8. Appearance: Ben is considerably short for his age, standing at 5’5” and weighing 128 pounds with a straight, upright posture. He has black hair, stylised in spikes that go down to his ears and in some areas point outwards, with matching colour eyes. He takes great effort into taking care of his appearance, making sure that he looks presentable when he is at school and that he looks clean and professional when at an important gathering. Ben always stands with a straight posture, with his back generally straight and his hands generally to his side or pulling down his shirt.
9.
10. Ben, unless he’s at an important gathering, doesn’t generally take care in how he dresses. Plain coloured t-shirts and jeans dominate his wardrobe, his main colours being blue and green. He makes sure to dress to impress when the time’s important, though, having several pairs of formal attire, such as tuxedos. One the day of the abduction, Ben was in his non-formal attire, wearing a blank green t-shirt, plain blue jeans, and black sports shoes.

12. Biography: Benjamin Fields was born on the 27th of January, 1997 to John and Stephanie Fields. Both of them went to Cochise when they were in their late teenage years, and they gained a natural attraction for each other, starting to date and then marrying later on. Ben was not an only child, with his sister, Lana, being born in September 1999. While his family is not explicitly rich, they do have money to spend, with Ben and Lana being able to buy things they need without much trouble. Ben deeply cares about his remaining family, and makes sure no trouble comes their way.

14. In elementary school, Ben was noted for being an incredibly smart student, with an attention and interest for detail and a social temperament that always meant that he could be the centre of attention both in and out of the playground. He had a close circle of friends around this time, but he made sure that he knew the names of everybody in his grade, and made sure to stay on good terms with them. When his sister enrolled into the school system, he made sure that she was doing okay with it, and stuck up for her when she was in trouble.
15.
16. He also discovered his interest for baseball during this time, and it developed into an on and off hobby for him. He likes the sport, finding the exercise that it brings exhilarating for him, with the feeling of success that happens when he successfully hits home base or catches a ball on the full. He is currently one of the third basemen for the Cochise Coyotes, and is a considerably good power hitter, meaning that he can be a slugger when he needs to.
17.
18. Around this time, he also gained an interest in history. This is mostly due to his love of mythology, and of the stories his dad used to tell him to get him to fall to sleep every night. He finds the subject easy for him, with him having ability for him to easily memorise dates, years, and timeframes. In particular, Ben is interested in military history of all kinds, particularly the American Civil War and the Napoleonic Wars. This stemmed into an interest in the military in general, and he has considered applying to be in the military when he comes of age.
19.
20. During Elementary School, he also became known for not being very tolerant of some of the bullies at his school. He would often stand up for people getting bullied, and was willing to get physical with the bully, if they didn’t stop. While he never got into any actual fights, he still was fairly known as someone who was willing to do so. He still considers himself to be anti-bullying, despite the homophobia he developed, and will not tolerate bullying if he sees it in the hallways.
21.
22. When Ben was eight, he noticed a change in his father’s demeanour. John started taking more days off work, sometimes spending entire days lying on the couch, watching TV. He would have lapses in memory, often forgetting what he was doing in the middle of doing it. Later on, his speech became slurred, and sometimes he wouldn’t be at home at all. Unbeknownst to Ben, John had been diagnosed with a brain tumour, and he only had six months to live. His parents had both decided that it was for the best that Ben not know about his father’s impending death; and, when he was admitted into the hospital, his mother told Ben that it was simply due to overworking, and she allowed him to visit him every couple of days.
23.
24. On the 23rd of April 2005, John Fields died. Ben didn’t find out until the next day, when he was supposed to visit him. Ben, not knowing about his terminal illness and coupled with the shock from his father dying, started to draw himself in socially, choosing to read by himself during recess rather than interacting with friends or other people. At home, he started helping out more around the house, to support the family with the father gone, and he vowed that he would become stronger so that he would be able to support the family when his mother was unable to work. He still mourns to this day, taking time off every Father’s Day to visit his grave with his family.
25.
26. Middle School came for Ben around this time, and he was able to adjust appropriately. He started to reach out socially again, and while he couldn’t attain the popularity of his elementary school days, he still had a core group of friends, from the baseball crowd and through people he saved from bullying. He started studying at this point as well, and worked to keep his grades high in order to get a high paying job later in life.
27.
28. It was at this point where his homophobia began to develop. Noticing the language and homophobic slurs that some of his classmates used, Ben decided to adopt it to fit in with them. As he used it more, he began to believe that being anything other than heterosexual was a bad thing, and while he doesn’t persecute people for doing so, he acts visibly uncomfortable if he is near someone he believes is homosexual. He doesn’t use the language at home, since he’ll be scolded for swearing if he does so.
29.
30. He also became interested in Law at this point; seeing the job of a lawyer as something that was high paying and as something that could support his family. In addition to this, he realized that becoming either a defence lawyer or a prosecutor would be a job that suited him, appealing to his sense of justice and presence in the anti-bullying committee. It is one of the things he has considered as a job when he leaves high school, and the one that he thinks will be the highest paying. To him, the only downside is that if he isn’t good enough at it, he’ll either let a guilty man free or an innocent man in jail.
31.
32. Another hobby that Ben picked up in middle school is Drama, doing a course of it during his time there. He enjoys acting, and while he isn’t interested in choosing acting as a career, considering it a massive gamble that won’t work out in the long run for him, he is in the Drama Club at Cochise and considers himself a decent enough actor to not mess up a part.
33.
34. High school didn’t give much of a change to Ben, except for a change in friends and an increased motivation to study. His grades are in the high B’s/high A’s area, which he works hard to maintain. In particular, he excels at PE and History, due to finding both subjects easy for him and both being something he is good at. As mentioned earlier, he is a member of the anti-bullying committee, the baseball team, and the drama club. Socially, he still has a core group of friends, but he has made enemies due to his homophobia, particularly from Cochise’s large openly gay population.
35.
36. Ben’s last hobby is something that he didn’t expect to pick up, rapping. During his moments of free time, or while studying, he often puts different types of rap on to listen, to get a feel for different styles and rhythms. In particular, he likes Eminem, Pitbull, Yelawolf, and Jay-Z. He has considered becoming a professional rapper when he leaves high school, but he hasn’t done anything with this ambition.
37.
38. Which leads on to what Ben thinks is his main problem in life. Ben isn’t entirely sure what he wants to do, even in his last year in high school. He has a massive amount of passion, his father’s death making him want to become rich to support his family, but he doesn’t know what he wants to do with that passion. He has considered using his hobbies to gain income, but he’s not sure which one to take, and which one he’s good at.
39. Advantages: Due to being the third baseman on the baseball team, Ben is in good physical shape. He is also considerably smart, and can use his acting skills to be able to lie his way out of a situation.
40. Disadvantages: Ben doesn’t have many friends in the school community, due to his social back down at the end of elementary school and his homophobia. In addition, his hatred of bullies might blind him into misinterpreting a situation.
