- >There I am. working at a hot dog stand. I literally have no idea what im doin.
- >It’s in the middle of my city, near a park I'm very familiar with.
- >I try to think back to my memories, and i can picture a bright day, and working in the stand with a random girl. I not sure if I ever met her, but you know how dreams are,
- >At the time though, it felt like any other day, except I didn’t work at a hot dog stand, that, and the fact that I could remember earlier in the day, which was a memory that rarely happens in dreams.
- >I can't really remember the transitions but I said by to the girl and went on my way home.
- >For some reason it’s really dark.
- >I turn back to look at the hot dog stand, And it seems to be a warm and inviting beacon of light.
- >It must be night time or something.
- >Everything has a dullness to it; it's all just a little gray.
- >I don’t know what came over me, but I take a route home through the alley ways.
- >It not even a short cut, but I continue like it’s a just normal or something.
- >there is a fog that sets in. the air feels cool, wet, just like 5 am on a spring morning.
- >I don’t know how but i transitioned it to a hoodie.
- >I can remember clearly seeing my breath as I exhale. That in massive moon in the sky.
- >I continue walking through the alleys, looking at the back ends of the buildings besides me. They just keep going up, endlessly.
- >I see some of the fire escapes on some. and some of those one ton garbage cans.
- >In the back of my head, I can remember thinking about Haven. I can remember looking at my scenery, thinking about how cool it would be if I was walking through the alleys of a dream.
- >The alley ways start twisting and winding, and befor i know it, I find myself lost.
- >There aren’t any recognizable landmarks, or even a way out of the alleyways. I take mindless turns left and right, still in my head.
- >It’s in my head.
- >All of it…right?
- >Then it hits me.
- >I feel something isn’t right. maybe missing, or out of place.
- >I can’t put my finger on it, but that’s what is really screwing with my head.
- >it’s not the fact that it’s dark, and all i have to see with is the luminescent light from an over sized moon. It’s not the fact that there is a gray haze pouring down from the sky or that it encompass my entire field of views.
- >I hear footsteps from behind me.
- >I turn to see some homeless looking drunkard.
- >He looks at me frantically. I can feel his evil intent.
- >I notice that he is holding a knife.
- “Hey man, I Don’t want any-
- >”FUCK YOU MAN!!” ARE YOU THE DEVIL; THE GHOST! I-I’M GONNA KILL HIM”
- >It look as if he’s not even looking at me.
- >He starts babbling to me, telling me to give him my money.
- >He goes back and forth on what I’d imagne a mugging to be, and some guy that’s not making coherent sentences.
- >I wish it were a dream so that Haven could teach this guy a thing or two.
- >It’s insane how i'm feeling right now.
- >That weird feeling is still there.
- >It doesn't bother me at all that this guys is insane. It doesn’t bother me that i can see my breath, but I don’t feel the slightest of chill in the air. It doesn’t fucking bother me that. the building tower up about me to no end.
- >There is just this feeling that is scratch the back of my head, and I yet to undestand it.
- >I take out my wallet and show it to him.
- >Before my eyes, the wall behind him starts getting dark...darker and darker.
- >I take a step back out of reflex.
- >That blackness on the wall. it’s sents shivers down my spine; I feel frozen.
- >The man is just screaming, thrusting his knife up and down, as he looks at me, oblivious to the figure taking form.
- >I KNOW NOW. I know what that feeling is…the feeling thats fucking with me, the one in the back of my head.
- >It’s fear. Pure. Concentrated. Fear.
- >The blood drain from me, I literally go numb. unable to think, let alone move or speak.
- >It’s solidifies into a monster, I can still remen it’s piercing red eyes. Just staring at me.
- >I see as one if its tentacles form into a spear and instantly is sticking out of the middle of the mans chest.
- >Blood gushes out everywhere as the guy tries to turn around.
- >He brings up his knife while he screams,
- >His arms just falls off as a tentacle pass right through it, spraying blood everywhere.
- >I just watch unable to do anything. I just stumble backwards and up against the building wall.
- >I start calling for Haven in my head, asking her to save my life.
- >The man is raise straight up on the air, gasping and gurgling on his own blood.
- >The mother forms a mouth. Its bloody and full of black spikes.
- >The man flails his arms and legs, but it’s no use, the mothers starts devouring him.
- >I can hear the shrieks and cries echo in the silence.
- >I’m scared to death, and soon I’ll be just like that man...I’ll be gone and forgotten just like I never existed.
- >It Starts coming for me, and I dig my feet into the ground trying to push the building wall behind me.
- >I Can see the tentacle coming closer, then solidifying into sharp spear.
- >It’s coming closer! Those piercing red eyes, I do the last thing I can think of. I scream.
- “HELP ME HAVEN!!!!!”
- >The spear of darkness flies into my chest, and I squeeze my eyes shut.
- >”Always getting yourself into trouble, huh?”
- >That voice, it’s her!
- >I open my eyes to see a grotesque sight. the spear of darkness is in my chest but it doesn't hurt, not even the slightest bit.
- >Darkness forms all around me. I can feel it in each and every pore.
- >Everything turns black, but I don’t feel that fear anymore, I’m not even scared.
- >The darkness exits my body and I can see again.
- >The tentacle isn’t in my chest anymore.
- >There standing in front of me is Haven!
- >The same as usual, with that heart warming smile and her noticeable sleep deprived eyes.
- >’Don’t worry squishy. I’ll take care of this nightmare.
- >After she says that, she forms into a dark mass just like the monster in front of her, only, her eyes are an intense glowing blue.
- >It’s almost scary, if I didn’t know better, I’d think she as a monster.
- >The shadow in front of her back into the building and starts reverting into nothingness.
- >As soon as it all happens, it’s all over, and Haven turns back into her normal pony self.
- >”That right run! I’ll be waiting.
- >She turns to me and give me a comforting smile.
- >I am overwhelmed with my emotions, I’m about to cry.
- >she rolls her eyes and give me playful smile.
- >She then awkwardly stand up on her back hooves, with her front hooves open wide.
- >I run up to her, embrace her, picking her up and twirling around.
- >She hugs me back and says, “It’s been a while, I’m sorry I havent seen you.”
- “I don’t care! you’re here right now! thats all that matters.”
- >I set her down, still hugging her tight.
- >”No, I sorry, I truly am.”
- >I let go as I kneel on the ground and look back at her.
- >Haven looks as it she’s going to cry.
- >it’s so out of character. Havens always the one to comfort me, no matter what. She’s always smiling a protecting me.
- >I wipe the tears away from her eyes.
- “Don’t cry, I can't bare to see it.”
