Need to go back to the first week they were in space and write a story about them going to Mars
On Mars there's a /co/ntainment base
They pick up their armor and the get clearance to use the star gates
some kind of DOOM training simulation to test the suits
They don't know it's a test
Fight... ancient martians that all up and left the planet after Mighty Mantis whooped their asses decades ago.
animitronics? Hard light holograms? Both?
Cookie figures out that it's a simulation because he inherited impossible comic memorization from his dad and recognizes the story
Springtime is a little disappointed, and a little mad at her people since no one there ever realized that, not even her.


They arrive at the base and it looks like it's under siege. The timing is too perfect.

Wrecked ghost spaceship, some really bizarre architecture (possibly a wrecked biodome?), clear evidence of genetic experimentation.
Bigger on the inside.
Very unsettling since this appears to be the ship one of the stealth ships originated from.
Inva needs to finally get outed as being a history buff for recognizing some of the stuff in the ship.
The teuthoid authorities are very interested in this and the trail Cookie and crew have been piecing together

Inva finds lizard alien body(s)
Lizard aliens have a grudge against uplifter aliens and managed to find one of their experiment ships
The fusion aliens are the uplifter aliens' attempt at creating something that can kill the giant space jellyfish
Cookie takes frozen fusion queen, finds logs that show where the stealth ship went
Realizes the spice cultists are near that area and decides to accelerate his plans in getting Philly issues sorted

Get to space fish mega bureaucratic hub

Scooby doo through office doors, picking up forms and handing them in for two minutes, then they get together and literally cut red tape all the way to the head office.
Picking up forms along the way? Not filling them out at all? Just keep accumulating paperwork and then dump it all in the halls of the main office?

Then cut through all the paperwork to clear a path for dramatic effect?

Have a convoy escort of teuthoid traders and authorities with them when they arrive back at the spice moon only to see it in flames and PKs swarming the place

-Spice cultists will have had an incident
-PKs are waiting when they get back, but back the fuck off when they see a larger ships accompanying them
-PKs are busy with the incident happening on the overspace moon research center
Unfortunately in their experimentation, OverSpice 66.0409 went critical and slagged the moon research base all Bastion style.
The surviving cultists were warped beyond recognition, their capillaries blown and torn and then spliced with the new molecule.
They became living conduits of capsaicin and their own artificial variants.
Also angry mad.
They are very confused, angry, and mad.
-caused by the stealth ship crashing into their facilities
-PKs accuse everyone of being in league with the uplifter aliens since all parties involved are way into genetic engineering
-Their evidence is a damaged stealth ship that crashed. It's the same stealth ship that Philly crashed into and was damaged enough to be detectable when entering PK space.
-Spice cultists are angry-mad and mutated.
-On top of this fusion aliens are mad too.
-PKs, Cookie, and teuthoid forces join to fight the fusion aliens
-Need to armor up to go down there.
-space fish are good at genetic engineering and help out getting the spice cultists better.
-Established trade route between spice cultists and space fish

cruixors
-stealth ship was moving through space fish's spiral arm transporting escaped cruixors that were not wiped out, uplifter organization was breeding/cloning them
-stealth ship was a fully autonomous cartographer ship that works as a scout/probe for a larger transport ship sneaking through the arm before it got hijacked
-It's a ship for the uplifter aliens, the PKs ancient enemy.
-Pks need to be giving Cookie and crew a hard time when this starts happening.
-Need to form alliances
-PinaPlus begins to assimilate PK ship wreckage to become Pineapple Beefcake.

-Cruixors queen from ghost ship turned over to Springtime. Somehow they get /d/ mutated into monstergirls?
-Reptile aliens attempt to raid the base, Mars /co/ntainment and Pineapple Cake crew unleash BRUTAL DOOM upon them either with the training simulations or with the cruixors
-Possibly this is when the cruixors get /d/-ified
-lizard aliens see that as humans weaponizing the things and finding ways to control them

one important factor in the setting is that they were originally not similar to any earthly form of reptile, but as they came in contact with humans and their culture, and struggling with their deeply rooted religious nature, they began to believe they truly were the descendants from the creatures of myth and prehistory from the tales brought by the generous visitors and as such, altered themselves to resemble them more and more.
Hundreds of years later, where the story takes place, this has lead to a crisis in which not only the culture and history of the species has been lost, but also their appearance and even their genetic code is endangered, with an important part of the population being completely unable to breed.
The government in turn took the responsibility of aiding couples to conceive artificially, but hidden agendas and corruption quickly took hold of this system, and abuses became common place.
The future itself is another hostage to crime, and this is the world where a rogue combat cyborg plans to make a difference.

possibly a merc group or an empire with guys for hire that work in corrupt PK units

Enter Tennoc and Quaslan "dueling space warlords" who are brother and sister and also rivals. Children of a space warlord who is getting old, both vying to be his successor


Capt. Cookie gets accidentally hired by both. CC gets ordered to cook for one of them, but the other gets jealous and orders CC to cook a better meal than the other one, and vice versa. Basically CC is stuck in the middle of an 'arms race', only swap arms with cooking.
Ends up with CC having to cook all day and all night, and the sibling warlords getting too full to eat but still won't lose to each other - until dad-lord comes and grounds them both to their planets with no dinner.
He then apologizes to CC, but hear that CC is the best cook in the galaxy or something like that - so dad-lord orders a simple soup.
CC does that, and dad-lord is satisfied.
CC then gets a boon from dad-lord, maybe a mcguffin that would be used in another story/near the end of the series when CC faces the end-of-arc boss or something.

And while Cookie is doing all of this, his companions are running around the siblings' ships causing all kinds of chaos.

Member of the symbiote breeder aliens, a rouge type, loves his ship to obsession, his ship is a symbiote, he "wears" the ship. Very protective of it. Treats it like his best friend/lover/child.
