  1. If you're looking for the old OB: Dolls, it's in a saved revision. I ate it. Without further ado, here's a more balancey and hopefully not overcomplicated version of Dolls. Still WIP I guess since it's only the first draft. - Zene

  6. - Prerequisites: N/A
  7. - Cost: Passive
  8. Description:
  9. Dolls can be joined together or split from Little Legions in any particular formation as a free action. Little Legions pool together the HP and of all the dolls in them, and most doll abilities scale based on the number of each type of doll grouped together. Dolls are destroyed when the Little Legion is attacked; higher HP dolls are lost before lower HP dolls.
  10. Little Legions have no stats, but gain defensive dice based on present dolls.
  11. During the caster's turn, a Little Legion can make a single movement or use one attack from each doll's list it has dolls for. (For instance, any number of melee dolls and any number of ranged dolls in the same group allows the group to make one melee and one ranged attack during the caster's turn.)

  13. The maximum number of dolls that can be grouped into one Little Legion is equal to the caster's MAG (+2 with Gifted).
  14. The maximum number of total dolls usable at once is equal to twice the caster's MAG (+4 with Gifted).

  16. The types of dolls and their abilities are as follows.

  18. Doll-at-Arms (2 HP)
  19. - Doll Lance: 2d10 Melee attack on a single target in Close range, dealing 1 w/s 1 pen. Increases by 1 die up to 5 for each additional Doll-at-Arms; past 5 dice, increase by 1 per 2 additional Doll-at-Arms.
  20. - Doll Guard: 1d10 STR defence vs. Melee, Mystic, or Spell. Increases by 1 die up to 4 for each additional Doll-at-Arms; past 4 dice, increase by 1 per 2 additional Doll-at-Arms.

  22. Arbalest (1 HP)
  23. - Doll Shoot: 2d10 Ranged attack on a single target in Close range, dealing 1 w/s 0 pen. Increases by 1 die up to 5 for each additional Arbalest; past 5 dice, increase by 1 per 2 additional Arablests.
  24. - Doll Maneuver: 1d10 AGI defence vs. Melee or Ranged. Increases by 1 die up to 4 for each additional Arbalest; past 4 dice, increase by 1 per 2 additional Arbalests.

  26. Pavise (3 HP)
  27. - Doll Blockade: takes the place of an attack. Converts 1 HP per Pavise into Soak until the start of the caster's next turn. Pavises are destroyed when 3 points are lost between HP and Soak in any combination. (e.x. 1 HP and 2 soak / 2 HP and 1 soak / 0 HP and 3 soak, etc.)
  28. - Doll Cover: takes the place of an attack. Causes the Pavises to take damage in place of a single target in Close range. The target still rolls their own defence, and any damage that exceeds the total HP of the Pavises goes through to hit the original target (round damage up to determine leftover successes if hitting soak). The Pavises will take HP damage before the target takes Soak damage.

  30. By default, a user of Doll magic can begin an encounter with:

  47. Creates 1/2/3 dolls from any selection of types somewhere within Close range. 1 FP may optionally be spent to create an additional doll.

  58. Heals 2/4/6 wounds from any dolls in Close range who have taken damage but have not yet been destroyed. Healed wounds may be destributed to dolls in any manner the caster wants.

  61. - Prerequisites: 6/8/10 MAG OR 8/10/12 STR, Doll-at-Arms within Close range

  68. Make a STR-based Melee or Unarmed attack on a single target, using Doll Lance's damage if neither a Melee or Unarmed weapon is available. If it hits, a single Little Legion within Close range of the caster makes a Doll Lance attack on the same target with +1/2/3 bonus dice.
  69. If the caster has a Mystic weapon with Enchanted, the initial attack gains +1 dice; Empowered gives the initial attack +1 soak penetration.

  72. Seeker Dolls
  73. - Prerequisites: 6/8/10 MAG OR 8/10/12 AGI, Arbalest within Close range

  79. Description:
  80. Make an AGI-based Ranged attack on a single target, using Doll Shoot's damage if a Ranged weapon is not available. If it hits, a single Little Legion within Close range of the caster makes a Doll Shoot attack on the same target with +1/2/3 bonus dice. Unlike making a normal Doll Shoot attack, Seeker Dolls allows firing at targets beyond Close range.
  81. If the caster has a Mystic weapon with Enchanted, the initial attack gains +1 dice; Empowered gives the initial attack +1 soak penetration.

  84. Lancer Storm

  92. Consumes a Doll-at-Arms from a Little Legion within Close range and fires it at a target, dealing 2 w/s 1 pen. Up to two extra Doll-at-Arms can be consumed to increase the soak penetration by the same amount.
  93. Each sacrificed Doll-at-Arms removes 2 HP from the Little Legion.

  103. Description:
  104. Turns an Arbalest from a Little Legion within Close range into an explosive, and launches it at a target to deal 2 w/s 1 pen. Up to two extra Arbalests can be consumed to target as many other enemies with the same casting of the spell.
  105. Each sacrificed Arbalest removes 1 HP from the Little Legion.
