  1. OFFENSE
  2.
  3. 1. Laser control offense
  4. 2. Approaches:
  5. -Cross up aerial (can be shine OOS if reacted to)
  6. -Movement mix up to grab or just grab (both can lose laser control and be punished by aerial)
  7. -If Falco goes to platform, punish him lasering with aerials. If he tries to come down and aerial, up tilt, bair, punish landing, etc.
  8. -If Falco jumps/double jumps to avoid lasers, it is either platform situation above or follow and up tilt. Up tilt has more priority than dair.
  9. -Run up spaced bair and then react (I don't like this option)
  10. -Laser approach needs to be different every laser or Falco can wave dash OOS while you are getting the gun out and shine.
  11. -Run up shield. (Turns offensive position into defensive. Only use against reckless Falcos..maybe)
  12. -Shine grab. Grab is not punishable if you shine the shield.
  13. -Wave shine pressure can be shined OOS. Pretty much don't do it.
  14. -Fading nair/dair on shield to bait grab (meh option against good players)
  15. -Wave dash onto platform, drop aerial (different, but can easily be reacted to. Meant only to surprise)
  16. 3. Offstage combos is better than extra 20-30 percent.
  17. 4. Falco's head is exposed when the shield wanes slightly. Falling nair can trick.
  18. 5. Forward throw --> Get them near edge or offstage
  19. Down throw --> If they are on platform, they tech and you can F-smash. They can just fall off the platform however, so be careful.
  20. Up throw --> Best mid stage throw. Can lead to shine/aerial. They can DI it weird, so you have to react well.
  21. Back throw --> Jank. Or to get offstage.
  22. 6. Laser jab to test what they do. Can be punished however, so it's just to test how they react to pressure.
  23. 7. Double laser from ledge can gain laser control. Can be very risky if they predict it.
  24. 8. Up tilt is better than shine to extend damage combos.
  25.
  26.
  27. DEFENSE
  28.
  29. 1. Stationary dair out prioritizes most aerial approaches.
  30. 2. Wave dash OOS to punish predictable laser patterns.
  31. 3. Retreating onto platforms can be okay, but if they follow you, use a stationary dair (risk if bad read) or use them following you to get down. Get down as safely as possible and try to regain laser control too from it by fitting in a laser when the time is right. Also dair through platform if he is too close.
  32. 4. Any badly spaced aerial on shield can just be punished with shine OOS.
  33. 5. If you read them coming in for a grab, short hop will dodge it and then you can dair into pillar combo.
  34. 6. Be careful on the shine OOS spacing. If they are too far in front or behind you, it won't hit. Grabs can punish instead.
  35. 7. If far, retreat on ledge to double laser isn't too bad, but it is a risky option if they predict it.
  36. 8. Power shield lasers to get back control. Reflector is okay, but it sometimes leaves you open and also doesn't give full laser control.
