  2. if you like fresh from the oven bread but thought it was too much of a hassle, let me turn you onto sometghing NEW
  3.
  4. 2 hour No Kneed Bread
  5.
  6. Ingredients:
  7.
  8. 3 cups bread flour (all purpose works too)
  9. 2 teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet/7 grams)
  10. 1 teaspoon salt
  11. 1 1/2 cups hot water (up to 125ยฐ F)
  12. (about 2 Tablespoons or so of extra flour for shaping)
  13.
  14. Instructions:
  15.
  16. Combine flour, yeast and salt in a large bowl mis the dry ingrediants well then. Stir in warm water until itโ€™s well combined.
  17. (you just want to incorporate all the flour and that's it i used the handle of a wooden spoon)
  18.
  19. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  20.
  21. After 40 minutes, place a 3 to 6-quart Dutch oven with lid in a cold oven and preheat to 450ยฐ F.
  22. After the dough has rested for the hour, place it on a well-floured surface and sprinkle the top with a little flour. Using a scraper fold dough over 10-12 times & shape into a rough ball.
  23. (I did this on the sheet of parchment paper and gathered up the ends and set it in the bowl)
  24.
  25. Place in a parchment paper-lined bowl and cover with a tea or hand towel or another bowl. Let stand on counter top for 15 minutes.
  26.
  27. After 15 minutes, carefully, using oven gloves, gather the edges and lift the parchment paper and dough from the bowl and place gently into the hot pot. (parchment paper goes in the pot too) Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  28. (I pulled the dutch oven frand set it on the stove top to do this ad set it back in the oven to bake.
  29.
  30. After 30 minutes, remove lid and parchment paper. Return, uncovered, to oven and bake 10 more minutes.
  31. This makes the crust golden and yummy.
  32.
  33. using oven mits, pull the pot from the oven and remove loaf set on cooling rack wait as long as you can tel cooled but i HAD to cut into it while it was still warm
  34.
  35. Notes:
  36. This reminds me of a sweet french bread (As opposed to sourdough)f the crust is plyable and goes well with a bowl of soup or with butter. the interior or 'crum' is full of pilowy air bubbless that makes for a vert tender and tasth loaf.
  37.
  38. This is one of the best quick yeast breads i have ever made, and i have been baking off and on for over 45 years
  39. Try this remember to sift your flour first then spoon it into your measuring cup level with a knife and add to your bread mixing bowl
  40. use Fresh Yeast i used active dry yeast NOT bread machine yeast it tends to overproof.
  41.
  42. You can NOT make this with regular bread loaf pans you must use a sealed container like a dutch oven or corningware glass baking dish with a lid. The idea is the lid keeps the steam inside and gives it the unique properties this breas has.
  43.
  44. Once you see just how EASY this is to make you won't want to buy store brand breas ever again it's so easy you can make it every day.
  45. (Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread)
  46.
  47. Please let me know what you think and how yours came out.
  48. --Rick
