Reknar Character Background

Reknar was a servant of Zagishi Trerre, an immigrant of the Mao-Lik Empire who came to the Cymerian Realm because it was much easier to do business there. He wasloud and boisterous, but he had the work ethic to prove it. He quickly rose to the top, buying and selling metals and other precious minerals, and soon he was wealthy enough to own several servants. This was where Reknar, who was being sold by his previous owner for being too rough on the other servants, came in.

Reknar was born a hybrid of his mother's Orcish blood and his master's human blood. The rest of the his servants were of pure Orc blood, though, and that pureness is what the master, Dhughas, desired most. So, as a young boy, he was bullied by each one of the other servants in many ways until he was almost completely obedient to their whims. Internally, though, he still had the ferocity of an orc of pure, untainted blood, though. After the age of fifteen, he snapped, and with an anger he never displayed before, started beating up the servants that were ridculing him on his handiwork. He became more and more destructive until a few months later, when Dhughas finally called it quits and put Reknar on the auction block.

That is how Zagishi and Reknar met each other. Zagishi knew exactly what he was getting into, but he had the naivety of this being his first bought servant. It didn't matter, though, because at that time he was being outhanded by a rival merchant, and needed someone to rough him up. Reknar was bought for a cheap price, and seeing that Zagishi needed him for his more destructive abilities instead of the boring work that he had been doing before, he relented and followed his new master's orders.

Reknar proved to be very good at roughing up the people that needed to be, using the "tactics" that the other orcs had used when they were beating him up. He knew how to corner, to back someone in a wall and keep them there. There was no way an average person could escape his grip after that, and he relished having the opportunity to beat up as many people as was required. This made him one of Zagishi's best servants for getting othe rmerchants under control, and thus, Zagishi profited from the lack of competition that stemmed.

When the envelope came for Zagishi, he was originally going to bring his best all-around servant, Shret, an oracle who excelled in the traditional servant duties. However, he soon found out that his biggest competitor would be attending the party as well. Being almnost completely elusive, he knew this was the best time to try to destroy the man forever. So instead of Shret, he brough Reknar to the party. Even though he hated dressing up fancy and being polite, he had someone to beat up there. That was probalby worthwhile.
