  1. "I never believed in the stories." He started. "I never saw sense in their speech. All they taught me was hatred." He took a pull of his cigarette, his eyes narrowing through the smoke he exhaled to get a better look at the person across from him.
  2.
  3. "No learning or logical method. Nor reason or rhyme to their words." he leaned backwards in his chair, taking another pull.
  4.
  5. "You ask me what my people taught me. They taught me that nothing is sacred."
  6.
  7. "Surely you exaggerate, we hear stories of how saiyans are some of the greatest warriors, honourable, strong. Is it possible that your viewpoint might be skewed?" They finally spoke, it was a woman, in a red suit, with a slit skirt and cherry lipstick. She sounded arrogant to Targos, a know it all.
  8.
  9. "Oh, definitely so. Now, saiyans being some of the greatest warriors? Quite so, and yes they are strong. But honourable? No." He was trying to think of things to say, to get his point across.
  10.
  11. "Saiyan honour is non existent." He began. "At birth you are ripped out of the womb of your mother and put into a tank, and your life is judged by how strong you are at the time." He continued "If they deem it necessary the child is then flung to a far off planet, there to either conquer it as he grows or die."
  12.
  13. He glanced at the cameraman standing behind the woman. He'd love to know how these people found him. He frowned and looked back to the woman.
  14.
  15. "Indeed, as my coming of age challenge I was tasked with murdering an entire planet at the age of five."
  16.
  17. "Coming of age?" she asked.
  18.
  19. "Yes, I was lucky to have been born to some of the remaining tribal saiyans, this was when we were just starting to work for the Tyrant, Freeza." He shrugs.
  20.
  21. "Tell me what that was like?" She leaned forward eagerly.
  22.
  23. "At first? Exhilarating, but it got boring after a while, I've probably killed billions of people and hundreds of warriors." He shrugged "They were good and bad times."
  24.
  25. "Tell me about the bad times." she said.
  26.
  27. "Hmm, there was a time when my scouter was destroyed by a planet's defender, some sort of avian creature, I didn't think anything of it at the time, but apparently it had figured out that I was using it to find it's people. Smart creature." He took another drag.
  28.
  29. "Anyways, since I had no other way of sensing energy, I was promptly ambushed, I remember that fight very clearly, I still have the scars from when their energy blasts melted the armour on my back to my skin." He chuckled.
  30.
  31. "That's... Horrifying." She finished.
  32.
  33. "Oh yes, painful too." He told her.
  34.
  35. There was silence for a while, the woman took out a small note book and began leafing through it.
  36.
  37. "So, Targos, I understand that you.. Have a son?" He raised an eyebrow at that. "Can you tell us about that, what's the relationship between you two?"
  38.
  39. "I could." He replied.
  40.
  41. There was more silence as he finished his cigarette.
  42.
  43. "...Will you?" she asked.
  44.
  45. "I'm thinking about it." he replied.
  46.
  47. More waiting.
  48.
  49. "The relationship, is at times strained, and at others non existent." He finally summarized. "he's very smart though, I'd like to think he got that from me." He shrugs.
  50.
  51. "Would you say you're a good father?" she asked.
  52.
  53. "I'd say I'm no father at all." He answered.
  54.
  55. "That's a bit harsh, don't you think?" she seemed troubled.
  56.
  57. "Not really, the boy grew up without a father, and now he will live without one." He kept his face decidedly neutral. "He seems to do just fine."
  58.
  59. "Ah..." she finished lamely.
  60.
  61. "C-can you tell me about his mother?" she asked.
  62.
  63. He frowned. "His mother and I... No longer talk, I have made... Efforts but I am rebuffed each time." He began standing up.
  64.
  65. "I'm done with this interview, I have things to do." He began walking out of his office.
  66.
  67. "O-oh, thank you commander! My name is Sherry Atkins, of Conton News, p-please contact me if you'd like to say more!"
