Maybe you could get the Chapter 1 Maple or something, but then you would have to change up the item route to keep it, so it'd probably work out to be slower. Maybe you could kill the 2 Dark Koopas without using FP? Or maybe you could have some FP by not using a Shell Shot on Blooper. Then Power Quake / Thunder Rage? I guess that sounds like maybe it could be faster... But I'm done working on this route.

  171. Come out on the Whale screen and head back along the beach

  188. - Level Up: BP -- Eat 2 Honey Syrups if 2+ Fright Jars failed.

  193. - If you accidentally pick up a POW Block, use it instead of an Untimed Power Quake. If you happen to be able to use 2 POW Blocks, save eating the 2nd Honey and use it to make a Super Soda, skipping the Apple.
  194. Go to the left, push the block up twice and jump to the right to hit the centre coin block [202 Coins]
  195. Parakarry across to the Super Block. Upgrade Parakarry. [2 SB]
  196. Take the pipe to Boo's Mansion

  207. Go to the room to the left and obtain the Weight
  208. Use the Weight to go through the door
  209. Head down and into the Super Boots room

  212. Break down through the boards and hit the switches to lower the stairs
  213. Go back to the main floor and head through the door on the right
  214. Spin jump the first crate in the back-right for an Apple [7 Items]
  215. Parakarry over to Boo's Portrait
  216. Bomb the wall through to the next room
  217. Head upstairs and get the panel Starpiece in the middle of the Record room [9 SP]
  218. Give Boo his portrait and get Bow
  219. Leave the Mansion

  221. - Segment 17 -
  222. To Gusty Gulch
  223. Get the Repel Gel [8 Items]
  224. Obtain the Letter in Gusty Gulch
  225. Head to Tubba Blubba's Castle

  228. Go left 2x
  229. Go in the upper door in the next room
  230. Go down the stairs, break through the boards and get a Castle Key
  231. In the next room, get the Super Block. Upgrade Bow. [3 SB]
  232. Get grabbed by the guy and kicked out of the castle

  235. Reenter and this time take the door to the right
  236. Eventually there's a Clubba against a wall, move him out of the way and bomb the wall behind him
  237. Break the upper-left boards first, but without falling down through
  238. Then break down through the upper-right boards and Parakarry over to D-Down Jump [16 B]
  239. Now take the spring back up and head back into the hallway
  240. Enter the next door and get the Castle Key in the spike room
  241. Take extra damage from the spikes, if needed, to get to 1 HP
  242. Continue along and push the clock and get Mega Rush [17 B]
  243. Equip Power Bounce. Unequip Power Quake. Equip Mega Rush
  244. 6 Coins on the bed [208 Coins]
  245. Drop down through the railing and get the Starpiece on the table [10 SP]
  246. Head back through the door to the right
  247. Enter the 1st door in this hallway and get the Starpiece on the table [11 SP]
  248. Enter the 2nd door in this hallway and take the spring back up to the floor above, then continue again to the left
  249. Move the guy out of the way and use the Castle Key
  250. Get the Maple Syrup in the ? block [9 Items]
  251. Eat the Maple Syrup [8 Items]
  252. Avoid Tubba Blubba and get the Castle Key past the sleeping Clubbas in the next room

  255. Get the Mystical Key

  293. Take the lower path first on the way back and get Dizzy Stomp [20 B]

  296. Ride the zipline and jump off for another Super Block. Upgrade Parakarry. [5 SB]
  297. Fall off to the right and get the Starpiece panel [14 SP]
  298. If you can avoid getting hit by the fire bars, you can skip hitting the heart block.
  299. You can try to get 10 coins from the last fire bar while waiting for the platform [218 Coins]
  300. Use Parakarry to clip past the rock wall

  302. Hit the Heart Block if not full HP/FP -- If missing 1 or 2 HP, can opt to block more attacks in the next fight instead.

  326. ? Visit the shop and check a Melon [9 Items] -- I had to do this to make the routes line back up. It's probably a couple seconds worse than some other option, but I don't want to reroute all the recipes just to save 2s.

  328. Ride Sushie on the dock on this screen over to the Starpiece [16 SP]
  329. And hit the tree for a Letter
  330. Return to Yoshi Village and talk to Kolarado and obtain the Jade Jungle Magical Seed
  331. Go to the screen to the left
  332. Get the Starpiece panel in the centre island [17 SP]
  333. If you still haven't found Quizmo at all since first coming to Yoshi Village (when you got Sushie), check for him on the leftmost island.
  334. Take the pipe back to the sewers, swim back across, and then take the pipe up
  335. Go to the left and fight Electro Blooper: [375 XP]
  336. - Turn 1: Do Nothing / Do Nothing / Don't Block
  337. - Turn 2: Do Nothing / Do Nothing
  338. - Turn 3: Untimed Jump / Do Nothing / Don't Block

  446. Fight Lantern Ghost for Watt: [394 XP]
  447. - Smack 3x the Lantern / Power Bounce 6-5-4-3-2 on Lantern Ghost
  448. - SAFE STRAT: Jump the Lantern / Outta Sight -- No need for Safe Strat if you got 7 Bounces.
  449. - Smack 3x the Lantern (if not using Safe Strat) / Power Bounce 6-5-4-3-2 on Lantern Ghost
  450. - If not dead: Smack 3x the Lantern / Jump on Ghost -- Can Power Bounce if needed

  523. - There are 3 badges that you can get that can help.
  524. - They are Jump Charge, Dodge Master, and All or Nothing.
  525. - Jump Charge only saves time in Chapter 6. All or Nothing doesn't save time until after Chapter 7. Dodge Master is just nice to have in general.
  526. - You have a few coins at this point, so if you want to help ensure that you do get those badges, you can check the badge shop a few times between now and when you finally farm coins from Smash Attack.
  527. - If you do buy a badge then you have to remember to buy one less badge at some point between now and after the end of Chapter 6, in order to balance out your coins.
  528. - To be honest, finding these badges isn't exactly necessary, and they don't really save any time. Just a couple seconds here and there; not really worth going in and out of the shop.
  529. - There comes a point in the run though when you NEED to have found Dodge Master and All or Nothing. You need them both for the Dojo.
  530. - But at that point in the run, there are only 3 badges left in the shop, so there's a very good chance you'll have found them anyway.
  531. - And even if you haven't, they will be there on the way to the Dojo, and you will probably have some coins--not enough to buy all three badges, but probably enough to buy the one you're looking for.
  532. - So the only reason, really, to check the badge shop, is if you want to ensure that you have the help of Dodge Master in the upcoming fights.
  533. - You can't really afford to carry around safety Life Shrooms, so Dodge Master might be especially useful in this run, even though it tends to cause a lot of extra equips.
  534. - In general I did avoid strats that relied on not getting bad bounce RNG, whether you have Dodge Master or not, but it's still a nice badge to have.

  1062. - First let me explain how Quizmo works.
  1063. - He has two main properties: His location, and whether or not he appears at his location.
  1064. - After you find him, he stops appearing at his location until you visit a village different from the one you last found him in.
  1065. - But when you do so, it also reactivates his ability to change locations.
  1066. - Now every time you visit a screen of a village, he has a random chance to change his location to one of the screens in that village (not necessarily the screen you're currently on).
  1067. - But the key is this: If he chooses not to change his location (which is likely), he stays at the last location that you found him. So you can head immediately back to that village and get him without having try to get him to spawn.
  1068. - Note that if the village you last found him on has multiple locations where he can spawn, when you go to that village, he still retains his ability to change locations. So you could go back to that village and find that he's changed to a different location in that same village.
  1069. - Once he decides to change his location though (and he can decide to change it to the same place that he currently is), he stays there until you go to another village again.
  1070. - So to actually farm Quizmo, first go to Goomba Village and go in and out of the loading zone to the area where you first landed until he spawns. (You wouldn't do this if you saw him when you were last at Koopa Village, though. I'm just explaining the general proceedure.)
  1071. - Then go straight to Koopa Village and quickly check if he's below the pipe there.
  1072. - If he's not, then you should immediately return to Goomba Village -- it's likely that he's still there.
  1073. - If he is there below the pipe, this time when you go to Goomba Village, quickly check that location and immediately return to Koopa Village if he's not there, because, again, it's likely he's still back at the pipe in Koopa Village.
  1074. - But if you arrive at the place where it was likely that he is, only to find out that he's not there, that means he's decided to change his location to the other screen of Koopa Village.
  1075. - If you're at Koopa Village when you discover this, go and get him before returning to Goomba Village.
  1076. - Once you're back at Goomba Village, start the process over by getting him to spawn at Goomba Village again.
  1077. - The first time that you're on Koopa Village and you realize he's spawned on the other screen of Koopa Village, get a Koopa Leaf [10 Items] -- Get a 2nd Koopa Leaf if you're playing the English version.
  1078. - If it looks like that situation is never going to occur, just get the Koopa Leaf on your last visit to Koopa Village.
  1079. - Also when you get the Koopa Leaf is the best time to get the Starpiece above the brick block [157 SP]
  1080. Once you've answered all 64 of Quizmo's questions, return to the sewers

  1082. - Segment 78 -
  1083. Beat Super Blooper [859 XP]
  1084. - Turn 1: Super Charge / Shell Shot / Block
  1085. - Turn 2: Power Bounce 12-11-10-9-8-7 / Shell Shot -- 7 bounces to skip. Do nothing if only 4 bounces. Remember that you have to hit the action command on the last bounce when using All or Nothing.
  1086. - Turn 3: Air Raid -- First do a Jump, if only 4 bounces.
  1087. - Without Dodge Master you're risking getting less bounces, and without All or Nothing you'll be doing less damage, but you should still be able to beat him in 3 turns, though the adjustments based on how many bounces you get will have to be different.

  1296. - Turn 1: Power Bounce 10-9-8-7 / Outta Sight -- Fan Smack if 6 bounces.
  1297. - Turn 2: Jump -- Power Bounce 10-9-8 if only 3 bounces. Remember that you have to hit the action command on the last bounce.
  1298. I recommend saving here so you can beat Bowser again and then check the chalkboard to prove you got all the recipes. That way you don't have to check during the run.

  1303. ? - Switch to Parakarry -- Watt doesn't need a Maple Syrup, but if you have one (or if you got 4-5 bounce on Hallway), then you can use the Turbo Charge strat for a bit extra damage.
  1304. - Turn 1: Power Bounce / Shell Shot -- Impossible to miss, so just flick it. - Lose a Life Shroom without a Close Call. [3 Items]
  1305. - Turn 2: Power Bounce / Shell Shot
  1306. - Turn 3: Star Beam
  1307. - Dash / Focus
  1308. - Dash / Focus
  1309. - Dash / Focus
  1310. - Dash / Focus

  1312. - Obtain Peach Beam [9 SS]
  1313. - Turn 1: Peach Beam / Shell Shot / Block
  1314. - Turn 2: Power Bounce / Shell Shot - Lose a Life Shroom without a Close Call. [2 Items] -- Not unlikely that you will kill him this turn.
  1315. - Turn 3: Power Bounce / Shell Shot / Block -- He should be dead unless he healed. You might want to switch to Watt if you're not going to be able to kill him.
  1316. - If he healed, just keep at him. You'd have to be very unlucky to actually die.
