- - Skip Leaf Stone if no early Exeggcute? And go back to Safari if you really need it later?
- - Silph Co. stairs are faster on emu (probably on console too)
- - When box editing, hold Start to jump to "BOX1" (instead of going up several times to drag Pokemon to party)
- - The walker after Bond Bridge is a safe pass from above because she would block you if she turned to face up
- - Getting statused on Three Island is really bad. Take more measures to avoid it:

- - Why X Special on Viridian Rival? Consider cheaper/faster strats
- - Favor buying Full Restores before Round 1, then skipping Round 2 shop
- DAY 4
- - Teach Thunder for Viridian Rival if poke/ball count is high? Always OHKO Growlithe, range on Zam
- - Can skip Calcium if you buy 3 fewer Ultra Balls (10) and buy 1/11/25/7/2/2 in Celadon
- DAY 5

- - Early Thunder is especially useful if the exp. allows you to skip Agility on Viridian Rival
- - Early Thunder allows VR Growlithe to be used for bug exp. (avoids Rock Blast/Fury Attack risk/time loss)
- > If Growlithe lands Take Down, it can improve/guarantee the SW range (no YOLO Thunder needed)
- DAY 8
- - With great Attack and proper HP for Silph Rival, buy 1 fewer X Attack, 2 fewer Guard Specs. and 1 more Leaf Stone
- > Skipping the Guard Spec. adds a Gyarados range on Silph Rival (47% with x/x/31 IV)
- > You have to buy one fewer item on Three Island ($10 short)
- DAY 9
- - X Acc instead of X Special on Champ 1 if Gyarados is a range
- DAY 10
- - Play for Max Ether skip (8s maximum save) with god Sp. Atk and high HP exiting Rock Tunnel (can MP/Bite some things)
- - Go back to forest for second bug if poke count is low and you can still reach goal time
- DAY 11
- - If you have a spare Max Repel, use it on Warehouse Escape Rope menu, then bike back to Five Island (saves 2.2s)
- > Revised catch strats, especially in Mansion, should allow this more often than not
- DAY 12
- - Revised late-game catch baselines (9 Safari, 5 Mansion, 5 Three Island)
- DAY 13
- - Set up to +2 on Lorelei 2 if Dewgong is guaranteed with SW (need x/17/a at L60)
- - If Blastoise is just outside of Torrent for Blaine, consider using Zapdos for Growlithe and Ponyta (latter only with high Sp. Atk), then switching in Blastoise. Loses 3-4 seconds on full Torrent strats, but faster than non-Torrent, plus gives ~3000 exp for Zapdos
