The psionic wave dispatches a single smegmo body as a probe towards the intruder, levitating its way through the enthralled ashlands.
Breaches have happened before, but never like this. Pekes swarm armies breach from the earth below, Gloupes hunting raids breach from the land, yet NOTHING ever breached from the skies…
The smegmo probe reaches the top of a mountain, a huge bird made of metal and fire hums as it lands on a flat area. The bird’s metal belly opens, and from the inside a large creature with a white shell and six arms comes out.
“I come from the honorable tyranny of the Twiskies, we come from beyond your skies to negotiate an alliance for an upcoming war”
The psionic network quickly translates, and the probing smegmo replies, the Twiskies can hear the smegmo inside their head rather than from the air, as if they spoke through their thoughts.
“You are an intruder. An eradication wing has been dispatched. Leave or be terminated!”
The twisky giggles and pinches the air with its claws in excitement. “War! What a thrill it would be to fight a wondrous species such as you. Yet if it is a war you seek, there is a different species you must aim for… One far more dangerous than ourselves, the humans…”

“I can not, not until I meet with your leader”
“We are our leader, this body is an extension. We are all here through the psionic wave. We are smegmo.”
“Wonderful…” The twisky sighs and continues “Ever wondered how you came to be? How you have evolved so brilliantly? It is them, they created you, created us… A few dozen planets have been part of their experiment to evolve and research new species as means for their war and advancement! You are a tool for them”
“Irrelevant, humans never engaged with us.”
“Oh but they did… They controlled you, directed how you evolve, how you spread, behind their screens...The humans now know how dangerous their creations were, and they have come back to destroy the planets they have created. We have been waiting for you to evolve as well, fighting your wars out there beyond the skies against the humans. Keeping them away from your precious planet. Your psionic abilities are of great value, they know it and they will come to claim it from you, enthrall you as you enthrall others. These powers of yours could tip the war. We can use you… And you can use us! Together we will gloriously destroy the human republic”
