    That's because you just take the first/every command you get and don't wait to let the players discuss or come to a consensus in their actions. If you observe other quests you'll note that those that rely on first come first serve or gets for commands always fail. The good ones go with the general gist of the players' commands, including multiple variances when possible but remaining within the realm of reason and believably.

    Now that we're out from under the influence of the Book I'd like to think we can apologize to Patience and try to get her help again. With any luck her name is indicative of her personality and she'll be patient with us. Then, in addition to having her provide us with holy water we can have her research a way to prevent the Malformed from spawning. This way, we can be out killing them and defending the town from them while Patience works on getting rid of them for good.

    We should also apologize to and work on remedying our relationship with Sunset. I also think cleaning out the mansion for our use would be a good idea, I'm sure there's plenty of neat stuff in there and Trinity certainly doesn't need it anymore.

Tell them that the wiccans have been battling malformed for ages before they have, and they just want to set things right. Use "they" to keep patience's identity ambiguous.     It's honestly for the best the design isn't actually represented. Let the reader work out the details. Show, don't tell, and all that.

    Let's give them a quick example of what it's capable of. Head to the well, fill it up, and give Baconpone a good spritz. Make her sit down at what we figure is a good distance and hope our aim is as good without adrenaline in the system as it is when we're fighting for our lives.

    It was probably a fluke that we pulled off all those successful quickdraws, considering our list of skills does not include gunplay.

    This mission is experimental if anything. If things get too hot to handle, theres no shame in backing out.
    Establish a perimeter around the house, making sure to mop up the enemies outside.
    Have patience and sunny watch for areas where the poison is the thickest, judging by aura. Dousing these areas with holy water would probably make things a little easier in the long run. Sorta like killing zed before scavenging in rebuild.

    Have sunset spray the ground at its feet with the super soaker. This will negate its territorial advantage.
    Maintain your distance and pelt it with gunfire. Are there wine bottles nearby? Have sunset chuck them at the creatures joints and have patience ignite the flammable booze.
    Weaken it a great deal. Once its vulnerable, use the holy water bomb to finish it off.

    i wouldn't be so sure of our victory yet. we certainly have gotten rid of all the evil that resided in this manor, but i wouldn't be so sure that all lingering spirits are now gone.

    i have an idea.
    a lot of the future evils and stuff that anon has had to deal with have first been encountered in dreams.
    maybe he has some sort of nightmare, and the story goes on.

    I dont think just ridding the house of malformed completely solved the problem
    I imagine theyd still spawn in the forest
    And what about the malformed preists? That must indicate that the issues is more prevelant than we thought.
    Thatd be a good plot for the next thread. Huntung down the wicked preists and teaching the smith how to make primitive bullets using brass casings rather than having to pack the powder manually.
    Thatl set your settlement ahead by years and itl pave the way for more compact and efficient high capacity weapons.
    Rifling would also be imperative.
