  1. A lot of the scientific community has begun to adapt and believe a theory referred to as "the gay gene." It's technically not proven but the best most likely theory developed for the moment. Just like albinism, red hair, dwarfism, or most illnesses it was originally caused by a mutation in the genetic scheme. Through a long time of reproduction (since being LGBT was so incredibly frowned upon at the time you'd be beheaded for it), what began as a mutation became a recessive gene, one that's much more common today than before. So it's basically that it's in the genes from birth. HOWEVER, even having the gene doesn't guarantee being gay, it only increases the likelihood a lot. In puberty, who you're raised by, and how you grow up affect what your orientation will be. However, this does not mean it's a choice. Ty 4 hosting
