  1. (*Senju, Kyojin exhales a small sigh. This guy was as stubborn as they came, but he probably wouldn't get much of another opportunity to fight him if it wasn't right here. He shrugs, bending his knees slightly as if preparing to take off.
  2.
  3. "If you thought I was fast back then, you haven't seen anything yet." he says, suddenly breaking out at a full sprint in Daichi's direction. He was curious as to how much the younger boy improved.
  4.
  5. He appears in nothing more than an orange blur, showcasing is intense speed. The gap seperating them both is closed nigh instantly, and his left leg rises just as fast in a swinging motion towards Daichi's head. He aimed to deliver a powerful kick to the front side of his face, probably with enough force to knock him back a bit should it actually hit.*)
  6.
  7.
  8.
  9. (*Kaguya, Daichi stood there with his hands in his pockets, the short shinobi watching Kyojin with a disdainful sort of look. The boy was aggressive verbally - but he'd turned his opponent into the aggressor here... and as he came forwards, the boy tried counting the seconds until he got all up in his face.
  10.
  11. "Huh."
  12.
  13. He didn't get very far. The kick smashed hard into his face, sending him on back against the mansion. Daichi's body slammed hard against it - but due to it's curvature, he went rolling across it, hiting the ground slumped down, allowing himself a moment to recover. Putting his hand on it's surface, he pushed himself back up to his feet and slid his hands on back inside his baggy bottoms...
  14.
  15. "Aiiii', s'like... when you say you real fas', what you really mean is you feel comfortable attackin' kids from the front not the back. I got'chu, I got'chu... c'mon then, I'm ready."
  16.
  17. The boy gestured for Kyojin to come forwards.
  18.
  19. "Hit me fo' real this time. What's baby taps goin' do t'me?"*)
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. (*Senju, Kyojin rolls his shoulders a bit, a widespread smirk evident upon his face. He was a little impressed to say the least - to be able to take such a strong kick and get right back up was quite something. It was that same durability he displayed the last time they fought.
  24.
  25. "..Man.. you can take a punch. --Or kick. That was just the warm-up, though!" he assures, bolting forth at the younger male once more in that same bout of quick speed. He appears in front of Daichi, fist cocked as if he were about to deliver a vicious jab, though he abruptly ducks down to extend his right leg in a sweeping fashion.
  26.
  27. He aimed to sweep him off of his feet, and if successful would use the momentum of the swing to spin around a single time, now lifting that same leg to slam down into his cranium as he fell, or as he's on the ground. Whichever came first. To the un-trained eye, it might've even appeared that his limbs shot out in a blur as he attacked.*)
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. (*Kaguya, Daichi continued to watch Kyojin, eyes studying the older shinobi for his worth, the brown flickering left and right as he worked to keep track of his high-speed movements. The shinobi was a lot larger than he was - and physically stronger to boot... and actually, he would've beat Daichi if it came to a sprinting match on top of those things - but there were advantages present within the Kaguya that Kyojin didn't possess... and the young boy was willing to bet on those.
  32.
  33. Making no efforts to dodge the first strike, he continued to stand there with his hands in his pockets, counting the times where he could extend and attack. All the while he focused on his defence, allowing himself to crumple whilst ensuring that he was strong enough to get back up. The sweep knocked him clean off his feet - and forced him to plant his hands on the ground to turn himself on over to keep his eyes on his opponent.
  34.
  35. As the finisher came down, Daichi looked Kyojin straight in the eyes - and he smiled. Not a child's smile, not a playful smirk between rivals - but a wide-eyed leer that hinted a little at what was resting in his heart of hearts. Just before the kick came down on him, there was a brief instant of killing intent focused solely on the Senju...
  36.
  37. "Ain't enough."
  38.
  39. ...and if that didn't dissuade him, the kick would strike him square in the head and force his face into the dirt - cracking the tiles beneath his tiny frame. Daichi lay there for a moment, taking his time now, slowly piecing together Kyojin's movements so far.*)
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. (*Senju, Kyojin had successfully performed his feint attack, but at what cost? The guy's bones must've been made of made of literal diamond or something similar. Kyojin was strong, but even with all of his strength it seemed as if he were doing little to no damage.
  44.
  45. As his leg is lifted into the air and was coming down, he made direct eye contact with the Kaguya, something about the aura exuding from him causing him to hesitate only slightly. His leg froze for just a few seconds, perhaps creating a small window of opportunity before he brings it down anyway, intending to do what was stated previously.
  46.
  47. Regardless if it happened or not, he hops back a bit, assuming a rather defensive looking stance. He had shown what he had to offer, and now it was Daichi's turn for the offensive. He's more than courteous enough to allow him to re-gain his composure.*)
  48.
  49.
  50.
  51. (*Kaguya, Daichi pushed himself up off the ground, rising slowly as if to let himself have room to breathe. It wasn't that the attacks hadn't hurt. They had, Kyojin could hurt him - but so far as Daichi was capable of telling... the Senju existed amongst a wide number of people who were just incapable of breaking him. The Kaguya was not just a powerful member of his clan - he was, by all rights, a prodigy of it.
  52.
  53. And boy did he know it.
  54.
  55. "You ain't bad. Like, fo' reals... I e'en kinda like the way you fight, all vicious an' shit," he said, having now stood up - wedging his finger up into his nostril to pick at it and flick the contents away, "But like... Why you e'en tryin'?"
  56.
  57. The Kaguya took a few steps forwards, tilting his head to the left, a smile on his face. He was in no rush. He had no desires to turn it into a contest of speed. His little legs couldn't keep up with Kyojin's if he wanted to - and he wasn't finished with his analysis yet, either. He needed more information to work with in order to crack the code.
  58.
  59. Putting hands on him when he attacked and impaling him wasn't good enough, he could do that to anyone - but actually finding a flaw in the older shinobi's hand to hand skills... That was worth doing. Daichi had decided it a while back. Of all the people within his generation, Kyojin was one of the very few he acknowledged as worth beating into the ground.
  60.
  61. "So, yeah. How's yo life lookin' right now?" He asked, a wide grin on his face as took a sharp step forwards.
  62.
  63. His foot moving quicker than it had rights to in order to try stomping on his opponents' to trap him there. If it worked, Daichi had every intention of swinging his fist into Kyojin's ribs, meaning to take advantage of the fact he was smaller to hit the openings in his guard - and if it failed... well, Daichi would take the foot he'd tried to pin the Senju with and spin on his standing leg to turn it into a roundhouse meant to strike the inside of his opponents' thigh.*)
  64.
  65.
  66.
  67.
  68. (*Senju, Kyojin remained idle in his stance, eyes narrowing as he passively watches Daichi. In his mind he was going through all the possible scenarios of attacks he believed would be coming his way, wondering just how he planned on dealing with them when they came. He tilts his head at Daichi as he spoke, still finding him to be as hard to understand as ever. In fact.. he couldn't really piece together what it was he went on about most of the time.
  69.
  70. That didn't matter, though - especially right here and now. He acknowledged him as someone whom he could test his limits against - a true rival even if the feeling wasn't mutual. His eyes widened and his stance became more stiff as Daichi closed in, finally taking the offensive. As Daichi's foot shot forth in an attempt to step on his own, he swiftly draws it back at the cost of taking a direct hit to his ribs. He winces, and his left hand shoots down almost instinctively to wrap around Daichi's wrist.
  71.
  72. In that same instance his right fist shoots out in the form of a straight jab, aiming to collide right into the center of his chest, and should he be successful he'd yank him in his direction as he's presumably sent back, using his grip as a leverage for a devastating right hook that threatened to send him right back to the ground. If all went according to plan of course.*)
  73.
  74.
  75.
  76. (*Kaguya, Daichi made no efforts to pull away when Kyojin caught hold of his wrist, flashing the Senju a wild and manic sort of smile. The man's fist struck him dead center in the chest - and Daichi let out a slight hiss as it did, compressing the air that might have otherwise been knocked out of it. His eyes watched his opponent all the while, keeping track of the attacks, watching for the signs that they were coming, quietly but surely compiling a feel for what Kyojin was as a combatant.
  77.
  78. When the right hook came, Daichi didn't have much room to maneuver - but he was surprisingly quick, his eyes turning to look at the fist only for him to pull his head back at the last possible moment and let it just miss. Simultaneously, Daichi coiled his small fingers around the wrist of the arm Kyojin was using to keep hold of him - his strength considerable, if by no means the equal of his opponents - so that he could use his remaining hand to begin throwing repetitive strikes directly against the man's sternum.
  79.
  80. He aimed not at the muscles in the abdomen, not at the ribs themselves - but at that sensitive spot down the middle of the ribs, just where the bones ended. A small and soft squishy spot that was a vulnerability on most people. Daichi, for all his flaws and his bizarre style of speech, was an inherently cruel child - and his decision to attack Kyojin was partially influenced by that. The other part was that he as beginning to learn how the man fought on the offensive... and now he needed to push him onto the defensive to make sense of him as a whole.*)
  81.
  82.
  83.
  84. (*Senju, Kyojin watches as his second hit is narrowly evaded, prompting him to draw it back instinctively. This wouldn't happen before Daichi procured a firm grasp along his own wrist. He had been countered by his own move! Before he could even strike, a fist was sent slamming into his sternum, causing him to cough in an abrupt manner. The strike hit home, and it left him feeling a little un-easy as he winces heavily at the second hit that was thrown in the same exact area.
  85.
  86. His teeth grit, and as the third would've came he reaches out to allow Daichi's fist to slam right into his palm as he placed a crushing grip onto it. They had each other it seems, and Kyojin abruptly lifts both arms, intending to take advantage of Daichi's exposed mid-section for the time being.
  87.
  88. His right leg suddenly shoots forth, a swift and trained kick aimed straight for the center of the boy's chest as an attempt to send him skidding along the cobble stone. If that didn't free him, he simply proceed to deliver kicks in rapid succession to various parts of his torso in order to do the trick. Should he succeed he'd make no means of followin up, simply giving himself a moment to re-gain his composure as well as think of his next move.
  89.
  90. For a frail looking little squirt, this kid seriously packed a punch.*)
  91.
  92.
  93.
  94. (*Kaguya, Daichi had the durability to resist most things - but where his bones endured, his muscles... Well, the strength of his skeleton didn't matter much - not initally, at least - but to all things the Kaguya had a work around.
  95.
  96. Kyojin was more than capable of using brute force to push the boy away - each kick rained with a thunderous might that Daichi wasn't remotely capable of matching even with all of the skills he himself possessed... and had it continued as it was, with muscle versus muscle, Kyojin would have certainly succeeded in sending the boy back.
  97.
  98. The young Kaguya focused on the hand he was using to keep hold of Kyojin's wrist, grunting with each attack he endured, using his battle awareness to isolate and concentrate on just the grip he had of the Senju.
  99.
  100. It began to slacken as he found himself being pushed back - but... by manipulating the density of the bones in his hand, by altering their shape and structure, Daichi took the flexible joints in his fingers and solidified them, changing the internal form they had into hooks that were significantly tighter and more capable at maintaining a grip than the flexibile digits he'd had a moment prior.
  101.
  102. Whilst he wasn't as strong as the Senju, Daichi's cheat codes showed him as being supremely resistant to blunt trauma - and everytime Kyojin set a foot down to kick with the other, the young Kaguya began to hammer at his shins with slower, less forceful kicks than what the athletically superior Senju could do - meaning to whittle away at his strength at his own leisure now that they were literally locked in battle.*)
  103.
  104.
  105.
  106. (*Senju, Kyojin continues to hammer away at the Kaguya's chest, kick after kick, feeling Daichi's grip lessen with each pounding blow. Suddenly that grip became much tighter, and he wasn't quite sure why - unaware of Daichi's secret ability. They were locked in combat, a test of durability it seems. After each kick he sends, he receives a kick to the shin which causes him to wince slightly.
  107.
  108. As strong as he was, Kyojin was durable as well - though by no means as sturdy as the younger Kaguya. He'd need to take a different approach, one that'd prove to produce more positive results as he wasn't getting anywhere. He lifts his leg a final time, though this time he aims to step on the offending foot with a great amount of force behind it. Regardless of his success or failure, his opposite leg lifts, bending at the knee as he shot it out towards Daichi's side whilst his attempted to free his wrist.
  109.
  110. It was a clever tactic on Daichi's part.*)
  111.
  112.
  113.
  114. (*Kaguya, Daichi widened his eyes at the incoming side kick, his smile growing ever wider. He wasn't able to really do anything about it given their proximity - but the child was as confident now as he ever was in the supremacy of his skeleton. He focused hard on his defence this time, taking things a step further than he typically did with his opponents. Having now started to manipulate his bones, the twelve year old opted to see how far he could take this without actually having to use them against Kyojin directly.
  115.
  116. His eyes having began to adjust to the techniques used by his opponent, he was able to through a mixture of raw talent and fighting smarts pick the spot that Kyojin was striking and double up the defence there - forming a wall of bone membrane around where the Senju was attacking. Simultaneously, two spears of bone shot down from his feet, stabbing through the rock and grounding him more now than he could've ever hoped for otherwise.
  117.
  118. "Up, up an' away!"
  119.
  120. As the kick came to strike at his reinforced side, Daichi clasped both hands around the wrist he'd clamped hold of - erupted into a vicious sort of laughter - and leaned himself back, bending at the knees to take the momentum from the attack and bring the Senju up and over the top of him, fully intending to smash his head into the concrete behind him.
  121.
  122. To those not aware, Daichi was something of a dickhead.*)
  123.
  124.
  125.
  126. (*Senju, Kyojin found his leg slam hard into Daichi's side, though he was quick enough to form a wall of bone before the strike even connected. Kicking that wasn't exactly the best feeling in the world, and he winces to show just that. Before he could draw his leg back, he's suddenly grabbed and lifted right up into the air over Daichi, his face headed straight for the rough cobblestone below.
  127.
  128. Thankfully he had another arm free, and it promptly extends it out to catch himself on the way down. He manages to balance himself on a single hand, suddenly turning it as he attempted to swing his body in his current odd position with his right leg nearing Daichi's face with a clear purpose.
  129.
  130. He intended for his leg to slam directly into the right side of his jaw, hopefully producing enough force to cause him to stagger back while at the same time release him.
  131.
  132. The rain continued to pelt him relentlessly, though it was oddly cooling.*)
  133.
  134.
  135.
  136. (*Kaguya, Daichi was promptly struck hard on the face, the attack boring down on him and driving him into the ground. The boy might have let go at that point had he been actively holding on - but the boy of them were connected not by a reliance on Daichi's physical strength - but by merit of his having manipulated the bones in his hand to hold the Senju's wrist like a vice. There was no give - and whilst Kyojin had worked well around it... the young Kaguya just wasn't letting go.
  137.
  138. "You ain't goin' anywhere," Daichi said, spitting blood out of his mouth, turning his head as he scrambled up to his knees - arm still stretched out, hand holding onto the Senju's wrist, "An' you'd definitely be stronger than me if I wasn't a Kaguya... but that's jus' bad luck fo' you."
  139.
  140. Using his free hand, Daichi meant to slap off the ground and propel himself up - sending a rising kick into Kyojin's ribs, meaning to drive it in as hard as he could. The boy hadn't actually ever been given a chance to fight like this. Not in recent memory, at least. There were plenty of people who were too far apart in the skill and power margin that he just couldn't do much about without making things lethal - and there were plenty of people at his level and below that he could just barrel through...
  141.
  142. ...but there was something distinctly annoying about the fact that the one person who could actually force him to work hard for a win was someone from a village that he bore a considerable contempt for. He refused to admit it internally, but somewhere in his subconscious he acknowledged that Kyojin was strong - even if he wore the wrong symbol on his person.
  143.
  144. Daichi had never quite forgiven Konoha for their conduct during the war after all.*)
  145.
  146.
  147.
  148. (*Senju, Kyojin would've been tugged right in Daichi's direction as he lands his kick, his attempts at freeing himself proving to be futile. He smirks up at Daichi.
  149.
  150. "You know.. The Senju aren't as weak as you think. We're just as sturdy as you Kaguya are." he spat back at him.
  151.
  152. Before he could even recover, a knee was sent into his chest, causing his eyes to suddenly widen. The strike was fierce, and it rattled throughout his entirety, releasing whatever air he had in his lungs at the moment right out.
  153.
  154. Almost on instinct his free hand shot out at Daichi's jaw in the form of a quick jab. He was breathing noticeably heavier, perhaps a little exhausted? Who knew. Maybe he was caught up in the heat of the battle. They were trading blow after blow, each with power some would call frightening for their age.
  155.
  156. "You're holding back, though. And so am I." he states matter of factly.*)
  157.
  158.
  159.
  160.
  161. (*Kaguya, Daichi laughed aloud at Kyojin's counter boast, the thought that anyone - Senju or otherwise - should have the same raw durability as the Kaguya leaving him... well, quite tickled to say the least. Even as the punch landed on his many times hardened jaw line he continued to laugh, even if his voice was momentarily warped by the shock of the Senju's heavy handed blow.
  162.
  163. "No, no. No. No you ain't, you jus' really really ain't, you ain't know what you sayin'... you jus'..."
  164.
  165. A hand lashed out to grab hold of Kyojin by the back of his hair, Daichi's innate aggression coming into play as he made to slam his head against the older shinobi's, showing no fear or hesitation or even the slightest sliver of doubt in it. Where most people would have cringed or flinched, Daichi just threw himself at it - a lifetime of practical invulnerability having bred in him an arrogance that was bordering on madness.
  166.
  167. "Do you see why I say what I say when I say it?" He asked, grinning.
  168.
  169. The right side of his face had changed dramatically.
  170.
  171. What skin there was, bloodied and bruised and scuffed up by the fight and the reckless way he chose to do battle - all of it had been replaced by a plated bone, a framework of mesh-like plates that provided a superior protection and served to exemplify the point he was trying to make.
  172.
  173. He chose this side of his face for a reason. He was showing Kyojin alone the power of his blood, neglecting to allow anyone else to bear witness to it - and in the same moment he had made it manifest, he was already pulling his head back in an attempt to continue battering the Senju with the same move over and over.
  174.
  175. The sad part of it was that Daichi was more than capable of supreme elegance in his fighting style... he was a Kaguya, he had dances that he could use with an expert's grace - yet... here he was, always trying to pull things into a bloody battle. Even though Kyojin was strong enough for him to make use of his powers, he was yet to come across an opponent that he wanted actually dead enough that he would make use of the prized fighting techniques of his ancestors.*)
  176.
  177.
  178.
  179.
  180. (*Senju, Kyojin grits his teeth as the boy simply ate -another- one of his punches. If they were hurting him, Daichi sure was good at hiding pain somehow. He was a little surprised by the fact that he continued to laugh even though he just took a successful punch. He punches him again and again, though the guy just kept on talking.
  181.
  182. He stops after being grabbed by the hair, his arm deciding to halt it's assault in favor of gripping at Daichi's wrist. His knuckles were bruised, as well as most portions of his torso. Once again, they had each other, leaving him no room to evade what was to come.
  183.
  184. WHAM! The sickening sound of two skulls slamming forcefully against one another could be heard throughout the square, though it was obvious Kyojin took the worst of it. He was pretty sure those stars weren't floating behind Daichi's head before. The sudden shock caused him to grunt somewhat and he watches as the side of his face transform into something he couldn't even understand. Before he knew it he's headbutted yet again, this time his eyes narrowing slightly. With each headbutt his grip would tighten around Daichi's wrist, and loosen just that much more. Slowly consciousness was beginning to slip, but the Senju fought on. He thought about using it. He -wanted- to use it, though he knew the price was high.
  185.
  186. "It's a spar.." he mumbles to himself in a convincing manner.*)
  187.
  188.
  189.
  190. (*Kaguya, Daichi just stopped. He flat out stopped, his head halfway to going for another strike, freezing all of a sudden without rhyme or reason. The grip he had on Kyojin's arm was undone as he remade the joints in his fingers, allowing him flexibility in them once again. Holding the hand up to his face, he curled each finger individually to make sure they were working as they should be.
  191.
  192. "I quit, I'm done. Ain't no poin' in this now. You got yo' fight. I'm goin' go fin' somewhere t'sleep. Y'all have a real goo' day."
  193.
  194. Truth was, what Kyojin had muttered under his breath had ticked him off. Not because he misconstrued the Senju as accusing him as having went too far - but because it occurred to the boy that... he had delved far too much into making use of his inherited powers - and had failed in his own self-set goal of besting the Senju with his martial skills.
  195.
  196. After a fashion, he felt that he had allowed the Senju to beat him by relying on the bone manipulating prowess he was so attuned with. His body ached despite it's toughness - and as he walked off, there was a slowness to it, as if his typical grace was somehow faltered. The child prodigy was a powerful one - and he was a killer, primd and ready for action... but his confidence had been shaken all the same.
  197.
  198. "Peace."
  199.
  200. And with that he was gone.*)
  201.
  202.
  203.
  204. (*Senju, Kyojin took a few staggering steps forward, falling to a knee, and then turning to lay on his back. He blinks a few times up at the sky as the rain had come back apparently. Crimson seeped from his mouth, travelling down his jaw to paint the cobblestone below. His forehead lay a horrible mess, horrible brusing and slight bleeding as well. His Gi was in pretty bad condition, though it showed no tears or rips. It was pretty obvious that he got -more- than what he bargained for in challenging the younger Kaguya.
  205.
  206. Yet, despite the brutal beating he had just received, he appeared to be smiling up at the sky. Not only was he happy with himself for not resorting to Hachimon, he was pretty thankful to have been able to finally have a real match against Daichi after all of this time. In truth, this'd be his first loss in.. a long while, though he didn't feel anger, or sadness.
  207.
  208. At that moment he decided that this wasn't going to be a one-time thing. They'd clash whenever it was appropriate for them to do so.
  209.
  210. "..Untill next fight, Daichi." he calls out after him, lifting his arm to give him a thumbs up should he glance back at him. In his mind he had lost, but perhaps gained newfound determination through it all.*)
