[center]The following information is meant for those who have been absent for a extended period of time, and for those who could not attend recruit orientation but want basic info before playing on the public server.[/center]

[center][size=12pt][b]Note[/b]- this does [i]not[/i] mean reading this will exempt you from attending orientation. Orientation is [b][u]mandatory[/u][/b], and should be completed before playing in a event. [/size][/center]

Recruit orientation is hosted by myself and Shadow Fridays [i]one hour[/i] before a event (6:00pm EST), so be sure to swing by with all of your mods properly configured. If you miss orientation because you didn't configure TFAR correctly, it's not our problem.

        Alright, let's begin.

[size=14pt][b]Basic controls and setup for TFAR[/b][/size]

[size=12pt]TFAR is the newly implemented communication system we currently use, which is [i]almost[/i] identical to ACRE.[/size]

To check if your TFAR is enabled, go to your Teamspeak plugins. It should look something like this-

Click "Plugins" and make sure "Task Force Arma 3 Radio" is checked.

If you click the text box, it should give more information on the right.

Compare the version you have with others. [i]( The current version as of 10/23/16 is 0.9.8 )[/i]

If you don't have the correct version of TFAR, don't worry. A3 Sync has a tool tab where it automatically updates TFAR for you.

STILL not working? Ask a staff member, or look around the forums. If we are using a specific version of TFAR, there would most likely be a post saying so.

[size=14pt][b]Radio Tuning[/b][/size]
[b]Make sure to not have your local-speech set to caps lock.[/b] This prevents you talking spatially and on the radio.

To open your radio, hit [b]Ctrl-P.[/b] After doing so, it should look something like this. (Note, there are many different radios, so it may not be exactly the same).

To change channel or frequency, you can click on the screen, and type what you need to connect to. Afterwards, hit "Set Frequency", and your good to go. [b]If you do not set your frequency, it will not save![/b]

You can also adjust what ear the output of the radio is played in by hitting [b]Ctrl-Left and right arrow.[/b] Hitting [b]Ctrl-Uparrow[/b] will revert these changes.
If you are equipped with a long range radio, you can hit [b]Ctrl-Caps Lock[/b] to speak on it.
