? Did father Rob purge them of their taint?"
  29. (11786) Pwll Kennall: ((As a raven, I bleev))
  30. (11712) Kindle: ((She became a bird and flew off))
  31. (11705) Shot__: "As for what happened here..." Rob speaks as he carefully sews shut a wound. "A great tide of monsters. Like the sort you hear of in the prayers... They broke the western wall, and plowed through all the way to our temple. I have gone to work inspecting the stone, but I had to send it to Freehaven to truly see about getting answers."
  32. ** (11786) Pwll Kennall still looks troubled **
  33. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Ah didnae see her thar.
  34. (11786) Pwll Kennall: ((Didn't reveal her face, right?))
  35. (11712) Kindle: "Didn't see who? Krysnt? But..." Kindle grits his teeth and looks out the door with some apprehension. "The... The manor burnt down, did it not? Or did you all prevent it from doing so? I'm just hoping he... didn't have any other hostages further in there that we were unable to rescue."
  36. (11712) Kindle: ((You never came up the stairs so you probably didn't see, Pwll, but I think one of my attacks made her dodge and lose her hood, for a bit ))
  37. (11712) Kindle: ((Kindle probably saw but is a bit addled atm))
  38. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Ah hae ah feelen she's stel amon tha liven, bu nah wey ta kno.
  39. (11817) Antal: "I broke the bonds holding MacDuff's victims there. They're safe, for the most part."
  40. (11712) Kindle: Kindle looks to the priest. "Monsters, you say? But it was MacDuff who had you as hostages where we found you. Has he allied himself with further foul beasts and demons? What can you say as to what they were and where they came from?"
  41. (11712) Kindle: "What about back rooms and annexes, Antal? Can we... can we be sure that there were no others..?"
  42. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Any oh tha ded lyin aboot?
  43. (11844) extremis (enter): 20:33
  44. (11844) extremis (exit): 20:33
  45. (11712) Kindle: Kindle sighs and rubs at his healed-over eye-socket, then shakes his head. "I suppose there's really nothing to be done about it... What's done is done and... We did try our best. To torture ourselves with that which we cannot know would be.. folly."
  46. (11817) Antal: "I... don't know? I mean, we didn't have time to check. I'd assumed that Macduff had brought all of his victims to the front of the house."
  47. (11705) Shot__: "They could not best the wards of our temple... That is where bandits came in, lead by a great furred... thing, with a great gemstone in its back. They cleaved off William's arm, slammed me over the back of the head..." he shakes his head. "I have theories regarding these stones, but it's too soon to say."
  48. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Tha entir plece twere catchin. Didnae see tha cause...
  49. ** (11712) Kindle grits his teeth **
  50. (11712) Kindle: "Well what's done is done, no matter how regrettable. What of the beasts you speak of, Father? Could they still be about? Is the town not secure?" Kindle looks to the acolyte that greeted Father Rob as they entered.
  51. (11705) Shot__: "The town is secure - the beasts vanished some time ago." the alcolyte states. "We went out and checked. They aren't invisible."
  52. ** (11709) Greyhorn raises an eye at that, breaking his silence. "You checked for that?" **
  53. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Nae curpses? Nae bleed?
  54. (11712) Kindle: He nods to the man and takes a moment to turn to William, the guard captain. "I regret, sir, that your town was so assaulted. There is evil in the world and it needs little encouragement nor reason to prey upon those it can. I imagine you are sending word to nearby allied towns for assistance in recovering and rebuilding?"
  55. ** (11712) Kindle furrows his eyebrows questioningly and turns to the little pooch **
  56. (11712) Kindle: "For what reason do you keep asking about bodies?"
  57. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Tae see wha tha blested thins were?
  58. (11705) Shot__: "Because those from outside our realm return home when they die. And for examnation." he adds.
  59. (11712) Kindle: "From... outside our realm...?" Kindle looks confused but doesn't really wish to press the matter
  60. (11705) Shot__: Rob waves it off, nodding. "The wquestion is what we do now."
  61. (11817) Antal: "I agree, we should plan our next move."
  62. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Kep goon. Tha mest immediat oobstacle is oot ah tha wey, an tha preblem is oonla goona get werse, I spect.
  63. (11712) Kindle: "We need to gauge the dangers we might face. Do we have any reason to believe that MacDuff's plans haven't ended? If he's dead so be it, but the man we brought here, Gallus, is still at large, and even if he was working for MacDuff we don't know what he might do. Do... Does anyone here have any information or even theories about where these gemstones that MacDuff's been using came from? Father Rob, you said you had some idea, and even if you're not sure, i'd like to hear it."
  64. (11705) Shot__: ((Typan))
  65. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Ah'm interested ah well.
  66. (11705) Shot__: "Very well." he walks to the podium, reaching under to find a great book. This he places on it and turns the pages. "Some time ago, in a world not our own, there lived secveral demon lords." he says. "Each goverened their own tribe of sinning beasts. Each had their own specialties and powers... And they all warred for supremacy. In time, there came a clear victor over the others - Lord Sanguinus, he of blood, he of shadow, he of darkness."
  67. (11705) Shot__: ((Cont...))
  68. (11705) Shot__: "But these monsters are wily. They did not take well to defeat. They tricked Sanguinus with spoils from the world of men - and trapped him here. It is my opinion thus far that somehow, Sanguinus is alive and well despite his death at the hands of Judge some thirty years hence."
  69. (11705) Shot__: "And these troubles... relate to him."
  70. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Ah doo remembe soomethen of tha soort ben sed... 'Joodge'?
  71. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "Dannae knew tha wen.
  72. (11705) Shot__: "Judge was a paladin constructed in the Hall of Lights, before Warforged were baned. He was one of the greatest paladins the land has known."
  73. (11712) Kindle: Kindle furrows his oft-furrowed brow at the name 'Sanguinus,' the name ringing a bell but the half-orc not quite being able to place it. "So these... demons... fought each other and the one that won... ended up trapped here? But then you say he was killed by someone? I don't understand, how do you make the connection between this story and what's been happening here?"
  74. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "An I'v ne'er heard ah a demen tha went doon simpla. Wet heppen efter?
  75. (11705) Shot__: The cleric lifts the book and turns it to the party for them to see. Men with stones stuck in their heads charged across a field of fire. "After his demise, it was said he continued to influence the world of man with special stones."
  76. (11705) Shot__: "but these stories awere disconnected, disparate." he grumbles. "The Hall will not accept a mobilisation without proof that Sanguinus lives yet."
  77. (11786) Pwll Kennall: "An wet heppen ta thiz 'Joodge'?
  78. (11705) Shot__: "Old age. He simply... ceased moving. We have the remains here... iand that is part of my proposed plan."
  79. (11712) Kindle: "Forgive my ignorance, but I know nothing of this Hall of Lights... but by what you speak of them, they are some sort of organization that might send help if they knew the nature of this foe?" He otherwise was content with Pwll's questioning
  80. (11705) Shot__: "A coalition of the good churches." Rob said. "they offer help to those dealing with demons, devils, undead... But they are... difficult to reason with." he grunted. "In any case, Kindle, i vbelieve you have proven yourself worthy of an honor few knew even attainable." he turns and points behind the room, to a small set of stairs. "Go alone, down those stairs. Return only when you are finished."
  81. (11712) Kindle: Kindle looks at Father Rob, confused, then looks at the rest of his companions questioningly, wondering if they had any input they'd wish to share.
  82. (11709) Greyhorn: "Go on boy. Don't keep us waitin"
  83. ** (11786) Pwll Kennall shrugs, and heads outside to mess with a large pile of summoned dirt and rocks. **
  84. (11712) Kindle: "Uh... all right. You needn't wait up for me. I'm sure there are... other things you might wish to be doing." And so the half orc looked at the priest again before shrugging his shoulders and resolutely heading down those stairs
  85. ** (11709) Greyhorn goes into deep thought, but keeps himself busy with helping the priests tend to the wounded. **
  86. ** (11817) Antal decides to join Greyhorn and watch him work his dorfmagic on the wounded. **
  87. (11705) Shot__: ((Character interaction! Wheeee.))
  88. ** (11709) Greyhorn goes through the motions of checking a wounded mans pulse, first by the hand, then the wrist, then the neck. "Hmm. Hmmmm." He puts his head against the mans chest. "Hmmmm" **
  89. (11709) Greyhorn: "Mmmhmmm"
  90. ** (11709) Greyhorn pulls out his flask of whisky and gives the man a good dose of the good stuff. **
  91. ** (11709) Greyhorn moves on to the next patient. **
  92. (11705) Shot__: ((Antal, are you even there?))
  93. (11817) Antal: ((Sure why not?))
  94. (11709) Greyhorn: "So..." The dwarf says, not turning from checking the next patient down the line.
  95. (11817) Antal: "I've actually got a question, Ser Dwarf. How'd you learn to heal the wounded?"
  96. (11709) Greyhorn: "Comes with being a man of faith ya see."
  97. ** (11709) Greyhorn straightens his back. "That and too many accidents at the forge to not learn." **
  98. ** (11709) Greyhorn gives this patient the pancea medicence of the day, and finishes the last bit himself. "Come on. The cellars gotta have somethin" **
  99. (11817) Antal: "Doesn't look like medicine to me, Ser Dwarf. Are you sure that's going to help?"
  100. ** (11709) Greyhorn moves around the beds and checks in a closet or two, ruffling around the folded cloth stored there, searching for hidden supplies. "Does it stitch their wounds? No. The priests already did that. Does it prevent disease? No. The priests are careful with that. Does it ease their pain?" The dwarf stops for a moment, and puts his hands on his hips. "Aye. It does that. They'll be greatful for the fire in their veins, and the dullness of their hurts." **
  101. ** (11709) Greyhorn frowns. "Now where would they hide it..." **
  102. (11705) Shot__: "Hide it, Greyhorn?" the acolyte asks. "You could just ask. We had to take in the Inn's brews after the fire, after all."
  103. (11817) Antal: "I really do need to learn a more useful skill than killing."
  104. (11709) Greyhorn: "Bah. Then point the way." The dwarf glances at Antal. "Ya fancy anything?"
  105. whispering to Antal, Ya fancy anything? How about Josephine?
  106. (11817) Antal: "Not at the moment, no."
  107. (11709) Greyhorn: "Then I suggest brewing. Make the world smile after the days done."
  108. (11860) Blakdout36 (enter): 21:20
  109. (11705) Shot__: "Truly." the acolyte agrees, leading them to another room where the inkeeper somehow managed to set up a bar.
  110. (11817) Antal: "Brewing, eh?"
  111. (11709) Greyhorn: "Blast it all."
  112. (11709) Greyhorn: "Yes. Brewing. A good Ale is worth a thousand wizards."
  113. ** (11709) Greyhorn approaches the barkeep, before rifling through his own pockets, seaching for the gold he has left. **
  114. (11860) Blakdout36 (exit): 21:24
  115. ** (11709) Greyhorn trades some of his gold for a few silver pieces, then proceeds to buy some quality...or at least decent drink. **
  116. (11880) (16) Yli (5 down) (enter): 21:32
  117. (11712) Kindle: (( Sup faggot. YOU HEALED, BRO.))
  118. Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (11880) (16) Yli (5 down)...
  119. ** (11709) Greyhorn returns to his ministrations. **
  120. (11712) Kindle: (( someone gonna whisper to Yli and catch him up? Shall I?))
  121. (11786) Pwll Kennall: ((I'll get it.))
  122. (11817) Antal: ((Word))
  123. (11885) The Narrator (enter): 21:40
  124. (11885) Pwll Kennall: ((Or I'll randomly crash and drop out. Apparently.))
  125. (11712) Kindle: (( Word ))
  126. (11709) Greyhorn: [1d6] => [1] = (1)
  127. ** (11709) Greyhorn goes outside a short time later. **
  128. (11709) Greyhorn: "Hrum..."
  129. (11817) Antal: ((So what now?))
  130. (11880) Yli: ((still waiting - don't crash again pwll))
  131. (11705) Shot__: ((Hmmm...))
  132. (11705) Shot__: "Ser Antal." comes a soft cvoice from directly behind him.
  133. ** (11817) Antal turns slowly. "Yes?" **
  134. (11705) Shot__: The young woman smiles. "Thank you again for saving me. It is like a bardic tale, isn't it?"
  135. (11817) Antal: "The best kind, I'm sure. I haven't uh... I haven't heard many bardic tales though. Not many bards come through Nowh- er, my old home. "
  136. (11705) Shot__: "Not many through here, either - but I always make certain to listen." she sighs. "Your orc friend seems so disturbed, of late. Will he be alright?"
  137. (11817) Antal: "Who, Ser Kindle? He'll be fine. He's a very driven man, and I doubt there's much in this world capable of hurting him."
  138. (11817) Antal: "Really, I've seen him shrug off blows that'd kill a weaker man."
  139. (11712) Kindle: (( *flexes* ))
  140. (11705) Shot__: "Truly, he is strong. I hope you and he stay safe iin your continued adventures. Things are truly getting out of hand for this little country."
  141. (11712) Kindle: Speaking of everyone's favorite half-orc, now would be the time when the one-eyed Kindle would re-emerge from that backroom with its sunken stairway, looking rather pleased with himself and carrying a new weapon over one shoulder. He'd take a moment to enter into what he no-doubt thought was a gallant pose of nobility (except for being, you know, a one-eyed half-orc) before looking over those present to locate his companions.
  142. (11817) Antal: "We'll be fine so long as we stick together, I think. I'm more worried about you, Josephine. Are you going to be safe here?"
  143. Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (11885) Pwll Kennall...
  144. (11705) Shot__: "I should be fine, if I stay in the church." she says, "But more and more I've been considering going with you."
  145. (11712) Kindle: "Father Rob..." Kindle calls out for the man, looking for him.
  146. ** (11817) Antal cringes. "Danger follows us everywhere we go. If you were to come with us, you'd be subjected to the same life-threatening situations we go through every day." **
  147. ** (11709) Greyhorn moves back, through the church, taking mild interest at the conversation between Antal and Josie, before continuing on to the bar again, to gather supplies. **
  148. (11817) Antal: "Do you have any family you can stay with? Anyone living far away from here, anyone who can take you in?"
  149. (11705) Shot__: "But at the least, you could safeguard me!"
  150. (11705) Shot__: "...No, noone."
  151. (11705) Shot__: Rob looks up. "The Gavel! My intuition was correct!"
  152. (11712) Kindle: For those who would be in a position to see (now or later) his new two-handed hammer, they would probably at first notice the flames inscribed in certain parts of the weapon, alon the hilt and parts of the head. However, after a casual glance, the hammer would be revealed to be very very worn, the silver of the weapon showing much use.
  153. (11712) Kindle: Kindle would treat the priest to somethin of a curious smile. "Your intuition, Father? Where have my companions gotten themselves off to. There are matters of which we ought discuss."
  154. (11705) Shot__: "I, ah, I shall send runners." he says, the Acolyte already dashing off to fetch the Corgi.
  155. (11712) Kindle: (( Fetch ))
  156. (11885) Pwll Kennall: ((Dohohohohohoho))
  157. (11712) Kindle: "Father, might I ask a question before everyone else gets here. I apologize if this seems odd, but how many citizens died when the town was attacked?"
  158. ** (11709) Greyhorn puffs at a new pipe, then pays the barkeep, before wandering back out to the main hall. **
  159. (11705) Shot__: "... Ten." he says softly.
  160. ** (11817) Antal frowns. "Believe me Josephine, I want to protect you, but I can't do that if I'm leading you headlong into danger." **
  161. (11712) Kindle: Kindle would nod slowly, trying to show some sympathy for the man who had probably known each of the ten for a very long time.
  162. (11712) Kindle: (( God damn it guys, don't make me have Kindle do the 'PLAYER CHARACTERS.... ASSEMBLEEEE!' call ))
  163. (11880) Yli: ((say avengers))
  164. (11712) Kindle: (( give him an IC reason to call themselves such and he might ))
  165. ** (11709) Greyhorn is probably behind kindle. Not saying a word, merely smoking. **
  166. (11786) Pwll Kennall (exit): 22:10
  167. (11880) Yli: Yli is behind Kindle, and has been for a few minutes. He's trying to distract himself from the goings on by focusing on a task, namely 'How long can I keep the one-eyed half-orc from seeing me?'
  168. (11705) Shot__: Josephine nods. "I understand." she says.
  169. (11709) Greyhorn: Everyone but Antal is behind Kindle)
  170. (11712) Kindle: When Antal enters, he'd nod to the halfing and call out to him. "Well at least one of you stuck around... Father Rob sent some people out but as of yet there's been no response and there's been some developments you all need to be made aware of, if only the rest of those-" Whatever the half-orc was going to say would be cut off as he turned around and nearly jumped out of his skin, finding the rest of his company behind him. he'd take a few moments to collect himself, clearing his throat and rubbing his nose, etc.
  171. ** (11885) Pwll Kennall steps back in, holding the glowing stone from the wagon on the end of a shovel, carefully keeping it from touching anything. **
  172. (11880) Yli: Kindle was clearly alerted to the fact of people behind him from Yli trying to stifle a cough provoked by Greygorn's smoking.
  173. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Reet than. Wha did ye went?
  174. (11712) Kindle: "Ah, yes, err... Developments!" His embarassment made his voice drop into something a bit gruff for a bit. "Yes well... Father Rob had some... idea, connecting the stories of Sanguinus with what's been going on here, and, uh... sent me down... down there... And there was, indeed, a connection to be... to be found."
  175. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Prest? Ah bleev ye wanten these?
  176. (11705) Shot__: ((Smoooooth))
  177. (11705) Shot__: "Dear gods, hound, what IS that?!" he askes, carefully heaving it onto a nearby altar.
  178. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Twas in tha bogie, iffen ye rememer?
  179. (11712) Kindle: The half-orc would let the hammer's head drop to the ground with a thud. "This is the weapon of the one Father Rob told us of, of the Judge. There were inscriptions on the stones below, as well as.. .some kind of, uh, residual spirit, that spoke to me. I believe that Father Rob's hunch is correct, that this demon Sanguinus is using these stones to affect humanity in some sort of... attempt to either free himself or make the world into one more befitting his image. However, he, the spirit also said that there were other tombs, for his other companions, and suggested we seek them out, that we may find further clues and instruments to strike out against this oncoming evil. Of course... This does make some assumptions, I'm aware."
  180. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Aye, tha tha ferrest has ta de wit tha demens. Tis not oonresenable, acurse.
  181. (11712) Kindle: He turned his gaze over the dwarf, lil corgi, yith, and halfling. "The first being that this is any of your business. Well I might just go on and give lectures on how it's the responsibility of any capable of doing so to fight evil wherever it might be, but for those of you les... altruistically inclined... We've al still been tasked to deal with the forest, which seems linked up in this somehow. I don't know where any of these other tombs are, though I think we might ask Father Rob about it, but it's... something to keep in mind, in the meantime."

  189. (11709) Greyhorn: "So...Was that for us or...?"
  190. (11712) Kindle: "What I mean to say is... We have been through a few fights, the group of us and... I see all of your... value. And I would be... greatful, and honored, if... if you'd perhaps, yes you, journey with me even after our task here is done."

  206. (11885) Pwll Kennall: ((Annoying thing))
  207. (11712) Kindle: Kindle would get the sort of deers-in-the-headlights look he always got whenever trying to decipher Pwll's words, and would eventually shake out of it, nodding tentatively as at least Greyhorn made a clear confirmation. "Yes. yes indeed. That's indeed my hope. But elsewise, our direction points us to the forest. I'm not sure if there's anything... Anything further we can do here, if they even have supplies to spare. Greyhorn, did you get a good look at that which you took off MacDuff's body? Any of it magical perchance?"
  208. (11709) Greyhorn: "Not yet lad. I've been waitin' for a good forge before I set down an' look at that."
  209. (11712) Kindle: "Ah I see... Well we ought take some time for that. Perhaps... perhaps you might be able to tell me some things about this Gavel as well..."

  226. (11880) Yli: "Of course."
  227. (11712) Kindle: "otherwise... Greyhorn, I'll follow you to the forge. I'd greatly like to know more about this..." He fingers his new hammer fondly

  247. (11712) Kindle: (( You know it))
  248. ** (11712) Kindle goes with Greyhorn to the Forge **
  249. (11712) Kindle: "Err, Greyhorn, how do you intend to use the forge to help understand the qualities of these weapons? What else did you find on MacDuff's body anyway?"

  251. (11880) Yli: Yli stifles a chuckle, wondering if the man will understand a word.
  252. (11705) Shot__: The man wakes, looking up at you, saying nothing.
  253. ** (11709) Greyhorn pulls the objects off of his back and sets them down on the anvil. "When your God is the God of the Forge, ya tend to have ruituals for everything. I'm not too fond of those things that work in the dark, so I find my comfort in the light of a good forge." **
  254. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Yer nae anne'er git wha cannae unnerstan plen Cemmen, are ye?

  256. ** (11709) Greyhorn prepares the forge, sparking a fire in the coals, and stoking them, giving a nice warm heat blasting out before too long. "So excuse me if I take my time with my ministrations. I am a dwarf of the cloth." **
  257. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Aye, guid. Wen was tha? Moonth, twa aga?
  258. ** (11817) Antal pauses, then adds, "Yeah and did you see anything strange? Like, monsters running around?" **
  259. (11712) Kindle: Kindle nods slowly. "I'm not exactly one who practices anything that I'd really call magic myself... I mean there's no rituals, no gesturing, no words of power... I just sort of... Get angry at things." He shrugs awkwardly, a bit embarassed at his lack of sophisitcation comparitively. "So this is all rather new to me."
  260. (11705) Shot__: "mo' like a few des. 'E jus'

  265. (11705) Shot__: "nuttin' strange, naw, unnil bawsmen started gettin' awl... fuzzay."
  266. (11712) Kindle: "All the same, I prefer the idea that I'm the one wiedling that hammer, rather than the iron being molded by someone else's hammer. Err, no offense to you or your beliefs, I'll just... observe quietly if that's better."
  267. ** (11709) Greyhorn dusts himself off and goes and tries to put on the gloves laying nearby. Sadly, they are too big. "Tch...Nothin' can be done." **
  268. (11709) Greyhorn: "Ha. Someone else's hammer? The Forgemaster doesn't forge your life. He doesn't make your way for you. That's for you to do. Likewise, it's up to you to forge your anger into something usable."
  269. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Ana chooice in tha tergets? An 'fuzza'?
  270. (11712) Kindle: "Well... I like to think that it's something useable. At least, I've been using it, anyway, soo... Well no matter."
  271. ** (11709) Greyhorn takes out his Blacksmiths hammer, and grabs a set of prongs, using them to unravel the cloak, and get a proper look at the two items in hand. **
  272. (11705) Shot__: "Yer, fuzzay. Big, too. reel big, like., like a bear, get? An' naw, we jus' had ter get a coupla heads. Yers."

  279. (11709) Greyhorn: ((Yes.)

  290. (11705) Shot__: The man shakes his head. "Nuttin. But I tell, it's right weir' workin' foer him."
  291. ** (11709) Greyhorn reverses his grip on the blade, and looks to it's hilt. "Brother in trade and an annoying one at that. How did you find your way in these mens hands?" **
  292. (11885) Pwll Kennall: "Ah? Hoo sa? Didnae han oot stoons ta alla tha men, ah hoop...

  295. (11712) Kindle: Kindle opens his mouth for a moment as he thought that Greyhorn might've been speaking to him, but then closes his mouth as he realizes that he'd been speaking to the blade. He himself has his hammer ready to hand to the dwarf at any time.

  326. (11709) Greyhorn: "You'll want to reach out and hold it in your hand. Only to find it's still on fire. Still hot. Those only burn you."
