A little rant on Achaea

I am probably not the most qualified person to be making this statement, but I do feel like it needs to be said.  You have ran a very successful text based game for a long time.  You are, however, trying to evolve your business.  You want to ride this money train for as long as you possibly can, maybe even retire off of it.  Now we all know you don't live in poverty.  You might not drive a Maserati, but you certainly are not wanting for a whole lot.  You can roll out promotion after promotion of mindless drivel, but sooner or later people are going to realize it is all worthless crap.  If you want to be a business, be a business.

Your players are paying you, yet you are releasing nothing about what we are paying for.  All I am asking for is a little productivity and insight.  You lead your player base on with teasers and promises of new features like ships and multiclass, then take years delivering.  We both know multiclass could be coded in a single sitting by some of your paid staff.  Why are you waiting to release something as ground breaking as multiclass code?  By my understanding, we are waiting on house changes.  You intend to rewrite/code/lead/guide every house in Sapience to a way of life instead of the home of a class.  While I fully support this idea, as I think it is going to open up a lot of avenues for roleplay that are not just "Lol, We are monks and we bow and kick stuff", I fail to see how this changes multiclass.  Release the codes, fix houses as you go.  Houses will soon go the way of Targossas, so just open them up to all classes, that they wish, now, and work them out as time allows.  Get rid of the stupid policy of one class per house per city and let us go nuts till you rein us in with house changes one at a time.  Postponing multiclass until after house changes makes about as much sense as holding off on serpent classleads till you blow up Targossas.  While you are capable of holding off till you fix everything else wrong with your game, multiclass is not going to break Achaea.  You definitely won't be losing money on it.  Early release of multiclass is going to do nothing but drive sales.  Everyone is going to be spending to pick up additional classes.  You are fresh out of tax season.  You could make a killing just off impulse buys.  Just do it.


About me: I personally have thrown thousands of dollars at your games.  While I may not be a mega bonus like Antonius or Jhui, over the course of it all, I can guarantee I have paid your electric bill a few times.  I have paid for your insurance on that new car Kross bought for you.  Hell, I bet that I have even bought your lunch.  I am part of your constituency.

While I trust that you would never punish someone for sharing their opinions, I am not about to risk all the time, money and effort I have placed in your games over something like this.  Just going to hope you stumble across it or someone points it in your direction.  Read it, and do with it what you want.  We both know you will anyway.
