I am very interested in a position in this lab, as the research seems fascinating. Having just completed classes  on ecology and evolution and deciding to minor in natural resource conservation, this lab would give me the opportunity to learn and work on a project that corresponds with my academic interests. I do not have any prior lab experience, but i am more than willing to put in the effort and hard work required to learn what is needed for the position. This opportunity would give me the chance to gain experience both in the lab and in field studies, which I hope to accomplish through my major. It would also help me determine if working in a lab is a profession that i would enjoy after completing my degree. With a relatively small course load compared to last semester, I would be able to put more than enough effort into this lab.
