Volume 6, Chapter 3

Sumeragi Shion

"Then next is me!"

Kyoya rubbed his feet that were about to fall asleep, right as he wanted to stand up-

Shion-san casually sat down on the empty seat that Prez had occupied just moments before.

"Eh?"

Kyoya froze in the middle of standing up and looked around the clubroom.

Everyone was facing towards him, some smiling, some with a mischievous grin-the difference

in attitudes was too strange.

It looks like it's time for that again.

Starting from Prez, then comes Shion-san, Megumi-chan, Kirara-san, everyone comes once, it

was the GJ-Bu's usual rotation. (TL note: a series of chapters with each girl that have the

same topic, happens once at the beginning of every volume).

"Then, what's the topic for today?"

"I guess it would be something like complaining to Kyoro-kun about things we're not

satisfied with in our daily lives. We have to correct that mistaken 'cute' impression you

have of me."

"Eh-?"

As a peaceful man who surrenders when pushed, Kyoya had always believed his actions

shouldn't have incited any ill will from others.

"Did I do something? Did I do something that would make everyone unhappy?"

"A lot, I should think."

Shion-san pulled back finger after finger while counter with an intrigued expression. Ahh!

Shion-san feels different from usual, this isn't Shion-san, and not "Shii" either, but evil

mastermind mode dark Shion.

She raised her index finger.

"First complaint."

"Yes."

Kyoya adjusted his posture, sitting still obidiently on the floor.

"You often call me a 'cute creature'."

She raised her middle finger.

"Secondly, you often say I lack commmon sense."

"Mhm, but that's because-"

"I didn't say you could talk back!"

"Ah, yes."

"That Shii's getting pretty into it, hm, how scary."

After already getting her turn, Prez looked at her fingernails with a nonchalant observer's

additude.

"That's right. A senpai, like Mao said, should command some fear from her Kouhai. As your

senpai, I have a duty to teach you that you are merely a small, cute animal, and definitely

not my protector-"

"Mhm, I've never thought of myself as Shion-san's protector though-"

Following quickly after, her ring finger raised as well.

"Thirdly, you often think of yourself as my 'knight of common sense'."

"I've never said that! I shouldn't have ever said that."

"Yes, I know you didn't say it. But you've always thought that didn't you."

"Eh?"

Kyoya tilted his head, about this...didn't he tell someone about this?

"What's a 'knight of common sense'? Is that like the 'knight of milk'?" (TL note: a running

side plot about another guy in Megu's class who's her knight of milk, since Megu doesn't

like milk so he drinks it for her in their school lunches)

Megumi-chan, who should be up next has already finished preparing black tea and is now

waiting on the side. The desks spread out nearby look like a waiting room.

"A knight of common sense...well, whatever, it's not important."

"That's not important?!"

Prez immediately retorted. Shion-san cracked a smile with the corners of her lips.

Shion was already back to her normal self. Calm, mature, and always teasing Kyoya, she's too

cool...there's no trace of the 'cute creature' left.

Only now did Kyoya find that his hands were tightly gripping his kneecaps, his palms were

already filled with sweat.

"Ok, you should be back to the usual you, and I'll go back to being the usual me. I have two

rules you have to follow. The first one is to never call me 'cute' ever again."

"Is it ok if I think it?"

"Yes."

"It's ok?!"

Prez cut in suddenly, but Shion-san ignored her plainly, making it difficult to tell her

serious she was.

"The second rule is, before you criticize my lack of common sense, you have to present

accurate evidence."

"The evidence is everywhere!"

"The third rule is-"

There should've been only two rules to follow, but there ended up being more and more.

Shion-san was very into it today, being very confident and natural. Kyoya had learned

another side of of Shion-san.

"Alright, Shinomiya-kun, let's have tea."
