  1. >O Luna, so oft scorned by Ponykind,
  2. >Who slept and cowered through thy precious night,
  3. >How didst thou keep thy kindly state of mind,
  4. >When for your care they gave thee naught but fright?
  5. >But then at last thy anger did prevail,
  6. >Thy visage chang'd, now blackened, beauty hewn,
  7. >And Sister forced to cleave thy nightly veil,
  8. >With Harmony to banish Nightmare Moon.
  9. >Alack, one thousand years of you depriv'd,
  10. >Thy name to one of whispered legend turned.
  11. >Imagine my delight when thou arrived,
  12. >On Summer Sun's rise, thy beauty returned.
  13. >To have thee back, dear Luna, sorrow's gone,
  14. >Forsooth, it warms the heart of this, Anon.
