Nevada Redux: S01 E05 - Family Matters

[8:06:29 PM] DBN: Septimius and Sabrina, the two of you were elected to do the grocery shopping. More accurately you lost the game Kara came up with to decide. No doubt Elizabeth was glad to be with her book instead of out in public.
[8:06:55 PM] Durk: "Let's get this over with." She sighs.
[8:07:37 PM] MR RAGE: "It's not so bad." The Greek boy smiles, grabbing a cart for them. "Don't you like food?"
[8:08:12 PM] Durk: "Of course I like food. I don't like shopping for food."
[8:09:01 PM] MR RAGE: "But you get to see all the delicious things they're making. I'm told that there used to be all kinds of fruits and vegetables, all over the world, before..." Sep fades off, biting his lip and looking down. "Uh--let's start with breakfast food."
[8:09:51 PM] Durk: "Mmn."  She looks at the list of things to get.
[8:11:02 PM] DBN: It isn't a long list, just some suggestions from Kara and Elizabeth...mostly Kara. You have enough money to fill the empty kitchen.
[8:15:37 PM] Durk: "Guess we get to improvise. What do you want?" She didn't eat much other than army supplies, so this was all a treat to her really.
[8:16:32 PM] MR RAGE: "Ah, I like wheat cereals. And waffles. Pancakes. Bacon. Sausage links. Uhm..."
[8:17:04 PM] Durk: "Sausage lover eh?"
[8:17:41 PM] MR RAGE: "Mhn! Big ones. What do you like?" Sabrina can almost hear the rush of air over his head.
[8:18:35 PM] Durk: "We mostly got eggs and oatmeal at camp." She shrugs. "Everyone loves bacon though."
[8:20:42 PM] MR RAGE: Sep acts with the implicit approval, grabbing enough cereal and bacon for a month, even with the appetites of teenagers, sausage links following suit, then a box of pancake mix... "What about lunch?" Gallons of milk and OJ join the cart, the whole thing looking like a Kelloggs warehouse at this point.
[8:23:59 PM] Durk: "Uh.. I dunno. Fruit and stuff?" She's clearly never done this before.
[8:25:10 PM] MR RAGE: "Sure!" Whether Sep's trying to be encouraging or legitimately that enthused about food remains to be seen. Running fingers through his dark hair, he guides the cart to a portion of the store that smells like a salad. Whatever remains of the plant kingdom after Second Impact laid out to be bought.
[8:27:08 PM] Durk: Sabrina goes about pickign a good and bountiful selection for them to eat. Probably more than they'll be able to before some of it starts to go bad.
[8:29:08 PM] Durk: "So, question for you."
[8:30:28 PM] MR RAGE: "Sure." Septimius turns to look directly at her, beaming, adjusting a bag of oranges so they're not fighting apples for space.
[8:30:58 PM | Edited 8:31:05 PM] Durk: "Did they program you to be so god-damned cheerful or do you have an off switch somewhere?"
[8:35:39 PM] MR RAGE: Gavril laughs, throwing his head upward, and shaking his head. "No, nothing like that. I'm sorry if it bothers you, but you really do make me happy. A lot of things do."
[8:36:16 PM] Durk: "Yeah, that's what is weird about it." She grumbles something else and continues on their way. "What about dinner?"
[8:36:37 PM] DBN: Seems some women shopping overheard Sep, laughing softly and talking about what a cute couple they are.
[8:38:16 PM] MR RAGE: "Mh... I'm not sure, actually. I usually eat steak or pasta for dinner, but I don't know what goes into making those." Sep glances over, offering a wave to the women, attention returning to Sabrina just as quickly. "Why's it weird?"
[8:39:09 PM] Durk: "Cause most people are misrable fucks." She casts a misrable glare at the women.
[8:40:30 PM] MR RAGE: Ah, the Greek finally frowns, but it's a sympathetic kind of look. "You really believe that?"
[8:41:22 PM] Durk: "You don't get out much do you?"
[8:41:45 PM] Durk: ...wait, steak? They must have a pretty damn nice cafeteria at the OPUS base.
[8:43:30 PM] MR RAGE: "I...suppose not. I've lived on the OPUS base my entire life." Sep bites his lip, looking down at a box of noodles.
[8:45:00 PM] Durk: She grabs a whole box of pasta sauce cans, hefting into the cart. "Yeah, people suck. They hate each other, love to show it too."
[8:49:29 PM] MR RAGE: "But I don't hate anyone!"
[8:50:27 PM] Durk: "One day you will, and you'll thank me for that." Anything else on the list?
[8:52:59 PM] DBN: List or not looks like you'll come in just barely under budget.
[8:53:28 PM] MR RAGE: "Huh? I don't want to hate anyone. Sabrina..."
[8:55:08 PM] Durk: Well, she'll have to probably settle for just confusing the boy for now.
[9:00:00 PM | Edited 9:01:36 PM] DBN: There are televisions above each check-out lane, all of them on the same news channel doing a story on the OPUS shuttle that would be returning from the Lunar Debris Field at any moment. The man behind the register looks less that pleased with his job, fat and bespectacled with a beard and a look of complete disinterest.
[9:02:36 PM] Durk: Sabrina goes about loading everything onto the conveyor.
[9:03:38 PM] DBN: "...do you have a member's discount card?" Siiigh.
[9:03:51 PM] MR RAGE: Sep helps where he can, but this is Sabrina's specialty. "Uh..." The Greek pats his pockets. We've shopped here before, right?
[9:04:29 PM] DBN: Natasha has drug him along but they never got him a card.
[9:04:39 PM] DBN: Siiigh. "Do you want to sign up for one?"
[9:05:08 PM] MR RAGE: "Ah, no thank you, we'll just pay full." The boy smiles. It's like staring into the sun.
[9:05:38 PM] DBN: The way he's squinting it must burn. He starts scanning their groceries.
[9:06:27 PM | Edited 9:06:35 PM] Durk: She then loads everything back into the cart like a drone.
[9:08:42 PM | Edited 9:09:04 PM] Durk: "Isn't Natasha on that?" She whispers as she points at the screen.
[9:09:36 PM] MR RAGE: "!" Septimius swivels around, staring at the TV attentively.
[9:14:56 PM] Durk: "Maybe we should be getting back..." She tugs on him to lead him out of the store.
[9:19:25 PM] MR RAGE: "N-no, this is important." Sep wanders closer to the TV, transfixed.
[9:21:32 PM] DBN: Looks like even the newscaster is getting bored of waiting, still no sign of the shuttle.
[9:22:05 PM] MR RAGE: The boy grips his shirt, the color draining from his lips as his mouth dries.
[9:24:16 PM] Durk: Sabrina groans.
[9:24:39 PM] DBN: And so the nightly news segways into another story, the shuttle landing forgotten.
[9:25:39 PM] MR RAGE: "--! Wait, what about--" His eyes dart to Sabrina, searching for an explanation, back to the television, slender body shaking.
[9:25:54 PM] Durk: "Come on. Let's go home."
[9:28:12 PM] Durk: She gives him a more forceful tug this time.
[9:29:45 PM] MR RAGE: "Mn-" If he's aware of his surroundings, he's doing a good job of pretending otherwise. A hand reaches for Sabrina's, the other occupied by the cart. There's a hitch in his breathing, but aside from wet eyes, he's holding himself together.
[9:31:55 PM] Durk: She drags him out of the store and all the way back home if she has to.
[9:35:55 PM] Durk: Which appears to be all the way, poor catatonic Sep. She lets go of him for a moment to open the door to the apartment.
[9:36:11 PM] MR RAGE: At least he's still good for carrying groceries.
[9:37:14 PM] DBN: The last door closes and soon the school is in the rear view mirror, Kara. With the pilots occupied for the day you can take a few pills and-- there's a new message on her phone.
[9:39:33 PM] Kara: Kara waits at least until she pulls around hte corner to stop the car. Her fingers, trembling ever so slightly, quickly open the bottle of pills to pluck two of them from the orange bottle. She swallows them dry, closing her eyes. But as her phone vibrates, she jumps a little, coughing and taking a sip of water, eyes red as she unlocks and opens her phone.
[9:40:06 PM] Kara: "Never a dull moment," she says sadly, opening the message to read/listen.
[9:40:47 PM] DBN: [Gino's Diner, 10 minutes. -The Boss]
[9:42:44 PM | Edited 9:43:00 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, and slumps in her seat for a moment. Then, it's sitting up straight, bottle of pills closed and slipped into her jacket pocket, and pedal to the metal as she starts driving. She plans to arrive a minute or so early, accounting for traffic and the pain in the ass that is parking in a city.
[9:43:44 PM] DBN: She's in the door right on time, faced with a nearly empty diner. The sign advises customers to seat themselves.
[9:45:10 PM] Kara: Kara has her purse slung over her arm as she walks in, taking a look around. She picks a spot with a view of the door and the windows, sitting down and opening one of the menus. She checks her watch absent-mindedly, pondering ordering a drink, before deciding it's far too early (and she just took her pills.)
[9:47:09 PM | Edited 9:49:05 PM] DBN: A waitress comes her way with a tray in hand. "Sorry for the wait, ma'am." She sets down a cup of coffee, a newspaper and a small plate with a little black device on it. "I'll bring you your check in a bit."
[9:48:56 PM] Kara: Kara nods, smiling distantly, "My thanks." She takes the coffee and promply turns it milky beige with cream and sugar, taking a sip every so often. She plucks up the little thing and opens the newspaper, pretending to read as she examines the device.
[9:49:51 PM] DBN: There's a folder inside the paper with a yellow sticky note attached. 'Open Me'
[9:50:56 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, peeking over the top of the newspaper. She shifts to be less easily seen than before, and slips the little black thing into her breast pocket, before opening the folder carefully.
[9:53:16 PM] DBN: The very first page is a list from the heads of the IPEA. Seems they have a lot they want Kara to look into. The very first item relates to...Septimius? Seems they want information on the boy. There's an included file if she wants to look.
[9:53:50 PM] Kara: Kara peeks into the file , gently chewing on her lip.
[9:55:07 PM] DBN: It's a single page, most of it blocked out with a black marker. According to hand-written notes its the only file OPUS would share. The only hint is a number near the bottom, tracing back to the file of one Karinka Ankudinova.
[9:57:10 PM | Edited 9:57:19 PM] Kara: Kara gives the black-lining a very irritated look, like the face any normal person would have after stepping on a spider, cockroach, or other vermin. However, she perks up a little at the Vice-Commander's name, making a mental note. She closes the file, and continues looking over the list.
[9:58:09 PM] DBN: Next is an order. Keep Elizabeth from discovering her brother's fate. No hints as to what that is though. Why would the IPEA care?
[9:59:50 PM] Kara: Kara frowns, rubbing her forehead a little and taking a sip of her coffee. Couldn't be that hard though: maybe forge some documents that he was taken to another foster home, make a few fake letters from him to reassure her, that sort of thing.
[10:00:10 PM] Kara: She looks at the next item, taking a longer sip.
[10:02:03 PM] DBN: Looks like the IPEA wants to know where the parts for Sabrina's Evangelion came from.
[10:02:54 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, murmuring to herself, "That's not something we wouldn't know..." Another sip, and she peeks over her newspaper before checking her watch and moving on to the next item.
[10:06:19 PM] DBN: Lastly, she is to use the provided device to sabotage Natasha's current mission in the Lunar Debris Field. That'll involve not just entering OPUS HQ but going right into Central Dogma, her own command center.
[10:08:32 PM | Edited 10:08:44 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, rereading the final line. She takes a deep breath, closing the file and the newspaper before finishing her coffee. She stands, taking the newspaper (and within it, the file) with her but leaving the cup, going to the front to pay.
[10:09:28 PM] DBN: "The gentleman already paid your bill." The waitress points, but the door is already closing. Stealthy fucker.
[10:11:06 PM] Kara: Kara blinks and nods, smiling, "What a sweetheart." She drops a dollar into the tip jar and heads out to her car. As soon as she's out, her hand is in her purse, going to grab the pack of cigarettes. Getting into the car, she's lighting up, opening the window and starting the engine.
[10:11:36 PM] Kara: A long drag, and then she drives to the base, fingers drumming out the beat of the song on the radio.
[10:14:09 PM | Edited 10:16:50 PM] DBN: She has no trouble getting into the base of course, what good is it the hassle the Operations Director? She gets some salutes and a paper to sign for weapons R&D but is otherwise left alone. If only they knew about the wolf in their midst. The bridge bunnies of Central Dogma greet her before returning to work, neither the Commander or her lapdog overseeing operations today. There was always an active scan for Invaders but the skies looked clear.
[10:19:16 PM | Edited 10:26:49 PM] Kara: Kara smiles, the newspaper and list of orders torn to shreds, mixed, and doubly-torn before being flushed down a toilet. Paranoia paid off, sometimes. Probably not this time, but her nerves were enough of an enemy today. Kara pauses to oversee the operations, mind tumbling and twisting with itself on the safest, most secure way to clear out the room.
[10:27:53 PM] Kara: Kara bites her cheek and approaches the working hands, making her rounds, "Everything alright?" She asks each one, smiling and listening, pausing if she comes across one that is particularly alone or distanced.
[10:29:19 PM] DBN: That would be the girl in glasses off to the side. Judging by the large headphones she wore she was in charge of OPUS communications in the area, helping squad patrols move efficiently through the city and lisening for what could be enemy chatter.
[10:30:27 PM] Kara: Kara sits beside her, closing her eyes to listen in on any chatter that's loud enough. After a moment, she clears her throat, "Any word?"
[10:30:54 PM] DBN: Nothing from the girl. Must be the headphones.
[10:31:47 PM] Kara: Kara taps on the top of her headphones, grinning to herself.
[10:32:25 PM] DBN: Finally she looks up, then over at Kara. Slowly she removed the headphones. "Yes, Director?"
[10:33:41 PM] Kara: Kara smiles warmly, "Any news?" She nods to the headphones.
[10:35:01 PM] DBN: "No ma'am. Just...Captain Pokryshkin singing a lot."
[10:35:22 PM] Kara: Kara covers her mouth as she smiles a little more, "Can I listen?"
[10:36:59 PM] DBN: She holds out the headphones. "The signal is on a delay because it bounces around the Lunar Debris Field. When it comes time to transmit we'll use laser-guided communications."
[10:37:45 PM] Kara: Kara nods, "I see..." She takes the headphones and blinks, listening. After a moment, she smiles again, "Do you drink coffee?"
[10:38:28 PM] DBN: "No ma'am." She instead motions to the growing collection of empty energy drink cans.
[10:39:19 PM] Kara: Kara covers her mouth again, "What's your name?"
[10:41:39 PM] DBN: "Kelsey...Camren."
[10:42:45 PM] Kara: Kara smiles, "Can I talk to Natasha through this, Ms.Camren?"
[10:44:26 PM] DBN: "Er, no ma'am. We're only listening right now. No open communications right now, Commander's orders."
[10:45:20 PM] Kara: Kara sighs a little and nods, smiling, "She's such a sweet girl..." She blushes a little, "Could I ask you to get me a coffee? I'll pay you back in energy drinks. I'd go myself, but I miss her voice."
[10:46:13 PM] DBN: "...yes ma'am." A strange request but it got her out of that chair for a few minutes. Off she goes to get her boss a cup of coffee.
[10:50:24 PM] Kara: Kara smiles and sits, listening to Natasha. She watches for a place to hide the scrambler, before unhinging her watch subtly and dropping it under the desk. She takes the chance to get under and hide the little device, before picking up her watch and fixing her hair, looking suitably embarassed.
[10:53:22 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth closes her book and sits up upon hearing the door slam shut. Did someone leave? Or arrive? It was awfully quiet earlier. She puts the book on the bed and leaves her room.
[10:56:09 PM] Durk: "Come on already!" She was getting pretty impatient with Sep, shoving him into the apartment, dragging the rest of the bags he couldn't carry in as well.
[10:57:05 PM] Elizabeth: "..what's with him?" She watches for a moment before trying to grab a few bags from Sep, looking at the contents.
[10:57:43 PM] MR RAGE: "Nn--" The boy stumbles, but doesn't fall, setting his load of groceries in on the nearest table. Elizabeth, even in his current state, gets a flicker of a smile and a wave.
[10:58:39 PM] MR RAGE: "S-something happened...happened with Natasha's shuttle, so..." Rubbing at his chest, the boy sits down, eyes refusing to focus on anything, staring into space.
[10:58:57 PM] Kara: Kara looks up, blinking, "Ah! Sep!" And she stands up quickly, a lot less mopey than she was when she picked them up.
[10:59:09 PM] Durk: "Can someone turn on the TV for zombie boy?"
[10:59:15 PM] Elizabeth: "What happened to her shuttle..?"
[10:59:23 PM] Kara: "Oh..." She pauses, and goes to start unpacking the groceries, "I'm sure she's okay, Sep. She's a very talented woman."
[11:00:40 PM] Kara: However, she goes to turn on the TV anyways, biting her lip and watching Sep. She even hesitantly approaches him, as if aiming for a hug.
[11:01:48 PM] Durk: "..." How is she the one assuming responsability here? dammit it. She goes to put the groceries away while they care for the boy.
[11:02:48 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth watches the TV from the table, taking things out of bags.
[11:04:13 PM] MR RAGE: "Mn..." Even with a nice little ball of stress building in his chest, the boy's face pushes buttons. "Y-yeah. She'll be fine! Natasha's the smartest woman I know." The Greek's lips tug into a smile, and he leans into the Director, unabashedly trying to draw strength from her with an embrace.
[11:05:07 PM] Kara: Kara smiles and hugs him tightly, patting his head, "That's the spirit. Now, you can watch, I'll put away the groceries with the rest."
[11:05:54 PM] DBN: Breaking News! flashes across the screen. "We now go live to reporter Simon Slater with an update on the missing OPUS shuttle."
[11:06:49 PM] MR RAGE: The boy's quick, standing in front of the TV as soon as he's free of Kara's embrace, eyes fixed.
[11:07:19 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, and goes to unpack, keeping her ears perked to listen in.
[11:10:02 PM] DBN: "According to a statement from OPUS officials the shuttle, piloted by one Captain Pokryshkin, suffered a minor systems failure just before they were to start reentry proceedures. They report that the pilot is fine and the shuttle will be landing in the early morning hours. Captain Natasha Pokryshkin is the youngest kosmonaut to come out of Russia or any UN country since Skyfall and is sibling to decorated war hero..." the reporter continues on.
[11:12:05 PM] Kara: Kara realizes she's holding her breath, letting out a thankful sigh as the reporter drones on.
[11:12:13 PM] Durk: "All that worrying over nothing." She trudges over and gives Sep a punch in the arm. "Don't freeze up and be a baby like that! What if you did that in battle huh? How many people would die?" She tops it off with a smack to the back of his head.
[11:13:24 PM] MR RAGE: Sep's legs wobble, and he falls to his knees with a sharp exhalation, relief washing over his body. Safe. She's safe. Even after Sabrina's punches, he's smiling, wiping at his eyes. "You're right, Sabrina. I'm sorry, I'll be tougher next time." A big grin for the girl, not even bothering to stand up.
[11:13:54 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth watches with slight amusement, though she's still thinking. "...does this mean their experiment failed? At least she's safe." She's not very loud, mostly thinking to herself.
[11:14:46 PM] Kara: Kara watches, "Sabrina, that's not going to-" She stops, surprised, and lets out a non-committal sigh. "It must. Thank god she is though. I can't imagine being here without her sunny cheer." And she goes back to unpacking.
[11:15:14 PM] Elizabeth: "I thought that's what Sep was for," she mutters, helping with the process.
[11:16:09 PM] Durk: "Ugh." Sabrina stomps off leaving them all for the seclusion of her room.
[11:17:48 PM] Kara: Kara sighs a little and shrugs, "So, dinner tonight is going to be penne with sauce and greens. Does anybody want to help?"
[11:18:01 PM] MR RAGE: "I annoyed her again..." Septimius rubs at his neck, gathering himself up once strength returns to his legs, rubbing at his face one last time. "Sure!"
[11:18:51 PM] Kara: Kara smile is a little strained, "I'm sure we all do," she mutters into the refridgerator, pulling out the sauce, "Sorry, no fresh sauce, but this'll do. Does anybody mind meat in it?"
[11:19:50 PM] Elizabeth: "No." She seems to consider going back to her room, but ultimately decides to stay in the room in case there's more news.
[11:20:45 PM] Kara: Kara smiles and nods, "I'm sure Sabrina wouldn't mind either. I wonder what her favorites are." She shrugs and pulls out the pasta, humming to herself as she works with Sep, her mood cheering considerably.
[11:21:45 PM] MR RAGE: "She mentioned liking bacon, so this should be okay."
[11:22:40 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth sighs, seeing as the news has nothing much to add, though she does watch as they flash the various pictures. "How long till food is ready?"
[11:23:44 PM | Edited 11:23:49 PM] Kara: Kara hums,"Bacon. Bacon Bacon Bacon. How long until you finish your book?" She smiles.
[11:25:20 PM] Elizabeth: "It's done, more or less. It's not -that- long." Though she brings up a good point. "Might as well finish it now. But I don't really have many others to choose from...And this one was new..."
[11:25:50 PM] Kara: Kara smiles, "What type of books to do you like? It's an open question for you too, Sep."
[11:26:44 PM] Durk: There's a heavy thump from down the hall followed by a string of swearing.
[11:26:56 PM] MR RAGE: "Books? Um... I guess I'm not sure. Mostly I'd--" Sep glances towards Sabrina's room.
[11:27:39 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, "Uh... Rock-Paper-Scissors for who goes to check on her?"
[11:27:47 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth jumps a little, and then stands, taking small steps towards Sabrina's room. "If it's spiders, you two go first."
[11:28:08 PM] MR RAGE: "I'll go," Sep smiles, forging ahead as the vanguard. "Sabrina? Are you alright?"
[11:29:02 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth looks from around the corner.
[11:29:24 PM] Durk: There's a scattering of weights on the ground and Sabrina looking a bit violent and wild holding a bar devoid of weights.
[11:29:26 PM | Edited 11:29:41 PM] Kara: Kara follows behind Sep, aware that this is what she's paid to do. "Uh... Sabrina?"
[11:30:14 PM] MR RAGE: "U-um..." The boy keeps on the edge of the room, but doesn't hide, trying to work out the scene.
[11:31:27 PM] Durk: She looks at him. "What?!"
[11:31:58 PM] MR RAGE: "--! Are you alright? Is there anything I can help with?"
[11:33:28 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, shaking her head, "Are you hurt?"
[11:34:09 PM] Durk: "I'm fine." She wields the six foot steel bar. "Just, dropped everything on the floor."
[11:34:19 PM] Durk: She takes a deep breath.
[11:34:54 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth moves a bit closer, looking at the mess. "How'd you manage that?"
[11:34:59 PM] MR RAGE: "Mn." The boy nods slowly, bending over to pick up some of the weights.
[11:35:49 PM] Durk: "It's fine." She jabs the pole at him with one hand. "I'll pick it up."
[11:36:59 PM] MR RAGE: "Oof--" Sep's not too hard to knock over, but he stands up quickly. "If you're sure..."
[11:37:40 PM] Kara: Kara blinks, and quickly steps back, "Let's go back to making dinner, and leave her to her exercises..."
[11:39:49 PM] Durk: She sets the pole down and starts picking up the weights, stacking them in the corner of her room.
[11:41:52 PM] MR RAGE: The boy offers one last smile before making his exit.
[11:42:19 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth hovers for a moment or so.
[11:42:50 PM] Kara: Kara returns to the kitchen, humming to herself. The rest of her mission could wait a few hours.

[8/31/2013 10:43:12 PM] Kara: Sunrise over the base. The cool air of pre-rising has started to settle, and the city is starting to wake up. Kara sips on the cup of instant coffee and frowns, looking at her watch, "Sabrina should be waking up soon, and Sep. Maybe not Elizabeth though." And she downs her coffee, and several pills, before going to the doors and knocking three times in rapid succession. "Morning! Morning morning morning!"
[8/31/2013 10:43:47 PM] Elizabeth: Elizabeth takes her sweet time getting out of bed.
[8/31/2013 10:43:59 PM] MR RAGE: "Erm..." Sep sticks his fork in a plate of waffles, munching away.
[8/31/2013 10:45:38 PM] Kara: Kara smiles, watching, "Waffles. Breakfast of champions, hm?"
[8/31/2013 10:46:20 PM] MR RAGE: "Mhn!" Omchomchom.

[12:01:52 AM] DBN: There's a bit of laughter from the photobotth next to her and someone slips out the opposite side. In the small tray Elizabeth can see a set of pictures drop down.

[12:03:24 AM] Kara: Kara walks in, asking the arcade owner for where Elizabeth and Sep are. She's certainly in military mode.

[12:04:52 AM] Elizabeth: Upon seeing them, she stands up suddenly and goes to the booth, looking in.

[12:05:46 AM] Elizabeth: "W-wh-" she's pretty sure her heart has stopped. She looks all around the booth, clutching the pictures.

[12:06:11 AM] MR RAGE: "Elizabeth, what happened?" The boy's up, looking into the booth.
[12:06:29 AM] Elizabeth: "No..nononono.." She's sweeping the arcade, listening just as much as looking.

[12:07:06 AM] DBN: The main lights in the arcade flicker to life, the main doors of the enterance and exit locking shut. A few S2 agents in suits are milling about too now.
[12:07:46 AM] Elizabeth: "No!" She moves to the doors, windows, anything.
[12:07:54 AM] Kara: Kara has her hands behind her back, "Elizabeth. Enough."
[12:08:28 AM] Elizabeth: "No! He was here and I WAS PROMISED YOU'D HELP ME." Her voice rises and she crumples the pictures in her hand out of anger.
[12:08:57 AM] MR RAGE: Sep comes up from behind, squeezing Elizabeth's shoulders. "Liz, please--"
[12:09:04 AM] Kara: Kara clears her throat, "Elizabeth, are you going to come quietly?"
[12:10:36 AM] Elizabeth: She's practically shaking now. "Where is he?" She looks at Kara accusingly, and at the agents that walked in. She tries to shake out of Sep's grasp, too.

[12:12:45 AM] Elizabeth: "Show?" She clenches her fists tightly and walks towards Kara.
[12:13:32 AM] Durk: Sabrina steps up, towering over Elizabeth. "Sorry, ried to help." She says, though it doesn't sound too sincere. Next moment she's got Lizzie in a sleeper hold.
[12:14:59 AM] Elizabeth: She drops the picture, trying desperately to get out of the hold...without much success. Her struggling becomes weaker at an increasingly fast rate.
[12:15:18 AM] Kara: Kara steps forward, picking up the picture curiously.
[12:15:25 AM] MR RAGE: "Ah--!"
[12:15:26 AM] Kara: "Sorry, Elizabeth." She sighs, and stands up.
[12:15:38 AM] Durk: "That's a good girl." Once she knows the girl is a sleeps she picks her up with ease.

[12:16:51 AM] Kara: Kara sighs, rubbing her forehead. "Septimius, Sabrina. Thank you for your cooperation. I'm sorry this had to happen." A shaky sigh, "I didn't want this to happen... I don't think I'm going to have you go to school today."

[12:22:15 AM] DBN: The agents acknowledge and leave with the unconscious pilot once the arcade reopens.
[12:23:14 AM] Kara: Kara pats the passed out pilot on the head, "Don't hate me for this." She shrugs and walks out, "So... Ice cream?"
