A Deadly Aroma

It sprouts from nothing but a small bud,
The seed made black and covered in blood.
Planted by emotions felt by us all,
Left untouched as the stem will never fall.

Where this flower is found none should tread,
It will cloud the thoughts inside your head.
Comes with a price that must be paid,
Your will and spirit will begin to fade.

The aroma of sin consistent and detailed,
Made to watch as your life is derailed.
In control you thought but that was a lie,
You were just another forced to comply.

No longer yours is the choice to kill,
The leaf will continue to devour until
Nothing remains alive in your wake,
The happiness you desired was always fake.

It shall corrupt those who give in,
Change who you are, outside and within
You may think your suffering will end soon,
But the flower of evil takes all who wish to see it bloom.
