  1. Jesse Draven Brining iPhone is stuck on one idea, and one idea alone. Androids will reign, and iPhones will be a distant memory. Sorry, Tom.

  4. Jesse Draven Brining PS. You're not winning this one. Why? Because you're using iPhone. Last time I checked, you're running an iOS built on core processor speeds, that run at a steady rate all the time. Whereas Androids, We can overlock TWICE your processing speeds, and still conserve more battery than you can.

  8. Monica Lynn Rivera You know what, I didn't notice until you said it. I've barely used my phone today it it went from 92% to 40% in a few hours. Also, I wa trying to delete some GB stored on my messages and after I deleted all my messages it was still showing 11GB worth of messages. I searched the web about it and apparently it a glitch with the iOS 7.

  14. Jesse Draven Brining Monica, you know why? Because, iPhone is a dying breed, and they're trying EVERYTHING they can to keep their updates going, to keep themselves afloat, and keep their customers from switching to Android. So, what do they do? Prematurely release iOS updates. Apple used to be on top of their game. Whenever they released an iOS update, everything was immaculate. Goes to show you, that Apple is desperate now. Because it is, in fact, a dying breed. We'll see you all in the Android world when Apple stocks drop, they go out of business, or you just get tired of the half-assery that Apple has become now, because Android has moved in next door, and completely took over. "All your base are belong to us.".

  17. Tom Wallace Jesse Draven Brining, you act like Android has zero flaws. iOS 7 is probably my only complaint with Apple. I'm more than happy with my device. I think "rooting" and "overclocking" your device is absolutely ridiculous and when you do, I'm sure you'd be complaining about battery life as well.
  18.
  19. Now, you may tell me noooo, you never had problems and that's fine but when I read forums and have a few friends, well, more than a few friends complain about Android..then there is a reason. I'll admit, the hardware it's running on is great but I'm just not into it and don't expect Apple to be going out of business ANY time soon.

  22. Jesse Draven Brining lol, k - first off, good sir: Anyone who complains about Androids don't even know half of the shit an Android can do. They probably don't know what Linux is, or even what Open Source can do. Here's the thing - If they are complaining about their Android, they obviously don't know how to change their phone the way THEY want it, to where they will like it.
  23. I can take any Android phone out there, and make it any way I want to. Hell, I can run ACTUAL windows on my phone. Literally, DUAL BOOT WINDOWS. Yes, Windows 7, Windows 8, even Windows XP for the hell of it. Not just downloading a Launcher and go "Lulz, I has windows". No, ACTUAL windows. With task manager, device manager, anti virus, desktop, startmenu...all system properties and everything.
  24. Android prevails further than any iPhone can.
  25. Truth is, an iPhone is an expensive piece of junk that runs half way decent, looks good, but is still mediocre in comparison.
  26. iPhone has always been, and will always be, an expensive fashion statement.
  27.
  28. (I mean no disrespect, and I do hope you sincerely take this as nothing more than a debate. But, fact is - I'm right, and you're wrong. <3)

  38. Joe Pecsi An explanation of how you do it will suffice because it is impossible to natively run Windows XP or Windows 7 on an ARM architecture because those operating systems are built ontop of an x86 architecture. Even Windows 8, aside from the RT distribution. And seriously? You do realize they are both laptops right, not phones or tablets?

  66. Joe Pecsi Jailbreak an iPhone, then it is too. You "root" your android devices, don't you? Off the shelf the iPhone is not an open source device, but there are a lot of benefits in the way Apple does things. Either way it comes down to personal preference, each phone has their benefits. A jailbroken iPhone can do everything an Android device can do

  69. Jesse Draven Brining lol, no it can't. iPhone, even jailbroken, is "not" open source. And yes, it is open source off of the shelf. All you have to do, is unlock the superuser permissions, and thats it. You remove the "limitations" on things, that the carrier/manufacturer doesn't allow you do/utilize. Therefore, Android is BUILT on open source, and it has been open source from the time you unbox it, til the time you upgrade. All you have to do is remove the limitations to it.

  72. Joe Pecsi Lolz, just remove the superuser permissions....you're so h4x0r, i can tell by your profile pic too. So the iPhone isn't open source, when you jailbreak it it allows you to install any third party software which is honestly just as good. So what Android is built on open source, do you really see a need in rewriting OS code? Why would you when there are thousands of third party tools that do what you want (as far as customization is concerned).

  75. Jesse Draven Brining And by the way, the video that I just showed you, is "NOT" emulation. It's a .IMG file, and .iso (which is the Windows file before burning to a disc, using it to install windows).
  76. Therefore, it's an IMAGE of Windows Operating System on an Android. Just like Windows is an IMAGE off of a Windows Installation CD. It's not emulated. Did you see in that video, that the phone rebooted? It's rebooting, because it's restarting in Windows OS. Just like, if you were to dualboot Windows 7 and 8. In order to switch, you'll need to restart your computer.
  77. An emulator would not require you to turn off your device, rather it would just run in that program. Therefore, it is not emulated. When it restarted, it loaded the system files needed to load windows. and ta-da. Full Windows.

  80. Joe Pecsi Hey chief...the man in the video even stated that you will be using the bochs emulator. Do you actually know what .img and .iso files are? He is creating an img file of a Windows install disc (an iso) and bochs is using that img.

  83. Jesse Draven Brining No, just because an iPhone can install third party apps, doesn't make it "open source" or "just as good". The point is, iPhones can NOT overclock, can NOT underclock to save battery, they are NOT open source, and they are WAY more expensive. They're a rich man's BMW, and Android is a Honda. I'm getting better gas mileage, and I paid less for my car. You have your BMW to show you have something to prove.

  86. Joe Pecsi Just so you know, you lost all credibility when you told me you could run full blown Windows natively on an ARM architecture, then the little ounce you may have had left was lost when you told me that that video didn't involve emulation because an IMG and ISO were used. I didn't say third party made it open source, however it allows you to write software and install it that does whatever you want. The fact that you feel the need to overclock or underclock is funny because battery life is fantastic, and performance is phenomenal (pretty sure the new iPhone is the only phone out there with a 64 bit processor).

  89. Jesse Draven Brining I, obviously, know what .img and .iso files are. I have my own computer repair company. I should know that .iso images is an opt. disc image file, which uses the .iso file extension, and can use the .img file extension, too.
  90. Regardless of whatever point you're trying to prove, and what I'm trying to prove - The point remains the same. iPhones can't do half the shit that Androids can. Read up on the Linux based Operating System of Androids, and the iOS of iPhones. Then, tell me, who can do more with their phone? Customization is everything, because at that point - You can make your phone do anything, and everything you wish. However good you think their "64 bit processor" is, Android has the capability of overlocking, and destroying those speed. Why? Oh, yeah...Open Source code.

  94. HOWEVER: There are Androids out there, that match that. On top of that, Open Source customization. You're not going to win this one lol. Whatever you throw at me that iPhones can do, Androids will always trump it, because of Open Source.

  97. Joe Pecsi Do you understand that using a bochs emulator to run Windows is still emulation/virtualization? And unfortunately all of your points have been false, which is why i'm having a hard time believing what you say. Trust me, i don't need to read up on Linux or iOS. And go ahead and overclock your Android, if you want to shorten the life of the device, kill battery live, and heat the phone up that's fine. Like I said, there is no need to overclock a mobile device, especially an iOS device because it already has incredible performance. Jailbreak it, then you can do whatever it is you want on iOS

  104. Not true. Can you customize your Operating System? Can you install custom roms? Can you take your phone, Install a rom with a custom kernel, and give you more of an output from your processor WITHOUT overclocking, because of having a lightweight ROM, that runs superfast, without bloatware running up your processor? It doesn't matter what type of processor it is. It's quite important, However, when you have a custom rom with a custom kernel, it's not as important as you once expected. i'm sorry to say, my phone is going to run a lot faster than your iphone.
  105. And, my phone is going to run alot longer, because I have the ability to freeze apps that normally run all the time draining it, having those apps not use any data, battery, or anything because of root permissions.
  106. Not to mention, your iPhone doesn't have the space we do. We can put a 64g SD card in our phone, which you can't, and store 64g, plus our internal storage...your 8, 16, 32, or 64 gig iPhones are nothing compared to our storage. Especially, when you root androids, you can move apps, even Facebook (which is not permitted to move), to the SD card.

  109. Joe Pecsi Can you go a little more in depth concerning "customizing your Operating System"? Like what for example? And nope I can't, because I don't need to. There is absolutely no need to load a different kernel on my phone because it already has INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE. I have never run into a situation where I needed a faster phone, ever. You might feel that way on an Android device if the hardware you are on isn't good, or if the OS isn't efficient. Also freezing apps in the background, etc. I can do that no problem..stock. And the expandable SD card, nope ya got me there but again...how necessary is it really that one is 100% personal preference.

  112. Jesse Draven Brining I can make my phone look like anything I want:
  113. If I want different color icons on the status bar - I can do it.
  114. If I want a completely CUSTOM status bar - I can do it.
  115. If I want NO status bar - I can do it.
  116. If I want the background to run videos instead of a stupid picture - I can do it.
  117. If I want to customize the dock however I want to - I can do it
  118. If I want no dock at all - I can do it.
  119. If I want a completely different Operating System, that doesnt even LOOK like Android - I can do it (Not launcher)
  120. If I want the lock screen to be Face Recognition - I can do it.
  121. If I want to completely customize the lock screen, to put whatever I want on it (including shortcuts) - I can do it
  122. If I want to dualboot different roms, themes, and such - I can do it through Clockwork Mod.
  123. If I want to back up my phone, and I need to COMPLETELY back up my phone even if I'm not home - I can do it through Clockwork Mod
  124. if my phone takes a shit, and something happens (not likely), I can RESTORE my phone, even if I'm not home - I can do it.
  125. If I want to
  126. and soo much more.

  131. Joe Pecsi Ok, yes you can do all of that on a jailbroken iPhone. 98% of that can be done with Winterboard alone, or you can get tweaks that actually remove or customize these elements. And guess what if my phone has a problem, less likely, I can also restore it from anywhere and have all my stuff come back if I need to. Try something else

  140. Jesse Draven Brining Okay. Here's how I'm going to end this debate.
  141. Ready?
  142. Two words..."Open Source"
  143. Why do I end it with those two words? Because Open Source is "infinite". There isn't an end to Open Source. There is a beginning, but there is no end. Open Source can customize, tweak, and change an android to unfathomable lengths and depths. Open Source is endless, therefore Androids are endless. iPhones are not. There is only so much Apple can do to make the iPhone better, before they come to a full circle. Android development is open source, and can continue to develop Androids infinitely.
