  1. Wargames: Red Dragon would be a perfect game... if it wasn't for this absurd "balance" that eugeun uses. As the factions ATM is lopsided and generally favor bluefor to high hell and back.
  2.
  3. Out of the ... say 1750~ units that are ingame, you may as well see 100 at best due to the current meta of faction balance. This game is balanced around coalitions (solo nations grouped together with an other nations) and generally speaking these solo nations are not in the slight bit playable (with the exception of the USA/USSR, since they are "superpowers"). So if your gonna use say South Korea, your gonna get screwed ingame due to the balancing of coalitions, you can try your damned best but you will be at a distinct disadvantage and will get screwed over by someone who can fill his nations holes by utilizing a coalition. So you are generally forced into coalitions with no free will if you wish to stay competitive
  4.
  5. Lets talk about the new factions, cause you will never see them... like at all in competitive play
  6.
  7. *Com. China and North Korea are added into the game on Redfor, this should be a very interesting settup since we have a china that was for a short time armed by western imports and modernizing into a new superpower of today and NK with some unique (APCs with STRELA launchers/utilization of old tech (from BTR-60s to modern day BTR-80A and T-90s) to a unique advantage. Ingame thats the complete opposite, they generally will not best the current situation where the Eurocorp and scandi can lobside there troops, armor and equipment. Not only that, DLC 3 inclueded "Soviet-Korean Alliance" so while NK gets a new chance at life, china is currently stuck with inferior equipment (compared to others) and inferior weapons. So why bother?
  8.
  9. *On the flip side: SK/Japan and ANAC were added to bluefor (SK and Japan are a coalition together, while ANZAC is obv put into commonwealth). Blue dragons is essentially "US light" (similar stastic units with very familar US units in there), which already makes them inferior in spirit, generally they're infantry is very poor (stastically the worst then the game. The US are the worst regular rifle-infantry in the game, SK and Japan are even worse may I add) and since Scaninavia (yea they get more units in a game that is set in south east Asia, Scandi and East block are given extra units. Yet the new factions are not, that doesn't sound right does it?) has generally superior equipment for around the same avail. Why bother?
  10.
  11. Also ATM, since DLC 3 released (the scandinavian one) the current meta favors HEAVILY in BLUFOR/NATO, the current situation is that either you use Eurocorp (Germany and france)/Scandinavia (Denmark/sweden/Norway) due to having generally superior infantry and weapons then any of the bluefor coalitions and the U.S. Sometimes due to having magical unicorn units that eugen believes is fine for balancing (news flash, nations centered around 3 units are generally not a good). While on the flip side you will only face the USSR/Soviet Korean alliance, because there infantry similar E-block (supposed to have superior infantry, but atm is generally the same) and has no real holes TBH, they can do anything fine and the most common nation on red side...
  12.
  13. Then the games gameplay, the most important addition was naval, however you will never find it a great addition and is generally ignored. The current game meta is if you cant break through something? Artillery spam (cluster arty works the best alongside bs mortars) or plane spam (spam so many planes you cant have your AA target the right plane), so instead of a WW3, your just refighting 1914 again and its gets boring really quick after 5 mins.
  14.
  15. The community is toxic, "warchat" as I call it, Is filled with so much nonsense that not enough words could describe it.
  16.
  17. Avoid this game, while it maybe fun, it gets real old real quick and is just boring in the end...
