The building stretches upward from the ground before you, the scope on your rifle magnifying your vision to show that not one single window in the 20 story building had be left unbroken, nearly everyone of them having a mass of branches busted out of them

“So do you think it's rven gonna be worth the effort to loot?” you ask as you pull out of the scope, slight blurriness as your eye readjusts to the light of the overcast skies

“Well, no way to know until we go in and look” Shaun says as the three of you start

“Age before beauty” you say to Matthew, a man who stood much taller than you and Shaun, his face covered in premature aging; every wrinkle and pock mark on his face had a story neither you or shaun had any intent to ask about simply on principle and Matthew looking like he'd been the result of a very spirited one nighter between a woman and a Giant.

You keep to the back of the line as the three of you quietly look through every doorway of the lobby. Each. The ground is covered in dust and grim  that had been parted as a make shift trail giving the evidence to heavy looting from prior individuals

“bathrooms empty” you heard shaun shout

Matthews voice echoes around a corner “Breeching a janitor closet!” you then hear a loud series of shotgun rounds being spent.
