Session 4

KAMEN RIDER RIKU FORCE!

RIKU WAKES UP IN HIS BEDROOM, WITH HIS HORRIFICALLY OBESE LITTLE BROTHER NOT FAR OFF.

In his house which is clearly not the worst Japanese stereotype yet, with Katana rack, Zen Garden and bonsai tree. They start shovelling some hot ramen down their mouths, while antisocially ignoring each other. Eventually he tries to leave, only to realize the elevator door no longer opens out to the elevator. He eventually concludes that he must be in the past, but decides not to warn anyone, but instead give his brother blueprints for Bumblebee VTOLs, so he can invent them.

Realizing this is retarded, he tries to get his brother to pack to aid in his brother’s kidnapping using ice-cream bribes. He tries to take a taxi towards Mt.Fuji, to avoid the massive tidal waves of Second Impact. Where he plans to camp out with Hachiro. Nothing seems to have happened the next morning.

And then it does. Blinded by the light, he manages to guide himself to Hachiro by sound. After two days, he hears two helicopters coming towards him on the mountaintop. They’re grabbed on board.

It’s been a while since Ryuzaki last saw Riku, who is missing. While pacing his surprisingly bare room, there’s a knock at the door. It unlocks, and Long swaggers in. Apparently Ethan passed away last night. Long doesn’t know where Riku is, but gets a quick jab in on him before swaggering off like a baws.

Ryu slumps in a corner, shaken by the death of the only pilot he liked. He isn’t particularly surprised, but had some respect for the civvie who’d pushed himself so far. He sets off around the base, looking for JAAAAYSU-Riku. He runs into Miranda, who also has not seen Riku. He awkwardly introduces himself to her, then tries stealing things from her office right in front of her. She has the balls to confront him about it, and tries to get her pen back, despite the fact he could likely kill her with it. He eventually concedes the pen to her, and glares at her without leaving the office while she goes back to paperwork. She gets paged, and orders the children to suit up. The children and commanders enter, as Miranda scurries off. Apparently an N2 detonation was noted in Nevada, and there is no response. The satellite feed shows only a crater. As the children find out the Nerv-02 is likely gone, Celio heads towards the hangar. Fabian tries asking SENSIBLE QUESTIONS like a PROFESSIONAL, so Celio quickly shouts him down for such stupidity.

Miranda gives Fabian the proper analysis gear, as they launch. As they approach Nevada, they see a perfectly spherical crater, 2 miles long. They have to find DAVID. There are already some helicopters present, unloading personnel. The three EVAs land with stunning precision. The latitude and longitude of the crater and Nerv-02 match exactly. Fabian plays with rocks, Celio looks for survivors outside the massive blast. EVA-unit 01 with Ryu jumps in, checking buildings to look for any holes heading underneath the crater, while Celio looks for survivors (badly). Fabian works out that the crater extends farther across than the building would have been. Celio realizes the blast armour that Ryu found had probably been weakened by the explosion. He invites Ryu to help punch it in, but Ryu begins Prog. Knifing it instead, which Fabian gets nervous about. Celio bitches at Fabian for being an ass and not caring for any potential survivors. Fabian realises the crater is far larger than any individual N2 explosion, but clearly N2 based. Sharon makes the Nerv-02 blueprints available to them.

They cut a hole in, and Fabian tosses something in to estimate the depth. 120ft. He tells the other pilots to be cautious, so Celio jumps. He lands in a dark room, seeing a dark rectangle by the far wall.
He clicks the safety off his pallet rifle and moves over to the grey box, which reads DAVID, as Fabian and Ryu jump down into the room with DAVID. Fabian is asked to connect the communications package with DAVID. The relay hums to life. Fabian cowers behind his shield as Ryu fails to find a power supply, and Celio points his pallet rifle’s barrel at a reinforced human sized door. They call in the NTU to open it, but they can’t. Nor can the EVA’s poke it in with a finger, which should have been an easy feat. Celio, fearing the worst, tries to neutralise whatever’s behind the door. As they poke harder, the door seems to bend, as if it were a stress reliever.

Something yellow-ish brown trickles inside through the gaps, which looks like sand. There must have been a cave-in. Ryu decides to try and power DAVID using his EVA’s battery pack. While its low powered, it is beginning to siphon off data towards Nerv HQ. SUDDENLY! Miranda’s Helicopter is going down, after being rammed by a crowd of birds which coalesced into one orange being before passing through the craft. Miranda parachutes out like a baws. As she looks out for the being, it’s already dispersed and flown away. Ryu is busy powering DAVID, but Fabian manages to dump the comms with Ryu while Celio scrambles up to take a shot with the Pallet Rifle on the newly appeared, glowing, puma-like 6th Angel. Fabian scrambles forward and neutralises while Celio takes aim. The creature, being roughly the size of an EVA Foot, tries to leap up Fabian’s EVA and launch a beam of light against its head, only for Fabian to parry the creature away. Miranda tries to pot-shot it with her pistol, but manages to miss the (to her) giant orange beast.

Fabian misses, twice, Celio shoots Full Auto BULLET HELL, seemingly about to get two solid hits, but it splits at the last moment into its swarm form. It once again leaps up Fabian but fails to hit, before trying to shoot against Celio, who barely manages to dodge. Miranda shoots it with her handgun, managing to hit. Fabian tries to Hold the Angel in place, after bitching to Miranda for orders. Celio once again full action aims, as the creature starts climbing up Fabian again. This time, Fabian fails to parry it away, and the resulting energy blast against his chest knocks him against the helicopter wreckage for massive damage. He’s then hit by a follow up ranged blast, which blinds and deafens him as the EVA is infected with biotoxic material.

As Miranda aims, Ryu finishes his download and leaps up to the surface, to charging prog. Knife the Angel – only for it to burst into the swarm, avoiding the hit. Fabian fumbles around blindly like a retard. Celio, making use of his aiming, unloads all three rounds into the Angel, taking a solid chunk out of the swarm. The creature jumps onto Ryu, who manages to parry it away, but it leaps over and launches an attack against his EVAs back using an Energy whip which tries to pierce the EVAs chest, only to ping off his armour.

Ryu takes up Neutralisation, as Fabian had stopped this turn, and tries to stab the beast, although he fails. Fabian climbs back to his feet, to charge the Angel. He digs the prog. Knife deep into its flesh. Celio drops his now emptied Pallet Rifle to quick draw both his Handcannons and Full Action aim with the right. The Angel tries to blast Fabian, but the damage is soaked. It then leaps ahead and fires a Positron beam, searing away the flesh of Fabian’s EVA’s right leg, as his EVA partially sets on fire, and exploding Celio’s EVA’s head. The feeling of the smouldering ruin leaves him certain that he himself is headless.

McArthur seems to be heard by Celio, who believes he’s dead (NEO-SPARTAN INTELLIGENCE, LADIES AND GENTS!) and manages to use this situation to talk him out of leaving his defeated EVA and the combat zone through ejected Entry Plug, launching 73 Dam away.

Ryu charges in, and with exceeding luck brings the Prog. Knife down in a swooping arc, managing to clip and destroy the core as the Swarm disperses in one slice.

Ryu recovers Celio’s Entry Plug, leaving it near the Helicopter, before running off to try and cut through the sand-door while Hopalong- I mean, Fabian, chases after to try and stop him. Ryu pokes the door till it snaps – revealing… Sand. And a corpse. So he begins Prog. Knifing the wall. Eventually they decide this is retarded, and so get Miranda to call in an actual excavation team. They return to the surface, and dig an additional hole down to a large shaft. They call in another excavation team, but progress is slow due to lack of shovels. However, they manage to discover that the area below is some kind of computer room, to which they send down an exploration team. It seems to be an entrance room to the David chamber, in which they find more corpses. They return to Miranda, and the team is shipped back to Alaska.

Once back at base, Ryuzaki DESTROYS Fabian in the boxing ring. While Miranda is pulled aside by Dr.Long, into his office. He’s not pleased that two children have died so soon, (Ethan & Celio) but is happy she can pack away Celio’s Unit-2 to fit the newly arriving Unit-5 from Berlin. The Fifth Child is due to arrive within a week, it seems.
