  1. At Ravensdown we genuinely care about our people – their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
  2. Just as we’re driven in finding better grounded solutions to help our customer’s succeed, we’re also focused on bringing the same pragmatism to health and safety.

  4. To help with this we are introducing our ‘Good to Go’ strategy.
  5. The aim of the strategy is to support our people and their loved ones to live safe, healthy and productive lives.
  6. It’s all about working safe and living well.
  7.  
  8. To do this we need to:

  10. Know It: Be informed, have access to the right information through good simple procedures and tools such as Noggin.
  11. Do It: Ensure you are prepared, have the correct gear, and look after those around you. If you see something, Do something about it.
  12. Be It: Ensuring you are Good to Go when it comes to working safely, you are Good to Go when it comes to your health, and Good to Go outside of work as well. Remember wellbeing doesn’t just something for the working day, but life in general.
  13. The first phase of our ‘Good to Go’ strategy is already underway following the launch of Noggin, and I would encourage everyone to continue to use this tool to capture anything related to safety. There will be further enhancements made to Noggin in the coming months.

  15. We will also be launching the first in a set of tools to help you assess you’re wellbeing on the Safety & Wellbeing page of ravnet.
  16. Here you will be able to take surveys to assess both safety and health, and access resources on a range of topics, as we build a knowledge base.

  18. We will also be launching a series of initiatives and promoting activities during the course of the year, to help you in looking after yourself and those around you.

  20. So what does Good to Go mean to us?
  21. When you live well by focusing on you and your family’s health, and work safe by looking after yourself and your mates, bringing the Know It, Do It, Be It philosophy to both work and play.
  22. For health, you can do this by:
  23.  
  24. • Sitting less, and moving more
  25. • Eating well by choosing healthy fuel
  26. • Getting regular health checks
  27. • Looking after your mental wellbeing (PERMAH – see diagram last page)

  29. For safety, you can do this by:
  30.  Knowing the H&S risks and how to manage them…at work, at home, at play
  31.  Know the safe work procedures you need to use and follow them
  32.  Know how to safely use vehicles, equipment and materials that are part of your job
  33.  Wear the right gear – personal protective equipment
