  4. [2012-08-04 17:22:10] * Clipped_Cantle sighs and glances at the door to the cargo hold, then back to the rest of the group. "So... Blast's doing the talking, right? Least at first?"
  5. [2012-08-04 17:22:58] * Blastwave gathers the group together. "Yes, i'll be talking first. Uh, i'll ask you don't interupt me, please. I have a plan. And when have my plans ever gone wrong?"

  12. [2012-08-04 17:25:56] * Blastwave shrugs, "You're allowed to come in and glare. And if this doesn't work you get to yell at her!"

  18. [2012-08-04 17:29:39] * Blastwave slowly opens the door in a dramatic fashion to prolong it. He starts humming 'my litle intervention'
  19. [2012-08-04 17:30:40] * Clipped_Cantle nuzzles Moonlight`s_Shimmer's wing and takes a deep breath to calm herself. She wanted to yell so bad... probably wouldn't work, though.

  23. [2012-08-04 17:34:59] * Clipped_Cantle looks up at Moonlight`s_Shimmer and manages a small smile, then follows Blast and Kirengo.

  25. [2012-08-04 17:35:41] * Precious is laying on her side motionless. Only rise rise and fall of her chest indicated she was even breathing. She looked completely lifeless otherwise. Ginger sat nearby, whining sympathetically. She takes up a defensive stance when the others move in, but doesn't make any noise this time.
  26. [2012-08-04 17:36:44] * Blastwave walks past the dog, nods at the ponies behind him to close the door, and unties precious. "I am sorry about that." he throws the ropes away. "But Moon was about to shoot you, so I figured it was a better option. How're you feeling?"

  28. [2012-08-04 17:37:36] * Clipped_Cantle thinks Moon is wrong, because she is standing next to the alicorn.

  30. [2012-08-04 17:38:56] * Kirengo steps in and heads off to the side of the room, where he sits down and leans against the wall.
  31. [2012-08-04 17:39:12] * Precious doesn't move. She doesn't even take any action as her bonds are removed. Shey just lays there, defeated. She doesn't make even the slightest motion to look at the pony talking to her.
  32. [2012-08-04 17:40:19] * Blastwave kneels down beside Precious, "What? have you given up already?"
  33. [2012-08-04 17:41:47] * Precious remains motionless. "...gone."
  34. [2012-08-04 17:42:16] * Blastwave nods slowly, "That was almost a sentence. Speak to me precious."
  35. [2012-08-04 17:43:57] * Precious still doesn't move. "All gone anyways. What do you care?"
  36. [2012-08-04 17:45:12] * Blastwave watches precious carefuly the corners of his ghoulified face twitch involuntarily. "Because i hate to see ponies like this? Because I know what you're feeling and want to help? because I don't want you to throw your life away?"
  37. [2012-08-04 17:45:38] * Precious stirs just a little. "Not much left to discard."
  38. [2012-08-04 17:47:24] * Blastwave smirks, "You still have a home, freinds that care about you, and a job to do."
  39. [2012-08-04 17:47:52] * Precious snorts; "When did any of you start caring about -me-? I'm dead weight and you know it."
  40. [2012-08-04 17:48:17] * Clipped_Cantle opens her mouth to speak, but quickly shuts it and turns her head to press her muzzle into Moonlight`s_Shimmer's neck, frowning.
  41. [2012-08-04 17:49:17] * Blastwave thinks this is not turning out how he was planning, "You have a job and you do it amiably. You're not a fighter, but that doesn't mean you're 'dead weight'."
  42. [2012-08-04 17:49:37] * Moonlight`s_Shimmer tucks Clipped's head into the crook of her neck and keeps her wing draped around her
  43. [2012-08-04 17:50:31] * Precious rolls to face the ceiling. "I can't help anypony. I can't save anypony. I'm a scavenger. A vulture. All I've ever been good at is picking clean the carcasses of societies that have been destroyed already."
  44. [2012-08-04 17:52:19] * Blastwave is not sure what precious thinks every society for the past two hundred years have been doing too. "Well then you have three options. Learn to use your abilities to help ponies. Learn to fight. Or let yourself die without trying."
  45. [2012-08-04 17:55:32] * Precious continues to stare at the ceiling. "Why? What good will it do now? What's the point? I've already lost. Myself, my childhood home, my family, my friends. And that stupid naivity I used to live by."
  46. [2012-08-04 17:57:35] * Clipped_Cantle grumbles and presses her muzzle into Moonlight`s_Shimmer's neck, biting her lip to keep silent.

Everything that was once familiar was burned up in balefire, and I'm left to wander an unknown world confused dead and blind. But still I press on, because though I migh be dead, I'm not dead /enough/ and I can still make a difference. I understand it hurts precious, but when has giving up done anything?"
  48. [2012-08-04 18:00:40] * Precious rolls to bring Blastwave into view. A ghoul... burned, disfigured, stripped of home, friends and family. Were she a more vain pony, Precious would claim the advantage of still having her looks, but that really didn't seem like an asset in the face of war. Neither did her ability to haggle or speak or finding and hiding things.
  49. [2012-08-04 18:02:33] * Blastwave doesn't think it'd take a vain pony to be glad they didn't look like a ghoul. "Yeah, shit goes wrong, but that doesn't mean you should roll over and let it. What's the point in that? The world sucks, but that's no excuse to give up and let it get worse when you even have the small chance at making it better."

  54. [2012-08-04 18:11:38] * Precious shakes her head; "All of you have something to offer that actually means something. A demolitionist, frightening magical power, a brawler and a warrior-medic-mechanic. What do I have? Some useless gimmicks and the ability to sort trash really well."
  55. [2012-08-04 18:12:52] * Blastwave "Were you not there a few days ago when 'sorting trash' helped us loot the raptor and save who knows how many lives?"

  59. [2012-08-04 18:19:42] * Clipped_Cantle pulls her head out of Moonlight`s_Shimmer's neck and nuzzles her. then hugs the alicorn's neck.

  62. [2012-08-04 18:22:56] * Blastwave stares blankly. "Well with that attitude." he pauses. "You're aware your 'finding' junk netted me a lot of explosives, the same ones I used to defend against the alicorns right?" That was partially true.

  66. [2012-08-04 18:26:18] * Blastwave "What the fuck? First you say you're no help, when I prove you help you now say helping is wrong?" he looks over at Kirengo, "Yes?"
  67. [2012-08-04 18:26:54] * Clipped_Cantle sighs and hugs Moonlight`s_Shimmer's muzzle and nuzzles her horn.

  70. [2012-08-04 18:30:04] * Clipped_Cantle closes her eyes and manages to restrain herself from glaring at Precious. She nudges Moonlight`s_Shimmer toward the door. "Come on, Moon..."

  72. [2012-08-04 18:31:44] * Kirengo shakes his head. Call him and his friends murderers when she was the one that started the fight in the first place... He pushes himself up off the wall and walks for the door behind the others.

  75. [2012-08-04 18:35:47] * Precious looks up at Moonlight; "You wouldn't let me do what I wanted to do. All I ever wanted to do was help those less fortunate than me. Now there's nothing I can do. We're all lost and stuck at the bottom, every one of us."
  76. [2012-08-04 18:36:58] * Kirengo blinks back at Precious then looks back up at Moon. "C'mon, Moon. She's just going to lay there. She isn't going to go out and get herself killed."
  77. [2012-08-04 18:39:09] * Clipped_Cantle can't stop herself from glaring at Precious this time. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to? Huh? Do you not remember the speech I gave the very first fucking day we met? Helping ponies is what I'm all about, but you can't do that if you run off and get yourself killed! You can't do that if you just lie here in the fucking boat, either. You think you're the only one who's lost...

However we will point out that you running out there was reckless and stupid, and we are upset that you did not do as we asked and wait for us to get done talking.   83. [2012-08-04 18:42:42] * Precious tilts her head back to Moonlight. She too had suffered loss. A family; countless sisters and her mother. Wait... she had actually gotten through to the alicorns? That part of events seemed fuzzy; she remembered talking a lot, then passing out. Also... "Robin Hoof... I know that story."

I watched my marefriend die in my hooves because she I got in a stupid argument with her and she stormed off and ran into a bunch of raiders. I had to watch the light fade from her fucking eyes because I wasn't a good enough medic to save her. Did I fucking cry over it? Yes. Did I fucking run off to get myself...

That does not mean they sit around and cry about it like you." she holds Clipped_Cantle to her chest "Trying to save your friend is a pointless idea. He is beyond saving for now. What you can do is help make it so that others do not endure the same fate." she is obviously mad

To know that... because I was lying here in a puddle of pity, somepony else just lost somepony...

Lying here in the cargohold isn't going to do shit but let somepony you /could/ have helped die." She looks at Kirengo and nods, the to Moonlight`s_Shimmer. "Let's go, Moon."

Except Kirengo's words; he was just a prick who didn't know how to do anything other than cause conflict as far as she could tell. Moonlight, Cantle, Blastwave... they had all lost a lot it seemed. They understood... better than she did at least.

She had seen Moonlight's progress after the loss of her sisters... she seemed to be having difficulties... but she was trying wasn't she? Trying... more than she could say. What would she find if she actually tried...

"Need you to.. lie on your back." She moves to help Fish do so.

They are in a narrow area at the bottom of a short flight of stairs, lit up by a few spark~lamps and there's two doors to their right and one to their left with one straight ahead, leading to the captain's room.

She debates just pouring a healing potion down the mare's throat before she dies... incorrectly set ribs can be fixed later... they'll have to turn around though... can't do that here... but that could... that's a gamble... a really bad gamble... she shakes her head and tries setting the ribs once more... COME ON!
  604. [2012-08-05 02:38:48] <Zeph|GM> %C3In her final attempt, Clipped_Cantle manages to set Fish Stick's ribs perfectly despite her shaking hooves. As she applies the potion to the grievous wound, the torn and damaged flesh knits back together, as well as the bones healing and fusing back into the positions they should be.

She looks up and over to she pasted pirate she had impaled, before dropping her head back down on the blood-covered deck with a small splishing sound, breathing heavily.

  612. [2012-08-05 02:46:23] * Clipped_Cantle lifts Fish and carries her down to the crew quarters to gently deposit her on a bed, then heads back to the pilothouse to take control of the boat, gesturing for Moonlight`s_Shimmer to follow on the way.

There are several pony carcases in other cells, one of them decorating the far wall and the room smells of rot, salt-water, blood and death.

She's so stunned by this that she doesn't even react to the pain of the alicorn's wings touching her bandaged and burned face, and smiles. "...thanks, Moon. Love you." She plants a small kiss on the mare's lips, wincing a little, then turns...

"You might want to go check on Blast and Kirengo. See if you can't get the other boat stopped so we can stop this one and drop anchor for the night... Fish can't drive in her condition, and we need sleep."
  662. [2012-08-05 03:24:23] * Moonlight`s_Shimmer nods and sniffles "It will be done." she wipes some of her tears away with a wing and heads over to the other boat, casting light and looking for wherever it is Kirengo/Blastwave or some mechanism to stop the boat is
  663. [2012-08-05 03:24:32] * Kirengo murmurs, "Of course she's injured, she was being held by raiders," very quietly before slowly stepping into the cell, staying at the far side of it. He looks over at the mare. "We have food. And water. And a medic. It's all on our boat."

  709. [2012-08-05 03:52:04] * Kirengo exits the room once again. He could shuffle through all the junk when he had confirmed the ship was empty. He walks down the hallway and enters the captain's room.
  710. [2012-08-05 03:53:11] * Clipped_Cantle winces and pulls a healing potion from her bags. They were going to need more potions soon, but she couldn't /not/ give this mare one... not like this. She cradles the unconscious mare's head in a hoof and gently pours the potion down her throat.
