  1. After that little disaster, Victoria decided to stop exploring and just head to the gym to get things over with. She got a little lost on the way, but thankfully Striaton wasn't too big- She found the gym before too long. It was in a big square, and some kind of gathering seemed to be happening in the center, but Victoria didn't really care. She knew what she was here for- The Gym.
  2.
  3. Well, it was less a gym and more a restaraunt. She could see one of the Gym leaders - The green-haired one with the weird eyes - standing outside at a podium under an awning. As she approached, he nodded a greeting to her. "Welcome to Striaton City Gym! My name is Cilan, and I'll be helping you today. Do you have a reservation, Miss?"
  4.
  5. Victoria fumbled with her words as she got off her bike. "I... No, I don't?" She'd never even been to a fancy restaraunt before. Nor did she really peg herself as the type, really, with what she was wearing. She was pretty sure she smelled like forest, too...
  6.
  7. "Oh, that's a shame." Cilan said, scratching the back of his head. "All of our tables are full up for the moment, if that's the case."
  8.
  9. "I, uh..." Victoria tried to think of what she was trying to say as she folded her bike. "I mean, I'm not here for-"
  10.
  11. "At Striaton Gym, we pride ourselves on giving our guests an exemplary experience with both battles and buffets," Cilan said with a smile, though Victoria could kind of tell this was some kind of trained response, more or less.
  12.
  13. "Alright, I guess..." Victoria sighed. "I mean, I guess I'll just wait. I don't have anything else to do." Victoria looked around at the square, once again looking at the large crowd that had gathered in the square. "I, uh. I hope that's not the lineup," She said, jokingly. Now that she looked at it, they had quite a few signs plastered with slogans she couldn't quite make out from this angle... - Hey, if this was actually the line, she'd be rioting too. A few of the people in the crowd were even looking this direction.
  14.
  15. "Oh, no. That's just the Plasma rally," Cilan said, in somewhat of a defeated manner.
  16.
  17. "The what." Victoria and Magnolia said flatly, in unison.
  18.
  19. "The Plasma rally. You know, those Pokemon Rights activists?" Cilan shrugged. "They've been having these weekly meetings, and they keep talking about stuff like how Pokemon battling is evil, and how we should all release our Pokemon - Right in front of the gym, too. I think they did that on purpose,"
  20.
  21. "I, uh." Victoria stammered, now a bit wigged out. "They don't, uh, get violent, do they?"
  22.
  23. "Huh? Oh, no. They just listen to the guy in the robes talk for a while, and then disperse. Don't worry, they don't really harass us here at the gym." Cilan explained.
  24.
  25. "Oh. Good." Victoria said. "You know what'd be great is if you had any open tables right now are you sure you don't have any open tables?"
  26.
  27. "Um," Cilan stammered somewhat taken aback. "I'm sorry, all of the tables are booked at the moment-"
  28.
  29. "You know what I don't need a table i can eat while standing hahahaha!" Victoria said, grabbing Cilan by the shoulders and ushering him in front of her. Oh, god, were they looking at her? Victoria really didn't feel like getting mobbed today!
  30.
  31. "Uh," Cilan fumbled, alarmed and confused and unsure what to really do in the event of some weird forest-smelling girl grabbing him. "Please let go of me,"
  32.
  33. "Oh okay I'll just hide here," Victoria said, ducking under the server's podium.
  34.
  35. Cilan just looked at her, further baffled. She could hear him sigh in defeat. "For one?"
  36.
  37. "For one," Victoria repeated in affirmation.
