  18. <Tiy> Ok well, I'll give you an idea of the plan. Take everything I say with a grain of salt because it's an in development game and anything could change at any time

  20. <Tiy> First there's a main quest, story driven, with missions to complete and an overall goal.

  22. <Tiy> To gain access to each main campaign mission you first have to achieve certain things in the open world/sandbox
  23. <TheLoanArranger> mine 3 million dirt blocks to proceed
  24. <Tiy> those achievements can be made in a multitude of ways, we don't really funnel you through. So you can do quests, you can rob friendly npcs, you can help out friendly npcs, if you're on a pvp server you can rob other players, hold them for ransom, do whatever you want to do really to achieve the goal

  27. <Tiy> You can fight monsters, find materials, find rare objects, etc etc etc

  34. <Clockwork> earlier you talked about a possible beta period with just the sandbox, what would that include?
  35. <Tiy> Thieffi youll probably enter it in an instance, but wit your party
  36. <Tiy> Clockwork everything save the missions
  37. <Tiy> the progression would still be there but youd simply skip the missions

  39. <Kuraj_> Tiy: can we expect any more contests, like the hat contest, that are rewarded with user content being put into game?

  41. <Tiy> once the game is out we'll be doing that a ton
