- Welcome to how to get rid of your Nav Bar 101
- What is the Nav Bar?

- Honestly, they look pretty bad and can take up a whole lot of space which you could use to be more creative with your space while ricing.
- Now, as for how to get rid of it, first and foremost you need to be ROOTED and have access to your Build.Prop (Located at /system/build.prop). Included is a link to build.prop Editor which is a fantastic little app that puts you right where you need to be and brings up a list of every component of your current build.prop. At the bottom right there is a little pencil icon, click it and go right to the bottom of the text and add the line "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1", you will have to reboot before anything takes effect so don't be alarmed if nothing happens right off the bat, just don't reboot yet or there will be issues.

- BEFORE YOU REBOOT!!!
- I've included a link to an app called Swipe Navigation, which you will NEED unless you are planning to use some other app to replace your Nav Bar in which case install that before you reboot. Swipe Navigation does all the same things your Nav Bar did but with gestures (swiping up from the bottom left goes back, swiping up from the middle goes to your home screen, and swiping up on the right will bring up your in use or recent apps). You will need something to use in place of your Nav Bar so DO NOT skip this step.

- All done, enjoy an extra 10% space at least on every screen, plus your ricing looks a lot more neat without it.
