1) I meant that TiC provides a far more resource and XP-efficient ways of getting extremely strong tools in quite similar way as using GT tools (and other mod similar tools/machines) increases efficiency of creating wood stuff. Only difference is GT in addition rebalanced the hand-crafting of wood planks/sticks.

2) GT hasn't bullied anyone, it's fully up to players to decide if they first want to play with GT at all and second what config to use. If anything it was mDiyo who did the bullying by forcibly overriding a fully configurable feature in GT without providing a way to configure it on his side. In addition he completely broke bukkit servers with the way he did the recipe overloading.

Another thing that can be considered as bullying by mDiyo was the whole fortunesmelting fiasco. Instead of providing a config option on his side to turn it of he spammed end-users with blaming GT in the dupe bug for a feature he added and told them to turn off GT features to remove it or even acknowledging that he was the source of the bug. GT had storage block unsmelting nearly half a year before TiC added fortune smelting so he must have known about it and knowingly added the exploit (assuming he knew anything about GT).

It took weeks to work that stuff out and mDiyo didn't even bother to talk to greg besides telling him to change the default configs on his mod. When greg told him to add a config option mDiyo just ignored all his further communication and even blamed  Greg several times of being the one who doesn't communicate. Next time they talked to each other was during the wood nerf stuff and then mDiyo confirmed about being lying when he previously said he had tried to communicate with Greg.


Do note that at no point have I said that crashing the client is a good solution. Though I must admit it worked in form of fixing the whole thing in under 24 hours instead of weeks as it was with fortune smelting. Greg is not perfect but mDiyo is far from it as well. He just hides it better and doesn't have a rabid army of anti-TiC people flaming away as GT has for whatever reason.


Somewhat off topic but Greg has actually worked closely with many modders and helped them add features for increased inter-mod compatibility. Thermal expansion is the prime example of that. I'd really like to know what actions of him did you mean when saying he is bullying other modders.
