  1. To the League community...
  2. I just want to start by saying that I've been a member of PS for 5-6 years. I came found this place one day when I was 13 bored in the summer before HS and it led me to meet some amazing people. I always left for a long time and came back because remaining on this site isn't healthy. I'm 17 now and there's nothing more I can wish for than to get that time back. A lot of us waste our time wondering "how are we going to be better players?", "how is our league going to improve?", "what league should I join now?", or "why is this league dying?". This whole league system is irrelevant. It was something that once made all of us happy in the past, but now the community is terrible and I don't see it getting any better. I came back thinking that I wanted a league but, that wasn't the case. I came back looking for memories that were not here. I guess some of you are lucky that you have people here that stayed with you for a long time, but for those who are back here looking for something that's long gone, I say it's best you just leave the whole league thing. It is true that hours spent here are hours you can be using to build up yourself in reality and not on an irrelevant Pokemon simulator that means nothing. Happiness has many different forms. The people here don't necessarily meet that nostalgic expectation, but it's okay because there are better things that we as a community can be doing. Not just on Azure or on PS, but as people that have actual lives. As a dancer, I know if I spent my time dancing instead of coming here, I'd be very much ahead in my dance career and working towards my goal which is to one day own a dance school of my own. There are more important things in life than having a reputation on a site that won't get you anywhere. Most of the people here use their authority in other rooms to act superior to others, but the end line is that we all have lives outside this childish game. Leave this simulator for the next generation to build up. If you do come on here, ask yourself what makes you happy. Is it really leagues? Or is it the people or laddering or playing monotype (given leagues are dominant in the monotype community)? We all need to start focusing on our real selves and not act on the impressions we give people when they talk to us online. It isn't healthy to stay in front of a computer all the time and play this whole league system. You have a personality outside of the one on PS so make the most out of it and don't waste anymore time. I wish you all luck in the future in whatever you decide.
