  1. One physical component of dancing is the stretching that many dancers must do before they start. Dancing can be an activity that requires lots of bending and flexibility, so it is smart to do some stretches to keep yourself from being too tight. Some stretches that dancers do before dancing include hip swings, leg swings, and lunge stretches. All of these stretches are good for warming up your lower body and making it agile for the many movements required in dance. It’s also smart to prepare the some of your upper body muscles. Doing some neck isolations and other neck stretches is a good way to keep it from being too stiff. Lastly, spinning your shoulders around in small rotations will help your shoulders open up more for the bending dancing requires. Once you’ve done all these, you’re ready to start!
