My fellow Scranton Prep students, leadership is an important quality. Leaders are judged by their ability to communicate, to help all to prosper, to love and to be generous, and to put the needs of their people above their own. Seeing the choices of Student Council officers before you today, you have to choose for yourself who you think will best help the school grow and to bring the Prep family closer together. Certainly you are all aware of that because you are each an intelligent part of the student body, but then what makes me, a candidate for the Office of Vice President, a cut above the rest? As I believe an official should, I will be completely honest with you in saying that I can’t promise you changes that aren’t in my power; however, what I can fully promise is a more happy Prep experience for everyone. I do well overseeing tasks and will work striving to help organize events in clubs within our school. Moreover, in the event that any of our to-be elected officials are absent, I will stand in their place and do their tasks dutifully. My leadership potential drives me to always help my fellow students, freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior alike, and I will fight to ensure what all here at Prep should be able to have: happiness.
