- Regarding splits: Timing starts as soon as you select a file and stops once you fire the final egg into the Jinjonator. It is recommended to create an additional split for each world, as well as Spiral Mountain, Furnace Fun, and Door of Grunty skip. Feel free to create any additional splits if you need to, such as the leaf jump before CCW, individual note doors and puzzle spaces, and each phase for Gruntilda.

- Spiral Mountain
- -Go right and up the hill, climb mountain, skip bottles and enter GL
- Gruntilda's Lair
- -Grab freebie jiggy, open MM, enter MM
- Mumbo's Mountain
- -Grab purple jinjo, grab 3 notes left of jinjo, jump three times to the 3 notes at the left, jump three times to the 3 notes at the right
- -Learn beak bust, stomp 4 huts (only grab left most note in first hut) and grab green jinjo, enter termite hill
- -Grab mumbo token, climb termite hill, grab 5 notes and jiggy atop termite hill
- -Learn talon trot, grab 14 notes and orange jinjo, then jiggy
- -Scale down hill, grab 6 notes at top of hill, 3 notes at the middle back of the hill, yellow jiggy, and the 3 notes after the jinjo, grab 9 notes on the stairs to right, grab the 9 notes at the bottom of the hill

- Gruntilda's Lair
- -Grab jiggy at top of hill
- -Enter 50 note door, open TCC, enter TCC
- Treasure Trove Cove
- -Grab first 4 notes, blue jinjo, head to right tree with 4 notes, jump up to leaky and do leaky skip, jump to top of sandcastle for 5 notes
- -Enter sandcastle, complete sandcastle puzzle and grab 4 notes, high jump to jiggy without getting hit, exit sandcastle
- -Go to the right, jump up the crates, collect 12 notes on the branching paths, jump to the tree with 4 notes, jump to Salty Hippo side entrance for gold
- -Go up ship and grab 4 notes, talk to bottles for flight (5 health), enter floor of ship for gold #2, give gold to Blubber for jiggy
- -Go up to flight pad grabbing 4 notes on opposite side of ship, enter flight, turn to chest and grab jiggy in air, DO NOT LAND
- -While still in flight, fly up to the lighthouse and grab jiggy while in air, land
- -Circle around for the 5 notes, stomp the witch switch

- -Climb up ladder, head left and grab 8 notes and mumbo token, grab yellow jinjo and jump into water towards clanker and grab 6 notes
- -Dive down and grab the green jinjo, grab 2 notes then air bubble, grab two more notes, turn around and turn key 3 times
- -Grab 4 notes then air bubble, swim up and enter green pipe for blue jinjo
- -Swim up towards clanker's tooth, shoot tooth with eggs and enter clanker for jiggy
- -Grab 8 notes, swim towards the rings and complete the rings, leave through lower exit on right and grab the 5 notes
- -Walk onto clanker's bolt, grab notes and jiggy
- -Fall down to clanker and grab 6 notes before the jiggy, then grab 4 notes and the jiggy behind clanker's tail
- -Fall down to pipe below, grab 10 notes and mumbo token, quick dive to snippets

- Editor's note: Beginners of this route may need to use gold feathers generously or double back for health often. If the Jinjo jiggy (specifically the pink one) is causing you difficulty, consider replacing the BGS Jinjo jiggy with MMM Pots jiggy. The route is not affected by this change.
- Gruntilda's Lair
- -Head to grunty statue, spring shock/flutter into hat for jiggy
- -Enter 250 note door, activate rotating shock spring pad, shock spring onto sphinx, roll for jiggy
- -Head up stairs, enter FP
- Freezeezy Peak
- -Grab 4 notes on second downhill only, grab 12 notes and red present inside tree, grab another 5 notes outside tree
- -Learn beak bomb, beak bomb to 4 notes near wozza, grab 4 notes, feathers, and mumbo token going back to flight pad
- -Enter flight and hit the statue's buttons, fly up to the snowman's pipe and beak bomb into the smoke pipe wall to grab the jiggy (4 health)
- -Fly up to the snowman's top hat and travel clockwise to get 8 notes, stomp recoil down the hat to the snowman's nose and grab the blue present
- -Go to the flight pad and beak bomb twice to mumbo's hut (hold down, not up during flight), enter mumbo's for 6 notes
- -Grab boots and cross the freezing pond, grab 3 notes on the house and 8 notes in the freezing pond (1 health)
- -Grab 3 notes on the second house, travel to Boggy's race area for 4 notes

- -Learn turbo trot (5 health), grab 9 notes in sand (2 health, 3 health for skilled runners), grab grabba's jiggy
- -Walk to central area near moat, grab 4 notes before left to the staircase, grab bottom 2 notes on rails

- -Activate water switch 2, go to RBB puzzle, enter RBB (4 health)
- Rusty Bucket Bay
- -Go over the bridge with 5 notes to the ship, go left and jump into the pipe, grab 4 notes at far end of room and exit, grab 4 notes on bridge to left, then go right towards the smoke stack and enter the engine room, grab 8 notes, stomp fan switch #1, jump through the spinning fan (3 health), grab 4 notes and jiggy
- -Pass the second spinning fan and stomp fan swith #2 (2 health), grab the free life at the window and clip through the window, grab 4 notes and exit the room, grab 6 notes at edge of ship, jump to the grated floor area and grab 4 notes, swim to the propellers for the jiggy
- -Swim to the right of the crane, jump up the ramp using jump/flutter/jump/flutter/roll/jump (JFJFRJ) (final jump can be replaced with high jump), shock spring to the 3 notes on the crane, hit the down switch, climb up the crane, jump to the grunty switch, fall into the destroyed floor, shoot 3 eggs and immediately enter talon trot, run to the jiggy, cancel talon trot and enter invincibility, jump to the jiggy to kill the boom box (extremely risky strategy: instead of using gold feathers, do a jiggy-jig skip and go down to 1 health)
- -Head right to the window near the life preserver, break the window, enter window and grab 4 notes, exit room and jump off the ship towards the blue crates, enter the left crate for 4 notes and right crates for 8 notes, go left and JFJFRJ up to crane area, go to green acid for 3 notes, shock spring up crane for 3 notes, hit up arrow, climb up ladder and fall to the jiggy under the cage
- -Go left into the pipe and grab 5 notes, exit the area and move left and break/enter the window, grab 3 notes and jiggy (3 health)
- -Go right, jump on the support bar holding the spare boat and up to the smoke stack, climb the ladder and scale the smoke stacks, grab 8 notes and jiggy
- -Fall down to the right of the ladder towards the window, break/enter the window, grab 4 notes, get hit once (2 health) and exit area, jump on the bar holding the spare boat and jump to the single note, grab 1 note and stomp [3-1-2-1-1-1], grab 1 note opposite of the [1] switch and a jiggy
- -Head to the left side of the bow of the boat and jump/rat-a-tat rap to the notes, grab 5 notes and enter the shack via window, grab jiggy in back left corner of the shack
- -Grab the 4 notes in the left front corner, then death warp via green slime (0 health)

- Gruntilda's Lair
- -Grab jiggy before 640 note door
- -Leaf jump, activate CCW pad, activate cauldron and teleport, go down to stomp gruntilda's eyes for a jiggy (from Clanker's Cavern witch switch)
- -Go to CCW puzzle, teleport back to CCW area, enter CCW (5 health)
- Click Clock Wood
- -Stomp Spring platform, grab left two notes before entering Spring
- -Jump up the leaves and go counter-clockwise, grab 3 notes at right, continue to 3 notes before flower patch, jump down and collect 4 notes at flower patch, go forward and high jump to the 3 notes, grab 3 notes near mini-ramp up to tree, head up the tree to where the Summer switch is, stomp recoil south of the Summer switch and exit Spring
- -Grab notes right of Spring entrance, enter Summer
- -Grab the two notes on the leaves, go left and up the tree to the beehive and grab 3 notes, flutter under the platform and toward the tree and stomp onto Fall switch (2 health), immediately move left to avoid getting hit, help Gnawty [if you have more than 4 gold feathers, use a gold feather on the rock], grab 2 notes inside Gnawty's place, exit Summer
- -Enter Fall
- -Head up the left leaf hill and grab the 1 note after the mini-ramp, travel right and collect 9 notes, drop down and grab the 3 notes in the venus fly trap, jump over the river and grab the 5 notes behind the flower patch, travel up the leaf hill on the right and collect another 5 notes, grab the 3 notes inside the second venus fly trap, death warp inside the venus fly trap (0 health, takes off 2 per hit)
- total: 0/53
- Side note: There are 4 extra notes in Mumbo's hut if you need backup notes.
- Side note: Almost every enemy in this level deals 2 damage per hit. Be careful!
- Gruntilda's Lair
- -Enter 765 note door, go to Furnace Fun
- -Activate cauldron at beginning
- -GOOD FUCKING LUCK
- -After fake credits, activate cauldron, open 810 note door
- -If you are at 0 lives, grab the free life at the window. If you attempt the DoG skip with zero lives and unsuccessfully clip through the door, YOU WILL GAME OVER
- -Door of Grunty skip (If OoB occurs, go straight into talon trot; go near puzzle platform to activate grunty text and slowdown if needed)
- -Once through the door, use rat-a-tat rap on doors for item refill (must be done very low to ground), then enter cauldron to fight Gruntilda
- Side note: There are two paths to take in Furnace Fun (http://imgur.com/nRXMKGz).
- Going left is faster, but relies on getting decent RNG for the Witch squares. Getting too many wrong will force you to double back for health and will cost a significant amount of time. In addition, going for the extra joker has added risk due to the extra Skull square. This route is more recommended for 100% runners due to the high maximum health count.
- Going right is slightly slower, but there are less Witch squares overall. For those with terrible luck, grabbing the extra jokers can potentially bring the Witch square count to as low as 1! This will reduce your chances of losing a lot of time from bad RNG. This path has an extra life that will help satisfy the life requirement for the Door of Grunty Skip (must be at >0 lives). However, there are a high number of Skull squares, which can completely end your run if you get a Gruntilda question and answer it incorrectly. This route is recommended for any% runners due to the extra life and low maximum health count.
- Fighting Gruntilda
- -Phase 1: slowly jump backward until Banjo's back is against the wall, use stomp invincibility to dodge Grunty's dive attack, continuously poop eggs until Grunty runs into the eggs (the eggs should glide on top of the raised step), cancel two text boxes and use stomp invincibility on homing fireball
- -Phase 2: jump up to the raised step where you pooped eggs and shoot 3+ eggs at grunty (wait for 3 different screams to confirm hits), then run clockwise to the next center raised step and preemptively shoot eggs until she gets hit 3 times, repeat previous step two more times, run toward center, cancel two text boxes, use stomp invincibility on homing fireball
- -Phase 3: enter flight and beak bomb immediately or fly away and re-position for a beak bomb (watch for air stalling), immediately turn 180º after hitting her and beak bomb slightly to her right (only shoots one fireball), turn 180º and beak bomb to her quickly (shoots 2 fireballs), turn 180º and beak bomb to her one more time (shoots 3 fireballs), land and grab health if needed
- -Phase 4: speed up Grunty text (unskippable) during force field scene, dodge 2 fireballs, prep aim at first jinjo statue before it comes up (to the right of the grate), shoot 3 eggs into jinjo statue, travel in a zig-zag pattern to the next jinjo statue to avoid being hit and shoot eggs into it, repeat previous step 2 more times, after final jinjo has been freed move toward center and jump (jinjo will hit grunty early)
- -Phase 5: run in circles or grab health if necessary, cancel jinjonator text, fire 3 eggs into one side then move to another side and fire 3 eggs (will help dodge fireballs), go back to first side and shoot 2 more eggs, then go back to second side and shoot 2 more eggs, repeat previous step if Grunty does not shoot a homing missile, otherwise shoot 5 eggs at once into both remaining sides
