Regulatory and Safety considerations must be defined for construction and operation stages. For the construction stage, a safety officer must be present all the time, in order to provide safety training and ensure that constructors are following the safety rules of the construction site. Safety equipment, such as helmets, vests, gloves and boots is essential. Any further machinery/equipment should be provided training on. Hydration and sun exposure must be taken care of with water fountains and rotating shifts.  A first aid officer must be present as well, in order to assist injured people.

During operation stage, only trained people should operate and provide maintenance to the system. Gloves and boots are essential to avoid contamination while handling the feedstock. Gas measuring equipment must be continually monitoring the system in order to control any anomaly as fast as possible.
