- users with FW upto 3.1.3 should be fine.
- just insert the card and activate as you would with a legit sim card.
- users with iOS 4 will have to follow this guide:

- Step 1: Insert this simcard and connect your iphone to itunes. click on your iphone in the left side bar. your iphone will now hit the dock.
- Step 2: You need wi-fi now. Fire up safari and open Jailbreakme.com thanks to comex. DONT INSERT YOUR SIM CARD. Slide the slider and let it do its job. This will essentially install Cydia on to your home screen.
- Step 3: Open Cydia and update the databases, which it'll do by itself.
- Step 4: Install Ultrasn0w to unlock your phone to make it carrier immune. Just enter http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com in Cydia sources and boom, your phone is unlocked after a reboot. Make sure you dont insert your sim card.
- I'm sure all of you already know everything till here.
- Step 5: Insert your sim card. I'm sure it'll revert to the emergency mode again. Dont worry. iTunes has stored the serial number of your phone book sim, that you used to activate. Now when you insert a carrier sim, iTunes or iPhone won't let it coz the number will not match with the phone book sim serial number. This is my guess. Developers and hackers would know better. TAKE OUT THE SIM CARD.
- Step 6. Here's what you got to do now. This is the method to bypass carrier sim lock, after jailbreaking and unlocking and activating via phone book sim. There's a software called iFunBox, which basically helps you browse your iPhone as if it's a hard drive. Get it from:

- Step 7: There's a "lockdown" folder here which we need to patch. The patch stuff is available from:
- http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=241032&d=1281017319
- (YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO GET THIS FILE!!)
- Step 8: Run iFunBox and now you can view all the folders and stuff in your iPhone, just like your windows explorer.
- Step 9: Go to /private/var/root/Library/ and replace the Lockdown folder with the one you downloaded in step 7.
- Step 10: Reboot.
- THAT'S IT!!! YOU ARE DONE!!!
