Hello CC folks,

She's gone.

I can go on about how everything feels void now that she left, how everything feels so meh, or how .. Well, I will spare you the unfathomable sentiments.

I won't tell you my whole word has crumbled. I'm still functioning, but it's all fucking tasteless. I can put life on mute and I won't feel a difference. It's only been so little time since she left, but I've already become detached from my surroundings. I miss her presence.

Our goodbye was pretty rushed, due to the fucking beaurecracies in our beautiful land, I couldn't wait with her at the airport. So many things I wanted to say. I hugged her so tight, she hugged me even tighter. It almost felt as if our souls resembled a s'more (Yummy feelings?). I told her I love her, and how much I'll miss her. (Me being affectionate in public? Oh boy! Who would've thought?)

And then it hit us out of nowhere, the voice of God. Or so I thought, until my perception kicked back in gear. "يلا يا استاذة عشان شنطك ماتضيعش" - he said. It felt as much as squeezing Ace Ventura in Ben Kingsley's Schindler's List, so out of context.

I let go, ever so hesitantly. I left the terminal and waited outside in the car for what felt like forever. She never came out.
