  3. -----
  4. >You scramble into a nearby alley to get out of the pouring rain on this dark night in Ponyville.
  5. >Most shops were closed long ago and most house lights were turning out for a night of well deserved rest.
  6. >Yet, here you are, stuck in the cold rain in a dark alleyway.
  7. >Trying to make a shameful buck.
  8. >You are Anonymous.
  9. >Leaning up against the brick wall, you try to make use of what little dry shelter you have in your resting place.
  10. >Well, you suppose it could be called your home.
  11. >You don't have a house.
  12. >That's because you can't get a job.
  13. >You can't get a job because none of the ponies respect you here.
  14. >It started with the welcoming party Pinkie Pie threw for you.
  15. >Twilight was more than happy to take you in when you arrived in Ponyville by some mysterious circumstance.
  16. >When you went to the welcoming party, you and Twilight had a bit too much to drink.
  17. >One thing lead to another... and the next thing you remember, Twilight is nuzzled up in your arms, your naked body holding her closely.
  18. >That's when the rumors spread.
  19. >"Anon's paying the rent by rutting Twilight!"
  20. >"I wonder how good he is?"
  21. >"Will he accept other favors for sex?"
  22. >The horny, lonely mares swarmed on you.
  23. >All you wanted was a normal job.
  24. >That way you could pay Twilight some sort of rent.
  25. >She was selfless enough to take you in when you needed it most.
  26. >The both of you admitted it was a mistake and wrote it off.
  27. >However, she did say she remembered everything from that night...
  28. >That's not the point though.
  29. >The least you can do to repay her was to pay rent.
  30. >But, everywhere you applied they would only give you the job if you performed sexual favors for them.
  31. >You turned down each and every job in the meantime.
  32. >Twilight was so encouraging and helpful.
  33. >She made you feel like you could really accomplish anything if you set your mind to it.
  34. >The bookish unicorn helped you keep working harder and harder for a job, pulling countless one nighters and appling for every job you could imagine.
  35. >But the sexual requests never relented.
  36. >Until, finally one day, you broke.
  37. >You couldn't stand not paying her back anymore.
  38. >It was supposed to be a one time thing for Fluttershy.
  39. >Help boost her confidence.
  40. >Just one night.
  41. >Yet the rumors ran again.
  42. >"It's just a little money?"
  43. >"Tell me again how big it was!"
  44. >"Five times! My word!"
  45. >It wasn't long until Twilight caught wind and confronted you.
  46. >She ordered you to stop selling your body, that the money didn't matter to her.
  47. >Twilight just wanted her Anon.
  48. >That she loved you, and only wanted you.
  49. >On that day, you quit the business of prostitution.
  50. >But, you can't just quit and some mares just don't understand no.
  51. >In the middle of the night, on your way home from running errands for Twilight, some mare struck you down in the street and had her way with you.
  52. >Your head hurt so much and you were so disoriented that you couldn't even fight back.
  53. >Twilight, concerned why you weren't back yet, saw it happen.
  54. >The mare tossed money at your feet and left without another word.
  55. >Nothing you could say would convince Twilight that you were raped.
  56. >Let alone the rest of the town.
  57. >"I bet he liked it."
  58. >"Look at his hands. He's made to fuck. It's all he's good for."
  59. >"How much this time sexy?"
  60. >Twilight grew further and further distant and nothing you could do would bring her back.
  61. >She kicked you out one day, convinced that you never gave up the sex trade.
  62. >Now here you are.
  63. >Stuck in the streets in the middle of the night.
  64. >No chance for a job.
  65. >No food.
  66. >No home.
  67. >And you lost the only love of your life in this forsaken world of horses.
  68. >In the end, the only way you can make money, was through fucking.
  69. >It's been nearly a month now, getting donations and tips from other ponies to keep up your appearance, just so they can fuck your brains out.
  70. >You've never felt more soulless in your entire life.
  71. >If you were lucky, a mare wouldn't mind if you stayed the night... or they would pay you to cuddle them.
  72. >But not tonight.
  73. >Berry wanted you out right after you were done.
  74. >So here you are in the pouring rain.
  75. >Alone.
  76. >"Anon?"
  77. >Or at least you -thought- you were alone.
  78. >You look up to the street and see a pony carrying a pink umbrella, shrouded in the dark.
  79. "Yeah?" You ask to the mysterious figure.
  80. >"What are you doing out here?" says the familiar voice, approaching you slowly.
  81. "This is where I live. Where ever I can find shelter."
  82. >The pony in front of you lights her horn, and reveals herself to be the pony of your dreams.
  83. >Your heart is overwhelmed in guilt and shame.
  84. >"Why? Can't you find a job?"
  85. >You break eye contact and stare at the ground.
  86. "I've been trying so hard..." you answer, trying to keep your composure. "Nobody wants to hire someone with my reputation."
  87. >"I see." says Twilight, standing at the entrance to the alleyway.
  88. >You look down at her pristine hooves and back to your filthy hands.
  89. >How could you ruin everything this bad.
  90. "I'm so sorry."
  91. >Twilight stands in the darkness, looking down at your wet, sorry corpse.
  92. "I should have swallowed my pride for long enough to listen to you."
  93. >The rain drips down and continues soak your shoes, which are falling apart.
  94. "If you felt the same way about me, that I feel about you. Then I can only imagine how much I hurt you, and I'm the only one to blame. I messed up so bad. I messed us up."
  95. >You refuse to look up at the unicorn, and continue to stare at the wet ground.
  96. >An uncomfortable silence is filled with the sound of rain gently falling on the ground.
  97. "I just wish I could start over."
  98. >You breathe hard to try and stay strong in front of Twilight.
  99. >The aching feeling in your chest is overwhelming your thoughts.
  100. >Twilight turns around slowly and your sink your head into your hands.
  101. >"Come on." she says in a patient tone.
  102. >She walks away and you look up at her in shock.
  103. >After a few feet, she looks back at you.
  104. >"Are you coming?"
  105. >She doesn't have to tell you twice.
  106. >You leap to your feet and follow after her.
  107.
  108. ---
  109.
  110. >The rain pours down over your head as you follow Twilight back to the warmly lit Library.
  111. >The freezing air doesn't seem to be as cold as you remember.
  112. >Right now, everything to seems to be just a little bit brighter.
  113. >Does this mean she's going to give you a second chance?
  114. >You can only dream.
  115. >Maybe she figured out that you were raped...
  116. >Perhaps she will listen to you now.
  117. >She opens the door with her magic and steps inside, leaving the door open for you.
  118. >You follow her inside and close the door quietly.
  119. >"Get those wet clothes off or you will get sick." she says unenthusiastically, drying off her umbrella with her magic.
  120. >The emotionless tone in her voice stings, but you have to start somewhere.
  121. >You shed your drenched, over-worn t-shirt, revealing a sickly pale, malnourished stomach.
  122. >Twilight turns and examines the shambles that your body has fallen to.
  123. >Taking off your shoes, you shove everything into your shoes and leave them by the door.
  124. >You have unconsciously learned some tricks for if you need to make a quick escape.
  125. >Wearing only a ragged pair of pants, you step inside the clean library.
  126. >It's only once you see how nice the Library is that you realize how badly you missed more than just it's smart purple inhabitant.
  127. >"Spike. Go to bed." Twilight calls through her home.
  128. >"Awww!" Says the dragon, entering from another room. "Can't I just-"
  129. >He freezes when he sets his eyes on you.
  130. >"Go to bed." Twilight demands.
  131. >"I thought we-"
  132. >"Bed. Now." she barks.
  133. >Spike leaves the room, casting glances over his shoulder at you.
  134. >You meekly wave.
  135. >There will hopefully be time to talk to him later.
  136. >Hopefully.
  137. >Right now, it's pretty clear Twilight has something on her mind.
  138. >She always gets quiet when she's thinking through a plan.
  139. >She begins pacing in front of you.
  140. "What's wrong Twi."
  141. >"I'm sorry Anon. I have to give you a test."
  142. "A test? For what?" you ask curiously, worried.
  143. >"None of the others wanted me to see you ever again. Even Spike. They told me to let you keep doing... what you do."
  144. >You gulp and say nothing.
  145. >She's got you cornered.
  146. >She pulls out a small coin purse from her bag and tosses it on the floor in front of you.
  147. >You eye it.
  148. >"That's 100 bits. If you just want more money. Take it and go, but if you really mean the things you said, I'll be upstairs."
  149. >Twilight turns away and ascends the stairs of the library to her room, leaving you with the bag of bits.
  150. >You walk over to the small purse and open it.
  151. >All of the coins are there.
  152. >This is almost a whole weeks pay.
  153. >You juggle the coins in your hand and think about all of the things you can do with this money.
  154. >For about a minute.
  155. >You set the bag on a table and ascend the stairs to the unicorn's room.
  156. >The lights are out and she lays in bed, her face away from the door.
  157. >What did she honestly expect for you to do?
  158. >If you lay beside her in her bed, will she be surprised?
  159. >Will she be jubilant?
  160. >You take another step closer to her bed.
  161. >How hard of head games did her friends play on her?
  162. >If you did come back, what would they say?
  163. >Would they just push her to kick you out again?
  164. >Was it them that made her kick you out the first time?
  165. >You take another few steps closer.
  166. >Fuck her friends.
  167. >What matters is that the two of you might have the chance to give things another shot.
  168. >Do things the right way.
  169. >You can set your old life behind you and try to restart.
  170. >This is exactly what you wanted.
  171. >This is everything that you wanted.
  172. >This is what SHE wanted.
  173. >You approach the bed and hear the soft breathing of the mare.
  174. >Just before you climb in beside her, right before you wrap her in your arms and keep her warm on this cold, rainy night... you stop.
  175. >One thought stops you in your tracks.
  176. >A simple question.
  177. >Is this what's best for her?
  178. >You step backward.
  179. >Will this cause a massive rift in her friends?
  180. >Is this going to hurt her relationship with the princess, if she finds out that her best student is dating a whore?
  181. >Can you live with knowing that knowing even though this is what she wants, it's not what's best for her?
  182. >You make another step towards the door and turn around.
  183. >She's already been hurt so much by your hands.
  184. >Even by things that you couldn't control.
  185. >It's not fair to her.
  186. >She can't throw her life away for you.
  187. >Twilight has too many wonderful things in her life to risk losing them on you.
  188. >You step out of her room, with tears in your eyes.
  189. "I'm sorry."
  190. >You descend the stairs and eye the bag.
  191. >There's no way you can accept her money either.
  192. >You sigh to yourself and turn to the door.
  193. >"Where are are you going Anonymous?"
  194. >The unexpected voice makes you leap inside your skin as you spin around.
  195. >A navy blue alicorn stands in front of you, with a disappointed frown.
  196. "Who are you?"
  197. >"I am Princess Luna, Princess of the Night." she answers in a maternal tone.
  198. >You eye her with impatience.
  199. "Is that some sort of sick joke? Why are you in Twilight's house?"
  200. >"It's surely no joke Anonymous. We are here to discuss your decision on this night."
  201. "Well. Thanks. I guess, but I think you're just rubbing it in. I can't ruin her life. She deserves better than just some whore."
  202. >Oh, I understand your position Anonymous. We have been watching you as you have sold your body to make wages. Neither I nor the other three princesses understand why you or some other ponies make this decision, but we do not interfere. Until tonight.
  203. >You stand in front of the Princess with a flowing mane, eyeing her curiously.
  204. "How? This is the best thing for her Princess. Don't you agree?"
  205. >"No Anonymous. We believe that you have the potential to change your life for the better and abandon the reputation you have made for yourself, but you do not believe it yourself.
  206. >You sigh in exasperation.
  207. >There is no way you are getting off easy here.
  208. "Well great. Why don't I just run back upstairs then, if you say I can do it."
  209. >"Because if you do not believe that you can change, then you will not."
  210. "I've tried though... I've tried so hard before. Then I was raped and nobody believed me." you hiss with exasperation.
  211. >"We know. We have watched your dreams for a long time now." she answers calmly.
  212. "I just don't know what to do."
  213.
  214. ---
  215.
  216. >"What is it that you think you should do Anonymous?"
  217. >You sit in the chair and place your head in your hands.
  218. "I want to be with Twilight again... but" you answer, pausing.
  219. >"But?" Princess Luna mimics.
  220. "With my reputation... how do I know it won't hurt her more than it will make her happy?"
  221. >"And that is a reason to give up?" She asks you.
  222. >You sigh to yourself.
  223. "I'd hate to be the reason that would receive any disfavor from Princess Celestia or have her friends abandon her."
  224. >Luna hums to herself as she moves directly in front of you.
  225. >"We cannot speak for our sister's sake. Her opinions are hers, and hers alone."
  226. >You sigh, knowing the answer lies in front of you.
  227. >"However, why do you think that my sister would dislike her star pupil or her friends could abandon their dear friend?"
  228. "Isn't it obvious!" You answer angrily. "You know what I do! You know my reputation! No one on this planet will give me an ounce of respect."
  229. >"Then what is the best way to change the reputation that you have been granted?"
  230. >You try to find an answer, but none comes to you.
  231. "I've tried quitting before... it's not easy. I have to make money somehow... and my reputation..."
  232. >"That's only part of the answer." Luna calmly answers.
  233. "What do you mean?" You ask curiously.
  234. >"Close your eyes and try to sleep. I would like to show you something."
  235. "What?"
  236. >"I'm going to show you something in your dream space. Events you may have not known about."
  237. >A Princess you only just met wants to get inside your head.
  238. >At this point, what do you have to lose?
  239. >You close your eyes and lean your head against your shoulder.
  240. >Sleep takes a hold of you quickly.
  241. >Attempting to open your eyes, you find yourself in a vast dark area.
  242. "Hello?"
  243. >A familiar room of Twilight's Library slowly materializes into existence.
  244. >In the room, you see the purple unicorn talking to you.
  245. >Not -you-, but a copy of you in the room.
  246. >Her voice is calm, calculated, and serious.
  247. >"We can't do this anymore Anon."
  248. "I remember this."
  249. >"Can't do what?" the copy of you answers.
  250. >"I can't let you stay here anymore."
  251. >"What do you mean? Twilight... what are you saying?"
  252. >"I'm saying we are through Anon. You have to take your things and leave."
  253. >"Twilight. I have -nothing-. Barely any bits. No job." The copy of you attempts to explain. "How am I supposed to afford somewhere to live?"
  254. >You know what's coming next.
  255. >Putting your fingers in your ears, you try to block out the words.
  256. >Yet, they still come out crystal clear.
  257. >"You should have thought about that before you made love to half the mares in this town Anon. I'm sorry. You have to go."
  258. "But Twilight! I was raped!" you say in perfect harmony with your copy.
  259. >"I wish I could believe you Anon. I want to. I really do. But you have a problem that I can't fix. Please leave, I don't want a bad influence like you around Spike." Twilight says coldly, staring at the floor.
  260. >The copy does everything exactly like you remembered.
  261. >He walks out of the Library, tears in his eyes and Twilight stands resolute in her position, never shifting her gaze.
  262. >After the door slams, the door to her basement opens slowly, and her five friends emerge from the depths.
  263. >Tears form in the eyes of the purple unicorn as her legs fail her and she collapses to the ground.
  264. >"It really was for the best darling." coos Rarity, wrapping a hoof around her.
  265. >Fluttershy remains silent, also wrapping a hoof around her friend.
  266. >"Who knows what that darn monkey had there Twi." Adds Applejack. "You'll find someone else who is even better than Anon. It'll be fine."
  267. >"But what if I don't Applejack? What if-"
  268. >"Twilight. We know you really didn't want to do that... but if you just give it time, I'm sure you will be a whole new mare." Rainbow Dash interrupts.
  269. >"But I could have done more to help him Rainbow... I believed Anon... even though you all didn't." Twilight replies.
  270. >"There is no way a monkey like that could get raped Twilight. Sex is what they are built for!" Rainbow interjects.
  271. >"You know? I think we could all use a nice party right now, to take our mind off of the sad things!" Pinkie says in a forlorn attempt to lighten the mood.
  272. >Twilight rises up to her hooves.
  273. >"Right now girls, I think I just want to be alone... Thank you... really."
  274. >The purple unicorn laboriously makes her way up to her room, closing the door behind her.
  275. >You follow her up the stairs and step through the door, watching the memory.
  276. >Twilight approaches a small wooden chest and searches through it carefully.
  277. >"There you are."
  278. >She pulls out a small pony doll with brownish string hair and buttons for eyes.
  279. >"I've missed you so much Smarty Pants."
  280. >The unicorn moves to her bed and crawls under the covers.
  281. >She holds the little doll in her hooves as she curls herself into a ball under the covers.
  282. >"If I did the right thing... *sniff* Why am I crying?" Twilight mutters to herself.
  283. >You move to the bed and try to place your hand your love to comfort her, but your efforts are in vain.
  284. >The hand simply passes through her solid form.
  285. "She didn't want to let me go?"
  286. >"That's exactly right." the voice of the night princess echoes through the dream.
  287. "She had... confidence in me?"
  288. >"What else did you notice?" Luna's voice asks.
  289. >You watch the crying unicorn on her bed mourn the loss of her lover.
  290. "Her friends put her up to it."
  291. >"What do you think of that?" Luna replies.
  292. "Well. It's extremely inconsiderate."
  293. >"Why?"
  294. "They didn't take her opinion into account at all. They forced her to do what they thought was best for her, rather than what she wanted."
  295. >"How is that different from what you were going to do?"
  296. >You try to answer, but you feel your body being pulled hard from behind.
  297. >Pulled from the library, you are pulled into the dark space and you are falling.
  298. >The air flies by you, but you land softly outside Twilight's home.
  299. "Luna?"
  300. >The only answer you receive is silence.
  301. "I know what I want... and what she wants..."
  302. >You step into the treehouse and see your body still sitting at the table, fast asleep.
  303. "It's not going to be easy, but I can change for her. We just have to trust each other and work together."
  304. >You touch your body with your ghostly form.
  305. >Bright white light fills your vision.
  306.
  307. "I know I can change this around."
  308.
  309. >Waking up, you ascend the stairs with purpose and enter Twilight's room, where she remains unmoved.
  310. >The rain had cleared letting the bright evening moon shine into her bedroom.
  311. >Without a second thought, you make your way to Twilight's bed and crawl in beside her.
  312. >Her eyes gently open and she turns to you, slowly.
  313. >"Am I dreaming?" she asks groggily.
  314. >You smile and wrap your arms around her.
  315. "Nope. I'm right here Twi."
  316. >She nuzzles herself into your chest and you feel her body shake.
  317. >"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I doubted you... Luna showed me what really happened that night... and-"
  318. >You place a finger on her lips, silencing her.
  319. "She came to me and showed me everything. I understand Twi."
  320. >Twilight remains quiet, tightening her grip on you.
  321. "I'm sorry I ever gave you a reason to doubt me... but I'm going to do everything I can to put all of this behind me."
  322. >"Don't ever leave again... please..." she chokes out amidst tears.
  323. >You gently caress her mane and hold her tightly back.
  324. "You're stuck with me Twilight. I'm not going anywhere."
  325. >An involuntary chuckle escapes her mouth as she lays beside you, tears running into her bedsheets and creating a small puddle.
  326. >"I thought I lost you." she whispers.
  327. "I thought I lost you." you whisper back.
  328. >The warm embrace of your arms slowly lulls her to sleep in your arms.
  329. >Gently, you kiss her forehead and drift off to sleep yourself.
  330. >As you hoped, you arrive in the black space one more time.
  331. >"We are happy for you, Anonymous." calls Luna's voice.
  332. >She begins to materialize from the darks space and approaches you with a smile.
  333. "Thank you so much for telling me what the right thing to do was Princess..."
  334. >The princess of the night smiles and shakes her head.
  335. >"We did not tell you anything Anonymous. The answer lied within you the whole time."
  336. >A smile curls on your face and you wrap your arms around the princess in a light embrace.
  337. "Thank you."
  338. >"Of course Anonymous."
  339. >Breaking your hug, you notice the Princess turns and slowly returns to the dark.
  340. "Wait! How can I change my reputation! Twilight deserves it." you call after her.
  341. >"Learn from your mistakes. Work hard every day to change what others think of you. Don't let a day go by."
  342. >Soon, the princess is gone and when you wake up, the love of your life is resting peacefully in your arms, a smile gracing her beautiful face.
  343. >It's going to be hard.
  344. >But for her, it's worth it.
