Here are some of my ideas for a challenge run of the game it started off as kind of a selfish challenge run, but kind of branched out to more of set of rules you can play by to add difficulty to the game. The basic rules are what I thought of first to go with a selfish Brad challenge run. I would still suggest at least doing no do-overs rule for anything you would like to try. The format is kind of similar to achievements. Name: description. As far as I know all of them are possible And shouldn’t overlap in a way that you couldn’t do everything at once.

  7. Basic rules (Suggested Parts)

  9. 1.No do-overs: No reloading after a member dies. When they die they are gone for good.

  11. 2.I need my Fix: You must beat all the joy mutants (other than Blue.)

  13. 3.King of the world: You must beat Satan
  14.  
  15. 4.They aren’t worth it: You must keep both your arms
  16.  
  17. 5.He wasn’t important anyways: You must give up Terry

  19. 6.Blood for Money: When you get to roulette you must play until you run out of members, or beat them all. You can only reload if you fail the forced part.

  21. 7.Only she matters: You must sacrifice your party for Buddy

  23. 8.Who cares?: When you lose a party member from sleeping at a campsite you can’t reload to get them back. If they get kidnapped, you can’t pay for them back. You can however fight them.

  25. 9.This is their fault: You must kill Rick and Sticky.

  28. Bonus rules
  29. Rules you can mix and match for added challenge or have none of them. Most of them are intend with the basic rules in play.

  31. 1.Sticky’s Curse: When a party member joins you that slot become locked. You can’t remove or switch spots until that spot becomes free.

  33. 2.Sleepy head: You must sleep at all campsites you pass for the first time

  35. 3.Xtreme sleepy head: You must sleep at all campsites you pass.

  37. 4.The Worst deal: You must give up your arms. All other rules stay the same.

  39. 5.I need my fix now!: You must fight all joy mutants as soon as you get near them. As soon as you can fight Punkert you must. When you get to the top of snow mountain you must fight Peter before leaving. As soon as you enter the bathhouse you must beat Beady before leaving. You must kill Wyatt before going to Wally. Basically every time you enter a zone with one, you have to kill it before moving on.

  41. 6.Everything Hurts: Play on pain mode without giving joy to anyone.

  43. 7.Travel light: you can’t have more than 35 items. This includes active party member’s equipment. Mandatory key items don’t count toward this. If you get more than 35 you must sell or use items until you have 35 or under again. If you enter a battle with more than item limit you must reload.

  45. 8.Not heartless: You must get Goldie, Toby, and Bo; you must give Goldie and Toby back. And lead Bo to his brother.

  47. 9.No time to lose: You must not fight any battles that are optional. You can’t do any wrestling. When done with an area that you get into random battles you can’t go back to them. You may visit the Bees once for a lighter version of this rule. But after that one visit you must car ride back and you can’t go to the Bees ever again.

  49. 10.Quick reactions only: Every time you get hit on the overworld by something avoidable you must reload and try again. Battles and falls don’t count. Barrel bros/Marty spiders do count.

  51. 11.It’s my money!: You can’t pay mags for party members or events you can avoid doing so. You can still shop normally. And you must still play roulette until you are unable to do so.

  53. 12.Ropes are for suckers: You must take the quickest path everywhere even if that means a large fall.

  55. 13.Us vs the world: You can only have Brad and one other party member at a time.

  57. 14.Sober Mission: You may not use Birdie. He is just that overpowered he gets his own rule. You can get Him to kill him off just not use him battle.

  59. 15.Zero Trust: You can’t use any risk free rests.

  61. 16.What friends are for: Brad can only defend and use items no attacks or skills. Brad can only act normally when alone.

  63. 17.Rough Tumble: You may not use skills that stun in any way (para, stun, fallen, scared). You may not blind them either.

  65. 18.Winners don’t use Dots: You are not allowed to burn, bleed, or poison, any boss. Accidental bleeds from weapon attacks are allowed.

  67. 19.Hearts full of Joy: As soon you get your first joy addict other than Brad you can only have joy addicts in your party. You must recruit all of them except Buckets. If you lose all of them enjoy your Brad only run.

  69. 20.Let your fists do the talking: You can’t use any skills. Brad can use combo skills but not skills directly. Brad can’t use fireballs.

  71. 21.Quit the habit: You can’t use items. You can still use key items of course.
  72.  
  73. 22.Haunting Melody: You must meet the trumpet player in every time you can other than the final time one. Afterwords the last member in your party is pseudo-dead. They must be taken out of your party and can’t be moved back in ever. You must have at least one party member other than Brad before meeting him. If Brad is only person in the game left you no longer have to meet him. You must do it before moving on to the next area if possible.

  75. 23.Easy Come, easy go: You must every character you can without breaking any other rules. You must kill everyone off or lose them before going to the last zone.

  77. 24.Soft skin, sharp teeth: You must lose at least two characters to joy mutants.

  79. 25.They grow up too fast…: As soon as a character other than brad hits level 20 they are considered dead and must be removed and never can be added back
