  1. greetings
  2. Jan 12, 2010 – 1:52pm
  3. Isn't Love what we ALL look for? ultimately; everything else is secondary. It is nice that you admit it and say it straight, as it is.
  4.
  5. You have beautiful eyes

  21. Hi Emily,
  22.
  23. How are you?
  24. I am well, but a bit down and overwhelmed with the task I am facing: upholstering my foam cushions for my sofa project - I am in way over my head.
  25. *******
  26. There was a gentle pull to respond that made me email you. It is a good question...
  27.
  28. I liked how you said that you were looking for Love - to put it like that - innocent.
  29. I really liked your photos. I liked how you're not forcing a smile - just your natural self, and enjoyed gazing and being with you that opened up a Still place and my mind went quiet.
  30. I also saw that you put Honest first as one of your three headers. This tells me that you value Truth and that is very important to me...

  36. Hi Conrad,
  37.
  38. A good answer I think. Can I ask how old your child is?
  39. Are you a londoner born and bred?
  40. Where in London are you based?

  46. Good Morning Emily,
  47.
  48. Raphael will be 8 in March.
  49. No, I am not a Londoner. I was born in Berlin. So, I am a Berliner! Apparently all free people are :)
  50. However, my father is Spanish and I eventually spent 6 years growing up in France also before coming to England.
  51. How about you? You say you come from a small town near Cambridge originally, but I didn't think you looked as though your parents came from England originally themselves.
  52. I reside in Gospel Oak (nw5)

  58. Hi Conrad,
  59.
  60. My mother is British and my father is Jamaican. So what bought you to London?
  61. Is Raphael in London, do you see him often?

  67. Hi Emily,
  68.
  69. That's a nice cocktail. I would've never guessed. I was thinking of Cyprus or something Mediterranean like that on account of your features and olive-looking skin...
  70.
  71. Raphael lives with his mother who moved to Brighton, so, no I do not see him often enough. Every other weekend at the moment.
  72.
  73. I came to England about 20 years ago to finish my formal education. I'm wondering what will take me back out of England again :)
  74.
  75. It's really nice that you responded to my email. You asked me what made you email you. Can I ask you what made you reply, besides the fact that emailed you of course.
  76.
  77. Kind Regards,
  78.

  86. Hi Conrad,
  87.
  88. A lot of people thing I look Mediterranean. It's a bit strange if I go to those countries as people expect me to speak the language :)
  89.
  90. I replied to your email because you are attractive and I like that you wrote about winnie the pooh in your profile :) You also said about hanging out listening to music and reading. Plus I think you mention walking on the Heath, I assumed Hamptead! One of my favourite places in London.
  91.
  92. So what do you usually spend your free time doing? Anything fun planned for this weekend? What types of films do you enjoy?

  98. Hi Emily
  99.
  100. Well, don't you wish you were in a Mediterranean country today?
  101. I'm finding it hard to get going today. I've enjoyed the snow but I'm ready for some global warming :p
  102.
  103. Thank you for your compliments - you're very kind and I'm glad you like the Pooh excerpt. It made me go and re-read it and I still like it as much as I did first time.
  104.
  105. No plans here, what about you? Do you play the drums by the way? I noticed a kit in the back ground of one of your photos. I see you playing the Cello or a wind instrument.
  106. I've borrowed a sewing machine to make covers for my sofa cushions, but I've never sewn in my life and I'm not making progress, although I did set that as my primary thing to get done this weekend.
  107.
  108. I don't have a 'usual' for my free-time. I thought it would be nice to go and take some dance lessons - anything - Tango, Salsa Waltz! It's not a New Years resolution as such, but I just thought it would be nice.
  109.
  110. I love all kind of films; I really do. One of my guilty pleasures is waking up and first thing watching a film that I've downloaded that I've had in mind to see or now ready and in the mood for. I also love not knowing what a film is about at all and being completely and pleasantly surprised and transformed in the process of discovery. District 9 had that effect on me. I miss big epics like Lawrence of Arabia and Once Upon A Time in America; something to really settle into and engrossed by. Is it me, or they don't make many films like that any more? Lord of the Rings I suppose was the most recent one I can think of a bit like that. I can enjoy a mindless Hollywood action escape and a deeply emotionally engaging art film/drama. I enjoy comedies and romantic comedies a lot. It is healthy for me to laugh, I don't do it enough, it wakes up the lighter side of my being and Joy and tenderness in my heart. He's just not that into you was an unusual and different take of the genre. Written and directed by a woman-go figure. I also like foreign films, especially French, or Spanish films to learn and practice my languages.
  111. Mostly I download movies now though and catch up that way, however, every now and then there is something that I have to see on the big screen. I'm itching to see Avatar at the Imax in 3d. I wanted to take Raphael but not sure they'd let him in. It is a 12. Funny, when he was younger there was nothing he wouldn't watch. Pirates of the Carribean was nothing - and I'd worry a little in fear of traumatizing him or something. Now he'll tell me if he thinks he is too young for something.
  112.
  113. Ok, Emily, hope you're having a good weekend; recovering or discovering. I look forward to hearing from you. What is Happyeep? I get "Happy" but was wondering about eep? :)
  114.
  115. Warm Regards

  120. Hi Conrad,
  121.
  122. I don't mind the cold to much but the snow is annoying after two days :)
  123. My weekend was spent with friends sat and sunday having sunday lunch. I do play the drums but not well and I no longer own a kit :(
  124.
  125. I love films too. Avatar was great, I would take him its a 12A so aslong as he's with a parent he'll get in. But then sometimes I don't see the harm in films other people see. Is he easily upset?
  126.
  127. Happyeep is just a kind of nickname, no real meaning e for emily another because i like to use 2 :) and then you almost have eep a little sound you make instead of a loud one lol.

  129. How was your weekend?

  135. Dear Emily,
  136.
  137. It is nice to hear from you again. I was afraid you were swept off your feet by a beau never to be seen again!
  138.
  139. Funny, of the two it is the cold I dislike more. Snow is fun and it is beautiful. Agreed, not first thing on the way to work negotiating the ice and then slushing through black snow perhaps. But in nature - it transforms it, exults it. I have some pictures I took with my mobile camera on flickr. If you google conradlinde or livingdaylight you should find my page.
  140.
  141. You've already seen Avatar! Thanks for the encouragement. I was in some doubt but will go ahead and see it with Rafi. I'd say he doesn't upset easily. I think we as a society are too frigid if that is the right word (probably not) when it comes to children in that area. Children are honest and can take things as they come much more than they are given credit for. But we condition them with fantasies, stories and cover-ups.
  142. They are psychically wide open and it is nice to preserve that innocence too and let them develop naturally over time, imo. I feel children have to grow up way too fast now a days. But that's me being romantic about some idyllic past which never existed and i know was anything BUT romantic for children. Do you work with children? You seem tuned in somehow.
  143.
  144. I get it now 'eep' Sweet how that came together. Thank You for enlightening me
  145. What happened to your drum kit? :s

  150. Hi Conrad,
  151.
  152. Yes I guess I'm not logging onto okcupid as much, guess it's becoming a bit like hard work, lol.
  153. Some people can be very strange, lol.
  154.
  155. Yes I do work with children and have done for a long time, I'm a nanny. I take care of two children at the moment, 2 and 4yrs old.
  156. What do you do for a living?
  157.
  158. I couldn't find your flickr page but will try again.
  159.
  160. I sold my drum kit at end of last year as I was moving and was not going to have space plus I hadn't played in a while, it's not a very practical instrument to play.
  161. Do you play any instruments?

  167. Hi Emily,
  168.
  169. Trust you're well.
  170. Tried googling and yes, it is not as straightforward as I assumed it would be after all. Much easier had I entered the link myself:
  171. http://www.flickr.com/photos/22861587@N00/
  172. Not that my winter pics are worth seeing really. Did you get a chance over the snowy period to go to the Heath yourself?
  173.
  174. That is nice work you do. Children are so rewarding but their boundless energy and enthusiasm can be challenging too. They also seem to have a knack for finding our resistances, so it requires a lot of qualities on the part of the parent or carer as the case may be.
  175.
  176. I'm not as settled as you in my vocation. I am trained as a massage therapist. I also did a 2 year training in Craniosacral Biodynamic (therapy) and although that is where the deepest part of me wakes up and is moved to be in, I have not been able to actualize that in the World and subsist from it.
  177.
  178. Particularly humbling a privilege is to be in the depth and quality of contact that is Craniosacral Biodynamics. Maybe I'm not ready for it yet. Hence I've had to, and have done many other things in my life to support my love and interests. Currently exploring Forex trading as a way to support myself. Hopefully, this will be a breakthrough year for me. Certainly, still far from being on my own sailing boat off an island though.
  179.
  180. Wishing you a lovely day.
  181.
  182. Conrad
  183.
  184. ps. no I do not play an instrument, much to my shame. I would have loved to play piano. I love classical piano. or to be able to sing Puccini - a creative outlet is important for all of us at whatever level of skill.
