Also, a brown-red orb appears and floats a few feet above the ground.

The orb accepts your offering. The cawbeast disappears, and the orb changes to take on its shape.

I then take the dowel and the punched card to the carving machine and try carving it.

The blade on the Lathe moves along the cylinder, carving it into a stranger, wavy shape.

A laser appears and quickly scans the cylinder. What appear to be two halves of a broken boat appear in the center of the platform.

Huh, thats odd. I try pushing one piece to the other.

As the two pieces touch eachother, they fuse together into an intact boat.
There is a brilliant flash of light.
