- As our male florges accdietently slept, a female florges float above the fountain.
- A florges with white snow-like bush wrapped around her neck with yellow flowers planted on each spot on the bush, in addition, she wears a white ribbon wrapped on her shoulder to the waist, along with a painted blue word that tried to spelled "Mayor" but spelled "Myer" instead, float on top of the plaza's fountain.
- She stood proudly with a big grin on her face showing some enthusiasm in front of a sea of Florges.
- "Ahem" She cleared her throat and stood like a proud leader.
- Noone heard her. The mayor smile disappears. She tried again.
- "AHEM"
- She stood back like she did previously.
- Still nothing. Her forhead started to squish. She does it once more.
- "AHEM!!!" She almost screamed through her throat causing it to feel scratched. She grabbed her neck by the aching pain as her left eye twitched, 'ARGHH!!! WHY DIDN"T I JUST YELL AT THEM?! WHY I DIDN"T I JUST YELL AT THEM?!," She repeat the same questions in her head over and over until the pain starts to settle itself.
- The Mayor dive into the fountain's water, grabbed the water with her hands, and took a good long sip until she gasps for air.
- The Mayor regretted clearing her throat, but it was worth it since the whole community have finally acknowledged her appearance turning the plaza into a library-like silences.
- All eyes on her. Everyone stood there looking at their dripped mayor.
- The mayor awkwardly, and embarrassingly, float above the three layer cascading fountain.
- 'I hope everyone forget about this...' The mayor muttered to her self only when she failed to realized a photographer tooked a perfect shot of their mayor with the camera.
- As the photographer shaked the photo it revealed the image of the town's miserable wet mayor. The photographer felt her spines tingled with glee.
- "Well, well, well, looks like I could see my upcoming newspaper will skyrocket for this picture," The photographer snickered to her self as she slowly slithered her way through the crowd while carrying a mischievous smug.
- As the mayor float back on top of the fountain and looked at the crowd.
- "um...hehe, sorry about that," the mayor embarrassingly chuckled, while the community just stared at her.
- "...Anyway," the mayor finally started her speech.
- "We are here gathered together on this specific day, in which we all been waiting for all these months of winter," all the florges slowly leaned forward. "I am proud to present our 13th anniversary of our favorite 'event'..." The crowd held their breath just by hearing that word, while the mayor is pleased by the aura of tension.
- "Ladies, I here by officially announced our event..."Floran Spring Festival!!"
- Just after the announcement the plaza is filled with joyful screams roared through the plaza's hallways, Florges were hugging their friends, the excitement was powerful, so powerful it has finally awaken our protagonist.
- "Auggh!!!" He starteled himself as he covered his head by the powerful aura of screams.
- The mayor raised her hand, in signaled the community slowly quite itself.
- " Now, that we officially announce our event, let's also announce our plans for this Floran Spring Festival".
- Stem sighed as he was disappointed that the announcement has started already. "Well, I could at least expect what's going on in the festival this spring"
- The mayor took out a paper out of her snow-like hedges and started reading out loud. "On the day of our festival starts: we will be having a stage play," The community ooed "about a Galled who is a female who falls in love with a male gallade,"
- Stem's eye were wide opened as it caught his attention.
- "but she realized, the community she lives in, sees gallade as a male, and since she's a Galled her self she knows the community will accuse them being gay, if they were together".
- Usually, Stem always ignored stage plays every year mainly because, his mom always get a little TOO excited on attending a stage play she always complained that the universe are preventing her to be a star and even she did become an actress it's usually bad and quite annoying with her voice as it sounds nothing like a character from a script but more sounded like a person reading off from the script with no effort into it, It's also not his type of taste either, but this...this slowly intrigues him.
- "As our second plan..."
- Stem ignored everything what the mayor was saying and more on thinking about the play.
- "Female Gallade, a masculine species that everyone sees, is in love with a male Gallade, huh?" Stem thought for the longest time until the announcement was over.
- As the Florges were about to leave the plaza the mayor immediately remembered something.
- "Oh! I almost forgot!" The crowd immediately halted by the mayor's voice.
- "Be sure to visit the Plaza's fortune teller shop for those are willing to sign up for the stage play, that is all".
- Stem was caught off guard. "The fortune telling shop," Stem muttered to himself.
- The Fortune telling shop was his favorite spot than ANYTHING in the plaza, he would go there and talk to this weird hypno women, named Eris, that speaks his or everyone's future. She always have these strange items displayed everywhere in the shop and in front of the window, he would go ask Eris on how she predict everyone's future, or help her out with the display, even sometimes visits her house for dinner (When he and mom forgot to find some berries), he doesn't know way he loved that shop so much, but it has something about how friendly Eris was, despite the reputations that Hypnos has when it comes to kids or hypnotizing people.
- May I repeat 'was'. He haven't been visiting the shop since Eris tries predicting his future for the sixth time, which confuses her wondering it was just her self playing tricks on her, thus making him feel uncomfortable and not as quite safe as he remembered visiting the shop, and ever since he felt uncomfortable he tries to distance himself, worrying Eris might expose his true gender, for months until winter came.
- Stem sighed as he felt saddened on what he has done to Eris over the months. He knew this was wrong of him to do this to someone. He wanted some motivation to enter her shop and ask for forgiveness. Now, he finally has.
- "Eris, I'm coming for you-" Stem was interrupted by his mother as she pulled him off from his napped spot.
- "Come on, sweety! We have to get to Eris's spot!" Stem's mother exclaimed.
- "M-mom, wait! She doesn't open until noon starts!" Stem tried telling her, but his mother was in the rush that she couldn't here her son.
- "We got to get there before anyone does! I hope she opens when I come!"
- As our beloved son and mother zoomed through the hallways, Stem was already onease on his stomach.
- "I hope she isn't open on early days," He prayed in thought.
