  6. Homeless students on college campus have always had a struggle attending and paying for college. With a lot of class resources and ways to turn in assignments online, homeless students who do not have a computer face a big disadvantage compared to regular students. State and federal government provide support for homeless students through high school, but at the end of high school it’s “as if they cease to exist” (Bader 695). Homeless students are simply not recognized after high school. For homeless students an education would mean a chance to escape poverty, making the lack of support for them a serious difficulty.

With a lot of education moving to being online, it makes it difficult for those homeless students who can’t afford a computer to do their work.   8. Homeless students have to face difficulty paying for college. Although they may receive help and benefits through high school, it can become challenging for them once they begin college, even if scholarships or financial aid is offered, it is still not enough to support them.
  9. Attending college classes is difficult for homeless people to add into their already hard lives. The challenges many of them face while attending school include following a schedule, developing more contemporary skills, understanding new courses, and attempting to fit in with their fellow classmates. They have no one to turn to for help and “without access to a workspace or access to a shower, students’ lives suffer their grades suffer, and they are more likely to drop classes, if not entirely withdraw from school” (Bader 697)
