1) I have been contacted by ROP programs for the county including Colton Redlands Yucaipa School district about running a series of spring break activities for High School kids. This could branch into summer camp program (weeklong) where we could teach something like Pi’s or Cyber Patriot. What does this potentially mean for students…. more work = paid (leaders)/unpaid (volunteers) internship experience. I foresee this as a great way for non-SFS students to do something cool and resume building over the summer, not to mention an opportunity to mingle with corporate sponsors and employers. I need to see who is interested from the club to lead and make this happen. I have a potential pot of money that I can apply for to fund as a project. Money is not easy to come by and this would likely take me 3 weeks to get the grant out so only the serious may apply.
