[20:20] <CounterBeard> Last time on Talent Scouts! Savage and Tentra met with an Elemental Manifestation bound, Regibubble. It desired to test Lindsey to see if she was worthy of a pact. In the ensuing battle both Tetra and Lindsey got a DOUBLE KO. It gifted her with a fraction of its power. A wegibubble. Oh also Rock is was passed out and Alexei went and got drunk with a giant Crab. What weirdness awaits this week? Let's find out!

[20:21] <Rock> (So, where are we?)
[20:22] <CounterBeard> You are all currently at the Loire Estate, it is the day after the RegiFight. Lindon is still in his bed as you all hear whoops and hollars outside from the assembled masses wanting to watch the contest of skill and battling (and maybe fabulous).
06[20:23] * Rock shakes his head, looking at Biter, since he was out. "Alright, alright. I'll ask you BEFORE I attack anyone."
[20:23] <CounterBeard> Lindsey is currently in her room playing with wegibubble. She is grounded for a month for goign to go try and contract Ancient Elements.
[20:24] <CounterBeard> Biter shrugs. <I thought we could take it. Til it hit us back.>
[20:25] <Tentra> (best reason for being grounded ever.)
06[20:25] * Alexei is murmuring to himself as he rubs his head and looks over the crowd. "How is crab have TWO giant claw? Is not make sense! Maybe crab store alcohol in claw, so he drink like strong Sinnoh man!"
[20:25] <Rock> "Yeah, true." Rock shrugs and looks to the others. "So... since the girl is grounded, we have to wait for that before we can establish the gym, right?"
06[20:26] * Tentra sits paitentently in the comfiest chair she could find, scribing something in a thick tome while waiting to see what happens next.
06[20:26] * Celia is watching from the crowds, searching for the place to register herself on this so called... "Guardian Fight." Truly, waiting with this rabble is not something for her, the main character, so she yells at the guys on the state. "HEY! YOU JERKS! LET ME IN!"
[20:26] <Savage> Savage has been noticably quiet since coming back; probably thanks to a scolding he got from the family for encouraging Lindsey's actions.  "Well, there is... I mean we could always--?" oh hey someone's shouting at them
06[20:27] * Rock sighs and looks outside, taking out his bow. "What a rowdy bunch... especially that girl."
[20:28] <Tentra> "...has the family patriarch told us of his plans for this event yet?"
[20:28] <Rock> "Nope."
[20:28] <Tentra> She looks up briefly, nibbling on the end of a pen.
06[20:29] * Alexei holds his empty flask upside down and squints into the opening, shaking it furiously. "We should make test quickly to receive paycheck sooner."
[20:29] <Savage> "Well you'd better not shoot them," Savage half-glares at Rock for pulling out his weapon at the moment.
[20:29] <CounterBeard> Lindon hobbles on out to the common room on a pair of crutches. "Well hello there. Hope you all had a better night sleep then me."
[20:30] <Celia> "Bah, perhaps i should fry those imbeciles on the crowds. Perhaps that show of strength against random idiots might make me... Noticed by whoever is inside that manse."
[20:30] <Rock> "Good to see you're active."
06[20:30] * Tentra gives a polite nod to Lindon from her chair.
[20:32] <CounterBeard> "Can't keep a one of us down too long. Now that we've got Lindsey back we can finally finish all of this. My son and I perused some of the canidates yesterday. Only a few really stood out. I was hoping you all could take over for us, seeing as how James shipped out this morning and I plan to have a long talk with my granddaughter."
[20:35] <CounterBeard> "Did any of you have any plans? We were mostly thinking of just battle challenges or some such?"
06[20:36] * Tentra closes the tome quietly and slides it away. She looks to the others, not how they've handled such things in the past.
[20:36] <Rock> "Yeah, that works."
06[20:36] * Alexei gives up and tosses his flask aside for the moment. "Last time we did fabulous contest. Maybe this time is try that again?"
06[20:36] * Savage has gone mostly quiet since Lindon came out, after giving him a wave of greeting, then returning to his companions.
[20:37] <CounterBeard> Lindon takes a seat in one of the other comfy chairs. "Do what ever you please, but I reserve the right for final say. It is my grandaughters lifer at stake."
[20:37] <Rock> "Nah. We're looking for a guardian. Not a performer."
[20:38] <Tentra> Tentra looks veryconfused. "What is a...contest?"
[20:39] <Alexei> "I have most fabulous idea. Island is made of many fabulous coral. So guardian for island must be skill at command coral guardians of island. So..." Alexei taps his feet a bit and strikes a pose from his corsola dance. "Contest is have candidate make dance for coral! Best candidate is who have best sense for command giant coral guardian!"
06[20:40] * Celia waits on the line, tapping the ground impatiently.
[20:40] <Tentra> Tentra blinks for a few seconds, processing this. "You propose a...dancing competition?"
[20:40] <Rock> "..."
06[20:41] * Alexei crosses his arms and nods.
[20:41] <CounterBeard> Lindon blinks and rubs his temples "You could do that. But most of the locals wouldn't even try."
[20:42] <Rock> "Hm... let's just do a normal battle."
[20:42] <Alexei> "Then is shameful disgrace without passion needed for protect gym leader from Triface!"
[20:42] <Savage> "Well... wouldn't that be the point?" Savage leans back a little.  "You don't want just anyone, right?"
[20:42] <Alexei> "Hippie boy is finally speak sense, yes."
06[20:44] * Rock sighs. "I don't think who ever wins a competition of commanding wilds would really help..."
[20:44] <Savage> "Well, that, I guess, and..." Savage seems to actually get thoguhtful a bit.  "I mean I'm sure Lindon would already know all the really good battlers in town, right?"
[20:44] <Tentra> "We - I, uh," she takes a deep breath, and sighs.  "These things are not as we predicted, it seems."
[20:45] <CounterBeard> Lindon shrugs again nodding to Savage "That I do Savage. Most of them are either closer to Lindsey's age or mine. Although I'd say most of you are closer to Lindsey than me. Save for Alexei."
[20:45] <Alexei> "Giant coral is island natural defense! Why would you not use for guard gym leader?"

[20:46] <Tentra> She nibbles on a pen. "We think we see the logic here..?"
[20:47] <Tentra> "The town is built from the creatures, and those gathered are already the best combatents, perhaps other criteria must be evaluated?"
[20:47] <Savage> "Well, yeah, it takes more than just--actually, I think the old man and me are thinking alike.  It's like... being, uh, what's the word?  ...Having stuff and ideas and all that when you need it for what you need it for."
06[20:47] * Savage flails his arms a little as though the word's just barely escaping him.
[20:47] <Rock> E"Hm... if you say everyone back there is already a good battler, I guess I see your point."
06[20:47] * Alexei shrugs. "I am not know word either."
[20:48] <Tentra> "Resourceful?"
[20:48] <CounterBeard> "Cooperation, kid?"
[20:48] <Alexei> "Of course vodka mage would know word. Can turn vodka into magical letter."
[20:48] <Savage> "Resourceful, that's it!  But that too!"
[20:49] <Tentra> She has already mentally accepted that this misunderstanding is going to persist, so she just nods along.
[20:50] <CounterBeard> "Hmm. Alright. I see where you are all coming from. I'll have a chat with our friend below the waves before you all head out to make sure he knows what is going on. A bit testy when it comes to the reef."
06[20:50] * Rock nods. "Alright, then. We'll go outside a little bit..."
06[20:51] * Rock stands up and opens the door.
[20:52] <CounterBeard> Rock can see the crowd has grown from when you all showed up. It seems people have even set up some rough seats and a little stage in the center. There is a line to the side with people watching the door like wargles.
06[20:53] * Tentra gathers her things, not exactly sure what's to follow this, she takes a peek at the ghost shell before heading out

[20:53] <Rock> "...well, Lindon, you betteer hurry with your talks. Looks like the crowd ain't waiting."
06[20:53] * Celia starts hustling around the line, trying to reach the man who just opened that door. "Hey you! Let me in!"
[20:54] <Rock> "Why should I?" Rock says, gripping his bow.
[20:54] <CounterBeard> Tentra the egg seems to go frigid. The shell becoming brittle, and cracking. A faint glow shines through the cracks as it starts to hatch.
[20:55] <Tentra> She drops EVERYTHING and and gaaasssspps.  She sits on the floor quickly and puts the egg down, watching it with wide eyes and mouth open.
06[20:55] * Alexei picks up his fallen flask as he follows the others.
06[20:55] * Savage looks up from his buddies, gathering them up and looking towards Rock before--oh hey something's glowing!  He turns his attention to Tentra And The Egg quickly
[20:55] <Celia> "Because the fact i'm the one who will actually win whatever stupid competition you are making for this audition. Put down that weapon, you mindless... Savage!"
[20:56] <Tentra> "OhMyGodIt'sHatchinnnng"
06[20:56] * Rock closes the door and turns to the glowing thing, a little curious himself.
06[20:57] * Alexei gasps and pulls his emergency vodka out of his backpack as he approaches Tentra. "Does vodka mage need material for make voodoo egg hatch better?"
[20:57] <Celia> "How rude!"
[20:58] <Tentra> She doesn't take her eyes off it but responds "I can't do anything to the egg to make it 'hatch better...'"
[20:59] <Alexei> "Maybe pour vodka on egg and use vodka magic!"
[20:59] <CounterBeard> The glow starts to envelope the whole egg, growing blindinly bright. As the light fades a little babby ponyta sits in the middle of the room looking around. It seems to be the same as it was before it died. It's flames a bright blue, maybe with a tinge of purple at the edges. Loire seems confused at the pony too. It looks up to Tentra an cocks its head.
[21:00] <CounterBeard> The egg seems to have burned up or something.
[21:00] <Alexei> "Oh no is too late!" Alexei starts to put away the bottle, then stops. "...but maybe can still do vodka voodoo if feed babypony vodka?"
[21:00] <Tentra> She literally looks just like a little girl who just got a pony for christmas. "It's adorable!" (how big is it by the way?)
06[21:01] * Rock opens the door, grabs Biter, walks out of it, and closes the door, sheathing his bow and walking straight to the docks, not even caring about the crowd any more.
[21:01] <CounterBeard> The pony sits at about a foot tall. And stares up at you Tentra.
[21:02] <Savage> "Oh god it's adorable~" Savage gets the biggest grin
[21:03] <CounterBeard> The crowd yells as you make your way past Rock some of them even throwin out insults.
06[21:04] * Rock listens, while letting go of Biter. Still walking...
[21:04] <Celia> "Shut up, you morons!"
[21:04] <CounterBeard> Babbypony tries to stand on its wobbly legs and ends up falling back down with a grunt.
[21:04] <Tentra> She scoops up the pony with one hand, shuffling through a bag with the other. "Don't worry, little one, I'll take good care of you...it's a blessing to have you with us again."

[21:05] <Tentra> She removes a pokeball from a bag, "Alexei, what do you mean 'feed it vodka..?'"

[21:05] <CounterBeard> It looks up into your face Tentra and snuffles you a moment, before sneezing.
[21:06] <Savage> "I think that's exactly what he means," Savage manages a bit of a grin, but he can hear the jeering outside.  "What... What's everyone so angry about outside?"
[21:06] <Alexei> "Again?" Alexei looks at it then at his bottle then at the door Rock just walked out of. A flash of realization crosses his face. "OH! Is fabulous pony that Rock shoot like rash stupid youth he is."
[21:07] <Celia> "I say, they are keeping us waiting outside?" Celia points at the door. "Perhaps it is time for you to open it or this angry mob will do it for you!"
[21:07] <Alexei> "Quick feed vodka and cast spell of vodka shield before Rock can shoot again." Alexei approaches Tentra, holding out the bottle of vodka.
[21:07] <Rock> "There's no reason for you to go inside. A egg's being hatched and all."
[21:08] <CounterBeard> The ponybabby stares at Alexei and squirms, seems like it dosen't like that smell. And then it changes. It's skin turns black, its mane purple with spikes of blue and its eyes pure white. Around its middle a set of ghostly chains form cold to the touch as they swirl around and through your arms Tentra..
06[21:09] * Alexei gasps. "Pony voodoo!" he lets out in an awed whisper.
[21:09] <Celia> "It will be an omelet if you let the genius Celia waiting outside, bowboy!"
[21:09] <Tentra> "Shhhh," she says as she scratches its head.  "It's okay, little one.  It doesn't seem like he trusts you, Alexei, sorry.."
[21:10] <Rock> "It already hatched." And Rock quickly walked out to the pier.
[21:10] <CounterBeard> It stops squirming and settles down keeping an eye on Alexei. It eventually reverts to its normal form.
06[21:10] * Alexei shoves the bottle of vodka at Tentra. "Then show it how make vodka magic. Summon vodka letter so can see Alexei is have only best of intention!"
[21:11] <CounterBeard> (Vodka Alphabet is best Alphabet)
[21:11] <CounterBeard> It seems some of the crowd shares Celias sentiments and eye the door.
06[21:11] * Savage raises an eyebrow at what babypony just did.  Ooookay maybe not so cute
06[21:12] * Rock gets to the pier, sitting down on one of the piers and looking out to the ocean.
[21:13] <Tentra> "I'm sorry, little one," she says as she continues to pet it.  "But something really important is going on, and I have a job to do..." she holds the pokeball close to it. "I'll let you back out soon, I promise.."
[21:13] <Celia> "Then why keep... AAARGH THAT'S IT, THE MAIN PROTAGONIST WILL NOT ABIDE WITH THIS CRAP!" Celia suddenly storms with the crowd behind her inside the Loire Estate.
[21:14] <CounterBeard> The Pony boops its nose on the button as Celia and five others rush inside.
[21:14] <Savage> "...?" Savage turns his head to see the group rushing in.  "Hm?  What's up?"
06[21:14] * Alexei tosses down a pokeball, releasing a large Milotic into the entrance hall. "Niko! Show unruly crowd how behave!" (spray them with Fountain capability :V)
06[21:15] * Rock left the door CLOSED.
[21:15] <Tentra> Tentra panics as this transpires, gives a surprised, girly shout and darts to the rear of the room.
[21:15] <CounterBeard> The man in front begins to shout "Mr. Loire I can be the best WHAASRGHGLGHEL!"
[21:15] <Celia> (but not "Locked")
[21:15] <Rock> (True.)
[21:16] <Rock> "Hey, Biter. Think you can fish up some fish?"
[21:16] <CounterBeard> The crowd is flushed back outside. Along with a few rugs.
[21:16] <Celia> "I say you guys should make a bet-BLUUUUUUUUUH!"
06[21:16] * Alexei whips out his sword and jabs it into the ground in front of him. Hope Loire didn't like his carpet. "Go to beach! You will be test on FABULOUSNESS!" He points toward the door.
[21:18] <CounterBeard> The guy who was in the lead beams up "OH A RACE!? I can do that!" And then sprints off towards the beach.
[21:18] <CounterBeard> <I dunno. Maybe. What kinda fish?>
[21:19] <Rock> "Any kind. I don't really care what right now."
[21:19] <Tentra> She lets the pony back out, holding it like a newborn as she follows along slowly "Hmmm, what to name you...that was a very intimidating thing you did when Alexei got near you.."
[21:19] <Alexei> "Hmph, now maybe Rock have deal with harassment of unruly crowd for walk off alone and leave comrade behind." Alexei picks up his sword and sheathes it.
06[21:20] * Celia gets up, spitting water. "W-what the... Auuuuuuuu! Y-you jerks should recognize a genius when you see one!" She pouts while skulking to the beach, cursing Alexei. "Why you just don't let me infiltrate your group, you douches!" She says not noticing it's not an internal monologue.
[21:21] <CounterBeard> "Well. Was not quite expecting that. You should all hurry before they do something even more stupid. Lindsey and I will meet you there in a few hours."
[21:22] <Alexei> "Infiltrate? Are you...Triface?" Alexei puts a hand on his sword. "Is Triface go off and hire naive unruly youth for do dirty work again?!"
[21:22] <CounterBeard> Pony nuzzles into you some Tentra and starts to nap.
[21:22] <Celia> "What the heck is a Triface."
[21:23] <Tentra> Tentra is effected by SOCUTE.  She looks to the disturbance between Alexei and the stranger, though.
06[21:24] * Rock looks at the water...
[21:24] <Alexei> "What? Was not list in job description? Who in fuck is write job description? Or...who in fuck is apply for job without read description!"
[21:25] <CounterBeard> Biter peers into the water for a moment. And does a head shake. <I'm...I don't want to.>
[21:26] <Celia> "Sorry, but i am not fluent in 'idiot'. In any case, i was not supposed to say that! Toodles!"
[21:26] <Savage> Savage picks himself up, followed by picking up and gathering his companions.  "Is it just me or are the people in this town... really weird?"
[21:26] <Tentra> "What was that about, Alexei..?"
[21:27] <Rock> "...ah, is there one of your friends there? You can go play with him instead if you want."
[21:27] <Alexei> "Am not sure. Silly girl is say will infiltrate group." Alexei narrows his eyes. "I am think has shit of bull for brain."

[21:30] <Savage> "Oh, well... huhn," Savage isn't sure how to respond to that; he just gets himself going to the beach.
[21:33] <CounterBeard> Everyone that barged in is waiting on the beach. The guy from before is beaming and waiting for you all. Most of everyone else is puffing a little hard. "So! I got here first! Do I win?" He seems to be wearing some sort of sports jersey and shorts.
[21:34] <CounterBeard> There seems to be a few teens, a pair of twin boys, Mr. Happy, and a few older men, Will, The Man from the fishing shop.
[21:35] <Celia> "Fufufu, i will show everyone that the main character is the fabulousest! My incredible natural beauty and charisma will infatuate every single blockhead here." She laughs while standing on the sands.
[21:35] <Tentra> Tentra looks for a nice focal point to watch from, not really sure what to expect from this.
06[21:35] * Rock looks towards the beach, letting Biter play around in the water while he watches the commotion at the beach.
[21:35] <Savage> "Well, I don't think you win just like that," Savage shakes his head.  "Though, points for enthusiasm!"
[21:35] <Alexei> (Milotic has an Overland speed! Sweet)
06[21:36] * Alexei rides to the beach on Niko's back. Upon hearing the guy in a sports jersey, he taps Niko on the head and points to the man. (fountain again :3)
[21:38] <CounterBeard> "Aw really IwaWHWAWAAHFGGLGGHGL!"
06[21:39] * Rock chuckles a little, and turns to Biter...
[21:40] <Rock> "Hey, Biter, I'm going to go see how Alexei and the rest are doing. You want to stay here and play?"
[21:40] <Savage> "So!  Um... we're to understand you're all really good fighters, right?" Savage tries to get all official or something, raising his voice and trying to look imposing.
06[21:40] * Alexei nods in satisfaction and stands on Niko to look for any signs of giant corsola.
[21:40] <Celia> "One of my miriad talents, hairy boy! Hohohohoho!"
[21:41] <Celia> "What do you want? I can incinerate any of those imbeciles here." She points at the other contestants. "Seriously, like make them into everloving ash."
[21:42] <Savage> "Well, don't do that!  Nobody's gonna be getting set on fire here today," Savage responds, placing his hands on his hips.
[21:43] <Tentra> She sits down, putting the pony in her lap.  "We don't think they are going to like your actual plan.."
[21:43] <CounterBeard> Mr. Jersey's hair smolders a bit. "Man is it me or did it get hot out?"
[21:44] <CounterBeard> <Oh okay! Just call me if you need me!>
[21:44] <Rock> "Got it." Rock stands up and walks over to the beach, watching everyone... stare...
[21:45] <CounterBeard> Jersey scratches his head and shrugs. "SO! What are we gonna do!?"
[21:45] <Savage> "Hm?" Savage blinks and looks at the jerseyman.  "Hey, I just said no being on fire!  Wotter~!" and he gets another Fountain capability use directed at him, but at least this time it's from someone else.
[21:45] <Celia> "Oh, so it's a Pokémon battle? GRANT here can take care of it." A yellow G-shaped Unown floats around Celia. It has an incredibly weird yellow-black pattern, and its central eye is... A horrible insect eye!
[21:46] <CounterBeard> "Man...I thought I liked the water..But now I am not so sure..."
06[21:46] * Alexei clears his throat and begins to make an announcement from atop Niko. "We will be test candidate wi- YOU ARE VODKA MAGE TOO?"
[21:46] <Savage> "Anyway, no, it's not a Pokemon battle, actually!  I mean, I think it's pretty obvious everyone here can do th--" oh god Alexei just got loud.
06[21:46] * Rock facepalms.
[21:46] <Alexei> "...Your vodka letter much less fabulous than Tentra's though."
[21:47] <Celia> "What. I-i am no such filthy thing! I am a Dreamer of an ancient order, and the most powerful prodigy apprentice to ever leave their halls!"
[21:48] <Celia> "Wait, i wasn't supposed to say that either."
[21:48] <Tentra> Tentra bolts up, nearly dropping the pony in shock.  She returns it, releasing AEGIS and LA.  "You're a...a..?"
[21:48] <Rock> "...okay, what the heck is wrong with h- oh."
[21:48] <CounterBeard> And then All of the Meowths were out of the bag.
[21:48] <Alexei> "What, is use cheap moonshine for make letter? Should use glorious vodka of Soviet Sinnoh instead. Is no wonder letter is so ugly."
[21:48] <Celia> "Crap, and here is the writer, just as i dreamt earlier." She gives an awkward wave at Tentra. "Yeppp..."
[21:49] <CounterBeard> The rest of the assembled people just look confused.
[21:49] <Celia> "Don't all GRANT ugly! He was dreamed by the mighty Thundergod Raikou, you know that?"

[21:49] <Savage> "...?" Savage blinks, looking between Celia and the group and apparently Tentra's reacting.  "...Uh...?"
[21:49] <Celia> "In fact, he is an special Unown, given to me just because i am the best acolyte the order ever had, hooooohohohohohoho!"
06[21:50] * Rock sighs. "Hey, Savage, If you wanna play with Biter, he's over there." Rock points at the spot near the pier.
[21:50] <Tentra> She walks over slowly. "Why would the Dreamers send an acyoltye of their own?  What is this about?"
[21:51] <Tentra> (acolyte even)
[21:52] <Celia> "Awww, i wanted to go with the mysterious protagonist with hidden past route... But i was sent to send you guys to the 'right path'."
[21:52] <Alexei> "Hey! Is not time for boozemage duel! Is time for fabulous contest!" Alexei yells from his perch. "You are to make most fabulous dance for native giant coral of island perform!"
[21:53] <CounterBeard> Will just sort of stands there. "Man. Do you guys every STOP being weird?"
[21:54] <Rock> "Huh?" Rock stares at Will, STARE...
[21:54] <Tentra> "...Right," she sighs. "Good luck with that, then, Dreamer...they are very head strong, as you're about to see." She returns to her seat for now.

[21:55] <CounterBeard> Will Stares back. "Uh. We met in Estuan. At the Tryouts?"
[21:55] <Savage> "Nope, it's a pretty constant thing.  Anyway, did you get what he said?" Savage points over to Alexei.  "It'd be really easy to have you guys fight, but... You have to prove you're able to stand up to any challenge, especially around here!"
[21:55] <Rock> "Ah."
[21:55] <Rock> "Well, it's a different thing here."
[21:56] <CounterBeard> All the contestants nod to themselves "So I just need to make a dance number with some of the local water types?! I can do that!" He turns around and dives head first into the water swimming off.
[21:56] <Celia> "Ahem, i guess introductions will wait after i win this stupid contest. If it's not fight, is it beauty? Because i am sure i can win it without a con-Wait, a dance?"

[21:57] <Celia> "I'm not entering the saltwater with my dress! You can count on that, hairy boy!"

06[23:34] * Alexei returns, still atop Niko, a bit after the EMTs arrived. "Tentra, what is happen? Can vodka magic find demon?"

[23:39] <Tentra> She sighs, taking another swig from the bottle before handing it back to Alexei.  She then finds a place to sit until all this is resolved.
[23:40] <CounterBeard> "Ah. Mr. Batora. A pleasure to see you again. I hope there won't be any arrows fired this time." The cop smiles at you as he pats Biter on the head.
06[23:40] * Alexei shrugs. "Is just one demon, I am thinking. But is possess many different people." He pauses to take the bottle back, chugging nearly all of it but about a shot, then caps it and tosses it to Rico. "It is danger to go alone. Take this."
[23:41] <Rock> "Haha." Rock laughs... politely? Eh, not amused at all. "Yeah. Anyways, how's the old man?"
[23:41] <CounterBeard> Rico catches it and finishes it off. "Yeah...I guess I need some demon slaying stuff. Should look into that soon."
